I got 3 stihl saw, passed down to me from my pops/ along wit his log splitter , I picked up 1 of those Chinese saws, to use on the front lines , and give my stihl saws a rest! I adjusted the oil screw on the bottom of the saw/ wide open to get max oil lubricant . When u flip ur saw upside down , look closely - u will see a diagram showing wich direction to turn for more or less oil flow . Been 3 years and I continue to use the Chinese saw in my line up.- Rotation . I had to only buy another side cover for it. Since the chain adjuster screw stripped out on me. ( due to my mistake ) didn’t have the side cover on correctly. It come stock wirh a 22” bar and chain . After I wore them out . I down sized it and used my 18 bar and chain off of my 028 stihl saw. And that seem to rip through the logs . The stock 22” bar it come with was a little too much bar for the 52 cc motor . 18” bar was perfect . $125 is pretty much worth it for me . Going into its 4th year with it. It’s earned it’s Nick name in my family of stihl saws. The colors of my Chinese saw is black and orange . I call it the phantom . It continues to give my stihl saws a break . So I can maintenance them. While the phantom fills in and keeps me cutting . Thank you! I hope my info/ story can help anyone . God bless 👍

You must have gotten one that made a little better. There's not much QC among those small factories. Better factories, yes they do make better products. I think I got a crappy one. I still can't get my stihl 032AV to run correctly. It's scream like it got power but start cutting, it lose power where the chain stop.

Hey, thanks Mr. Tone Dude for giving a good example on how to tighten the chain on my new Chinese gas chainsaw. My total cost for my Topteng 62cc, 22 inch bar was $169.00 and thanks to you I have just completed the assembly of the chainsaw (purchased in mid March 2024). If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't! Hopefully, tomorrow I'm going to take it outside and give it a test run. Again, thanks for the video.
P.S. This chainsaw came in an old unmarked box that was all taped up with clear tape. I bought this saw through Amazon and they refused to reimburse me when I tried to return the chainsaw, and in addition to that, the company refused to email or call me to give the location to return the saw and give me my money back! The chainsaw came damaged in the box! Hopefully, things will turn out okay. Again, thanks.

mine came with one of the bar studs bent, so I had to bend it back to get the cover on. The chain break is also finicky, It sometimes takes me a few times of clicking it in and revving it up to get it to release, I noticed the break drum wasn't perfectly round, it was a very tiny bit warped. These were problems I was expecting to deal with considering how cheap it is, and its been working fine with the hour or so of cutting I have done with it. The main reason I bought it was because I want to mod a chainsaw to give it more power and didn't want to risk screwing up my old Dolmar110

I guess if you have some knowledge of small engine repair, then you can fix or improvise to get it going. I didn't want to mess with it even though i could have made it work. It's new. I shouldn't have tinkered with it.

I have essentially the same saw. It came to $89-something after tax and shipping and was shipped with Styrofoam. It has none of the problems you mention and this all just looks like user error. The only issue I have is the air cleaner seal isn't perfect and there's wood residue in the carb. However, that's the fault of a piece of rubber, not an entire saw. Obviously you use electric saws since you were setting the saw on the logs before revving. You don't do that with gas saws since they have no torque at low RPMs. You also should grease the grease holes on the end of the bar.
Again, all I see is user error. And if you keep on starting saws only to immediately start cutting, no matter what brand you buy won't last long. You'll score up the cylinder wall due to the piston and rings heating up and expanding before the cylinder is ready. Judging by the fact that you're using the top tip of the bar to start some cutting, I don't think your chainsaw days will last very long. I hope you have life insurance or are at least wearing a helmet since you're shaking hands with danger when you do that.

I bought the exact same chinese saw, 62cc version. I think it is a knock off of a husqi.
I was alarmed when you said you mixed fuel at 40:1. If that is what you do, the saw will seize pretty soon. I bought one and ran it at 40:1 and it melted the piston after only 2 hours use. These saws must be run in for first 5 tanks at 20:1, and after that at 25:1 and never less than that. A little known fact of two strokes is that if you run them with very low ratio, eg 15:1 you will get MORE power, but it may coke up the spark plug quicker, esp if you dont run it at full throttle.
My saw leaks bar oil also. so I empty the tank after using it, to put it in storage. there should be a oil flow adjustment screw underneath, to minimise the oil fling.
My saw had problems with the oil pump drive which is under the chain sprocket , it has to engage with the actual chain drive sprocket, and is white nylon. So check that
The pin roller bearing in the clutch had no grease on it, so check that.
I drilled holes in my muffler to help dissipate the exhaust heat better.
I had to buy a set of carb adjustment screw drivers from Aliexpress, or Amazon for the carbs, It went out of adjustment very quickly. Its not hard to adjust if you watch a YT tutorial on that.
Never run the saw lean, alway adjust it to run on the rich side to also help reduce cylinder temperature.
After a heavy cutting session on 2 1/2 foot thick logs, I took off the muffler to drill it out, and saw I had scored the piston a bit from too much heat, thats when I richened up the mixture to help it run cooler. These saws can be good but do no like to get too hot.
Before you even use it, throw away the spark plug and get an NGK one.Chinese plugs can ruin your ignition coil, had that happen.
Take it to a saw shop to get the exact right file size for the chain, should be 4mm, or 5/64""
These saws can do a tremendous amount of work if looked after, they are just sensitive and messy.
I chains are ok, the bar is soft, so after a season check the bar for wear. If it is feeling rough, file it back smooth and 90 degrees to the bar side face. Otherwise it will start cutting in an arc instead of straight, very aggravating.

Here in the Philippines that only cost $40 but you need to maintain the clearance between the ignition coil and it's magneto for efficient electric current to the sparkplug with 25:1 oil unleaded gas ratio. If the 2T oil 20:1 then the spark plug will wet and it will lost its electric power. Always clean the ignition coil where it contacts the magneto to avoid dirt as an insulator of it's electricity.

The chain would just stop spinning. In my case, chain was not properly lubricated along slinging oil toward the user along with wood shavings.

If your not mechanically minded and your part of the snowflake generation then Chinese ain't the way to go, they certainly are a lot of fun to fix and very educational to rebuild with cheap parts. Hey you get what you pay for and they do a pretty good job bang for buck wise, every one that is butt hurt owns a Stihl or is selling a Stihl, if Stihl did not charge a ransom for its products "IN THE PAST", these alternatives would never have arisen. The Chinese have certainly made Stihl lower their prices radically, and you know what, the quality with Stihl ain't there any more these days either, so another reason to go with the copy as the gap narrows. I have two 6200 Baumr AG's and one serves as a backup in case something breaks, plus i have another saw I can call on way less than the price of a Stihl. I think they are worth it, but hey I can fix anything if it breaks.
