    This is the greatest model build from start to finish I have ever seen. The combination of rust and overall weathering effects are astounding! If this build doesn't win a first place award at any model show then the judges are out of their tiny little minds. Excellent job Uncle Night Shift! 👍🥇🏆

    Maybe the dirt and other debris collected to the top of the tank because soldiers climbed up and down the tank with dirty boots. Especially around the hatch. Or just explosions tossing dirt around. Great video as always by the way!

    i cant remember if i have commented on this video but if i did forgive me, but it gets better everytime i watch it something new, but for the result to be so beautiful is incredible as if the tank it self is a diorama occuring, its alive with character , as if it has a story to tell, i cant tell if its a desert africa tiger or a eauropean tiger, its very beautiful.

    I can explain the dirt and stuff around the turret hatches. Whenever it’s muddy or grimy, we always knocked out boots off on the hatch before climbing in, otherwise we’d get mud all over our seats.

    Nice job, as usual. It is beginning to take form and looks extremely realistic! I don't find acetone all that offensive. What is really strong is common lacquer thinner. I keep a can of it around for cleaning my airbrushes. It will remove almost any type of paint from your needle, nozzle, etc. See ya'll next week.

At least they gave me like 30.- off and shipped it with their last assembly guide block aiding in pinning the track 🤣

  • @burre01
    @burre01 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    ofcourse there is dirt ontop of the tank, the crew walking around with dirty boots (especially in wet/muddy conditions) leaves alot of dirt, i worked 5 years as a machine operator (forest) and leaving the dirt outside can sometimes be a little tricky. one thing i can also point out that may help model painters is that steel tracks gain shallow rust pretty quickly (a few days not operating in wet autumn conditions and the steel gains a thin yellowish tint of rust) but as soon as you start to drive (a few hours of operation) all the surface rust is polished away giving you a mirror finish of metal on the outer most part of the track. the richer the sand content of the soil, the faster and more polished the track gets (pine forests for example usually have a high degree of sand content)

    • @burre01
      @burre01 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i can also point out that rust doesnt seem to form good at all in below freezing conditions, i guess thats since the moisture content of the air is so low at below freezing.
