A song about the difficulty of letting go my repressed memories
No matter how hard I repress certain experiences, I can't forget them, no matter how hard I try
I'm aware that they made me who I am now, and therefore should embrace them, but the anxiety associated with the trauma manifests at the worst times
The shards of the mirror are those repressed memories, and as more and more come off, the mirror becomes reflection-less as I become to lose myself in the past
