Good for Geoff, he gets so much hate on from other channels and people bashing him in the comment section but you gotta respect his grind. I remember everyone said his store would fail and it wouldn’t last but that store is there to stay.
might be too ambitious though, already planning another shop so soon.
why are people bashing him?
@@metsrus They did say it was not going to be any time soon. But it is the kind of thing you cant just wait until it's the actual time.
He took out a PPP loan during the pandemic while small businesses were failing....he's full of Doo doo. What you see is a bunch of bold face lies. Got check sports card radio if you want to see any kind of truth
@@jasminnevans4477 Because he glorifies the hobby and films himself being overly generous to buyers and sellers for the camera even though he's a cutthroat dealmaker behind closed doors.
This shop is huge but feels a bit cold and too commercial. I still the prefer the smaller cozy hang out neighborhood card shop. Maybe adding some arcade games and some pokemon statues would make it more welcoming? Just personal opinion.
Yeah, it feels a bit like a wall mart, not a place where I would be playing cards with friends
CardsHQ needs a liquor license and they’ll be bigger than Amazon
Alcoholic
Pair that with a "massage" room in the back and Geoff will be on the next Forbes list.
@@HC7-MAa massage room where massive pulls happen
Fortunately there's a liquor store next door 😂
@iBcPirate Indeed there is... they got my money.
what an amazing atmosphere. the way its all set up is incredible
I was thinking the same thing. So much effort went into that shop, super clean and organized.
@HC7-MA where im from we dont have anything like this.. the locals are blessed
I've heard cardhq is always right at comps or even a little less. That's rare for a card shop. The places around me are about 50% above comps 😂. This is my goal in life. To own a sports shop and run trade night etc. Great vid trike
the best part was seeing him geek out over his collection in his office. that feeling is why we're all in this.. obviously his pockets are much deeper he can get those badges! insane!!! never even thought of that.
This shop is a dream. Wow!
I'm glad the boy trike is getting some exposure with Geoffs content empire.
amazing video. love the behind the scenes look and how open Geoff was
As a Sports Card and Pokemon collector this shop is perfect!! After living in Japan for 8 years, the show cases bring back memories. Definitely gonna check this place out someday.
It’s ridiculous how less expensive sports and tcg are in the USA compared to Canada, even with the conversion is cheaper! Crazy
Sport are being opened around the world but the USA is where it's all played or mostly only played at. ....
.
....
Amazing amazing amazing. This is the content that so many people are looking for. A true behind the senses look at what it takes to make it in a field you love. Thank you.
No close up of the cards is crazyyy work
Geoff cops alot of flak but you have to give it to him he has absolutely nailed it with this store (assuming it makes a profit) and he came across alot more down to earth and real in this interview than he comes across in his podcasts
Appreciate the virtual tour Troy! 🙏😇
Great detailed video and I think Geoff and his company has the chance to be the biggest sports shops in the world
Love the video was not expecting this collab tho! 😂
Geoff + Troy > Lebron + Luka
@ WAY BETTER!!!!!
I'm impressed, Geoff really knows his stuff! Can't wait to stop by next year during Thanksgiving.
Jesus Troy, I knew you were tall, but you are freaking giant next to Geoff! Cool vid man!
He looks to be about 6'4" lol
Awesome episode dude. I had a chance to visit this store while i was visiting family for Thanksgiving. It was a pretty great experience and the store has great flow. Picked up some CardsHQ merch since i couldnt find any Machado cards. My only con was it was difficult to get down to the lower level shelves to see the cards. Being 6'4" it was really challenging and the constant squatting got old real quick. Otherwise, a great experience.
I've been to this store. I bought a George Brett rookie....psa 7? I think? And it was exactly the right price. Totally at the comps and better than the lowest price on Ebay. Great store. Super fun.
Great job Troy 😊
They needed concrete posts out front! Especially since the stores front is all windows . Very cool store
We have hobby and card shops where I'm at, but you've got something state of the art there. I looked it up, next time I'm in GA I've gotta stop in!!
I went a few months when i was passing thru ATL on my way to Augusta. You will love it, The selection and prices were great.
I work here in marketing. I love it!
I sell singles and I think I sell fast because I sell at comp price. I take time to average last 10 sales before I set price. It helps! Can’t wait to visit shop
Woahh I didn't see this collab will happen 🤯
Hope for more collaboration soon!
This is definitely the kind of big store me need here in the UK. Most of our card stores seem to overcharged on Pokémon due to the scalper price issue. Absolutely brilliant store you guy have there. Keep up the great work for real collectors.
I thought this was a fantastic overview of the SCI and CardHQ empire. Great questions and convo Troy.

Need this in The Netherlands!
Ja dat klopt
Great video! Very interesting to see behind the scenes
This my kind of video, I could watch content like this for days
both your videos are awesome !!
Thank you!
you know he was low key hoping to get that card for free!
Great tour, Troy!
Legendary. I’m coming soon!
Love seeing behind the scenes views of these shops!
Me too! Glad you enjoyed
What a video! Love both channels
I love their shop and content
Amazing shop. Streaming the breaker arena is ingenious.
Keep up the content my man, been enjoying it!
I been there, it’s nice and prices are very fair.
Card HQ reflect exactly how its owner is very fair.
Thanks for sharing. Impressed with his personal collection.
I really like the vertical display cases for the slabs. Card shows are so boring with a room full of flat display cases, and card shops with their standard shelved cases.
they are nice, but using the bottom few rows is pretty much a no go...who wants to get down on their hands and knees to see what is down there...there has to be some "perfect" option out there
@@gradedcards5516 the correct version of this style of case has a base to lift the lower shelves higher and make more accessible.
@@gradedcards5516 In terms of marketing, the bottom rows are actually very good especially since kids are ya know, small in size. This is a marketing tool used in checkout lanes, next time you go purchase an item youll notice lots of candy or chips (something that is intentionally placed at eye level for children) so they would be purchased as a last minute purchase to make an extra buck or two. Its quite an effective marketing strategy. I wouldnt be surpised if cheaper cards are placed on the bottom for kids to look at and im sure youve noticed throughout the video, lots of the high dollar/popular cards are already placed on top which is eye level for adults.
just went into a card shop and all cards were 5-10x the value on ebay. nice to see Geoff selling at comps.
I never ever had a friend like you
Need a store like that in NYC.
Great vid thanke for uploading a lot
I'm new to collecting. About to hit my first show. Love your videos. Any advice?
Great video. Looking forward to making it to Cards HQ one day!
Great review
Was in the shop today! 15min from my house is becoming dangerous for my wallet hahha!
$15 mil a year is $45,000 per DAY, 7 days a week.
When you are unable to refill near empty display cases on a daily basis,
clearly the sales will not be coming from the retail store,
and the majority of their business, likely 85+% is from online sales.
Highly likely walk in business is unable to even profit enough to pay the rent.
The handful of sales/cashiers employees indicate the low level of actual walk in business.
15 mill a year....yeah, no way. Sales from walk-ins is very minimal like you said. I'd say TH-cam revenue, breaking and online sales are the money makers.
@@HC7-MA don't forgett the PPP loans/free money that likely paid for a large part of this store.
what an amazing card shop , beautiful.
Congrats on the magnificent shop Geoff. Go Gators🐊🐊
Great video Troy! Love the behind the scenes that you normally wouldn’t see. Crazy how it all works and comes together.
What an impressive store!
Best collab 🔥🤝👍
They actually do price fairly, can confirm.
I love this size of this shop and everything they offer but they need to do a better job keeping the shelves full. The Cardfather would never have bullet holes like that
28:32 Wait, the fck was that on the ladder, a Pterodactyl? A bat?
The insurance on this place must be wild
How are the prices?
Planning a trip from Tennessee just to go here
Crazy more a Media company than a Brick and Mortor store! 🎬📽🎥🎞😮
This guy is like the Dave Ramsey of card shops and collecting lol
Unfortunately comic and cards shop have largely been priced out of NYC. They had to overprice their products to cover overhead costs, and that just didn't work in the long run. A couple of very small sq footage stores left, and they make most of their sales from breaking, some collection buying, but not actual walk-in sales.
might want to do a search on google and discover how many there are.
dave adams just opened a big one in NYC
Are u going to be at collect a con Atlanta this weekend
I won’t unfortunately
@@TRIKESportsCardswill you be at chantilly in april??
@@TRIKESportsCardsi love your vids and wild love to meet you!
That’s amazing bro. That’s amazing. What a good father you are. Keep up the good work, my friend. Keep up the good work. You want a good team you got
amazing video
Appreciate it!
Put me on the coach I'll be tired from all that walking. 😂
The prices on some of that Pokemon product is just ridiculous. Just because 90% of vendors/sellers are pricing Prismatic nearly double, doesn't mean card shop owners have to do the same thing. The reason there are so many ETBs left is because no one wants to pay more than double. Like cmon, get a grip
Looks like they only do Pokémon and sealed, but its quite the store.
love the vids
Thank you!
Nice!!
Hey this dosnt relate to the video, but how do you know where all of the conventions you go to are? If anybody knows, please reply
Toploaders $2.99? Im moving
The smartest thing a shop can do is make their money on the front end, and sell at comps.
Always saported geoff from the start, especially when i saw all the hate he was getting from a lot of the community he TRUELY exposed the true nature of a lot of these so-called good guys!!👍🏼😎💯✔️⚖️(IMO)
Awesome
I would only be comfortable with a store like this with three ex-navy seals protecting the store in Chicago.
Awesome video as per usual, but you absolutely need to consider not running the Whatnot sponsorship given the recent events with BYB
I get it but that’s not Troy’s fault and we can’t expect Troy to have to suffer for something he didn’t do. I’m sure that whatnot sponsor is a big one for him
thats with them i personally think not troy
Dude don’t be stupid. You wouldn’t boycott TH-cam just because someone did something bad. Use your brain
Where can you watch the breaker arena live at
The comp check station is really good and he is a visionary. All the hate against this guy, he has really helped propel the hobby. If you dont like him, dont watch his content.
What does TCG mean?
he says it multiple times,, Trading Card Games.. TCG
Where is this?
Geez, How tall is Geoff? 5’2 ish?
This makes me want to go to Chilis
its funny how flippin camera trained geoff is 🤣 Geoff does get so much unnecessary hate
Where is it?
Look it up
"Wax"... "Blaster Boxes"... tell me you don't know about pokemon without telling me and are just in it for the money. Sports card shops like this jumping in the market and stealing allocations from long time card shops is part of the problem with why no one can get any product and there's nothing on the shelves for collectors or players.
Solid video. It’s wild all the hate Geoff gets. I think he does a lot of good for the hobby
Damn they're charging $115 per prismatic etb
🔥
Ppl are mad at small guys selling prismatic etbs for anything over retail yet honcho over here getting them for $30 slanging them for $131 hahah good luck out there
non msrp prismatics ftw!
The to cool cards 😂
When it comes to insurance fraud, I'm buying.
Looks like the Steve jobs of pokemon. Kinda creeps me out in the long term. I worry pokemon will all get consolidated into big box card stores and totally drive out small stores.
