Nice video!. Haste is a great status to have in basically every single one of your units, but i think there are better ways to get it than the time mage. Some equipement grants your PERMANENT HASTE, also samurai once you get Masamune. Though it's true these options only become available late in the game, so if you are in the 1st or 2nd chapter it can be a worthwhile investment to have a dedicated time mage to haste your squad right at the beggining of the battle. Also, things like mana shield and teleport are always usefull, personally, i'm more of an early move+2 enjoyer, but being able to instantly be anywhere on the field (hopefully) is cool, useful, and unique to this class.

It's always going to be a juggle between what you can get from equipment (more power, better buffs) and which abilities to take in your builds. Haste is arguably the best buff, so getting it going on your units somehow should be a priority, any way you can get it. Spot on observation about the limited availability early in the game, so chances are you'll be stuck with a Time Mage anyway! 😂
It really takes Time and Magic to truly master Time Mage. :U Joke aside, while Levitate Movement has seemingly very little uses, there are a few maps where it helps... despite still being outshined by Teleport. Reflect is invaluable as not only is it possible to extend your casting range by double (aoe not included) but basically be used as doublecast (despite FFT not having doublecast) , assuming everyone is in position, although it can be exhausting to set that up accurately. Ex: In some of the FFT speedruns, they take advantage of Reflect Armor/Ring to basically doublecast Demi 2 on the final boss after placing their reflect character in the exact middle of caster and target and casting between target and reflected character causing spell to attack target twice.
