It's written badly in the rules, but the explanation on the size explains the intention: "Let your opponent know which models in a unit are champions, musicians and standard bearers if it’s not already clear from the miniatures." That's why it also matters how many. It is possible (though rare) to have more than one. Effect: Add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of weapons used by champions in this unit. So it's not by the unit, but specifically by any champions the unit has.
This is my understanding too. The battle tactic says use two fight abilities. The second unit being eligible doesn’t matter as it never used a fight ability.
@@aalacho Fight is a Fight ability, the requirements for which are "Pick a friendly unit that is in combat or that charged this turn to use this ability. " They do not make attacks but they are eligible to make that Fight ability
3:02:36, Manifestations do not count as units outside movement and charge phase, determining if something is in combat range (if they have a move > 0) and for the purposes of setting up units (if they have a move > 0). They never count for battle tactics etc, except for the few that check if an opponent's unit is in combat.
@jordananderson3789 in the faq they add a definition for fought which is "used a fight ability", which was mentioned earlier no longer simply rolling an attack dice against a opponent, so they played it correctly.

The last tactic for Adrian doesn’t complete right? Only one unit used a fight ability in the last turn.
