This is a GREAT video! I had been impressed by your technique until I got to the mudding part. That was NEXT level, my friend! Really incredible and simple techniques. Thank you.
Great weathering, it looks verry realistic. I'd like both kind of wheatering ,just a bit or heavy muddy like yours because youre did it right 👍 (only one thing i would add is some muddy footsteps of the crew) but thats just personal and depends on the diorama. Greetz Robin.
Robin, I was thinking about the footsteps but I decided to left it without them because there is so much to catch during watching that it could be too much. But I was very close to made them :) Thank you for your comment! :)
Another great video! I like the texture of the AK mud product you used...I may have to get some. One idea I have for you, if you want to add more colour 'pop' to the model: you could paint the exposed hub on the first roadwheel on each side (where the crew removed the front wheel to avoid mud clogging) in a red primer colour. That seems realistic that the face of the central hub could be primer, and would look interesting I think next to the mudding running gear :)
Yeah, you're completely right! I forgot about these little elements. They should be red. This is obvious. Thank you for pointing this oversight. Yeah, you right that the AK stuff has good texture. I like to use them as they are ready to use and we dont need to paint them.
:) pzdr!
Really turned out well. Your skill with mud texture is very good. Can I ask why you chose to paint the Feifel hoses black? I've seen other people do this but I don't recall seeing a wartime image of them painted that way.
Thx Adam! Well I painted them in that way becasue of the contrast. Probably they should be painted in the same color as the rest of the tank. But for the model itself it look much better and contrasting. That's all :)
Great video, this will help me with future builds, thank you. Quick question what brand of brushes are you using? They look great! Keep up the great work!
