I had heard this years ago but i didn’t realize how well changing the volume actually synced up with literally just harder vs softer pounding on a door. Like it really truly is the same sound just quiet vs loud.

There is a BackRooms GMOD map that uses this sound, I remember already a bit creeped out by the ambience of the level and then you hear this shit, fucking gave me a heart attack.
