FYI, you must bring the STNK every time you go out. It is important bcz the police always ask you about ur STNK after they ask you about your drive license card but you put it in your wallet or something like that. And the manual book of your vehicle (BPKB) just keep it save in your home. It most important, you dont even bring it out from your room.
Your visit to Indonesia will be complete if you have visited Raja Ampat, the transportation is expensive but if you are with a group of about 10-14 people, it will be cheap. There are direct flights from Surabaya to Sorong, from Sorong to Raja Ampat by boat, in Raja Ampat there are 4 very beautiful locations, like a slice of heaven on earth.
as a molluccan resident, u can just flyn to ambon and using rented car to the Ora Beach, and well u just use public fery to the Raja Ampat. from my place to Raja Ampat it only cost like 80K-120K and overnight in the sea. so yeah, if u r on thight budget, it definitely works.
You can buy a mobike in Indonesia without a local as long as you have KITAS. If you really have kitas, you should have gotten NPWP, which is your tax number which gives you the ability to purchase a car or bike without a local.
it's easier for you to buy used motorcycle, because the sellers don't give a shit whether you're Indonesian / foreigner and the price also could be cheaper, usually a used motorcycle after 1 year the price will drop up to 25% even with pretty good condition
Bali is nice, but there are troublemakers. I was peacefully shopping in a supermarket when 4 security "thugs" attacked me simply b/c I pulled down my mask to eat free fruit samples. I think it was partly a hate crime against foreigners b/c it made no sense. Taken to hospital. True story. Stay safe. th-cam.com/video/xHUewYaGuh0/w-d-xo.html
9:40 I bought my bike with a KITAS with a local license(you could get your international license converted or apply for a new one), you might be wrong about the law or local dealership is naive. I was a student during that time.
As far as I know foreign citizens who stay in Indonesia holding KITAS ( temporary stay permit ) or KITAP ( long term stay permit ) are allowed to buy and have vehicle ( motorcycle or car ) with condition you buy CASH. It means you may register your vehicle on your name as your own. That's what I know so far
ooo come on man... most of dealers they just say cannot be ur name or tax problem... i am a foreigner who live in indonesia and my motorbike is my name not my wife's name and in the motor registration has been written KITAP HOLDER...... they got u bro
Alex, can we see a video of you talking about how you get your Indonesian visa? would love to see your perspective on what kind of visa do you have, how you apply and renew it, and is it hard for you. Cheers!
Brother thanks for the video. A little feedback, the video is titled “how to buy bike in Bali” and the first 7 and a half mins is all about a villa and a tour. Sweet to do a tour for like 30-60 secs but 7 mins is kinda whack.
You should go road trip to java using that bike... Go to east java first there are tumpak sewu waterfall then go to malang spend time a day or two to see rainbow villaage or another tourist attraction there. Then go to Mount bromo, ijen, the gi to central java and jogja to see Borobudur or prambanan temples
Alex, nice work. As an expat living here for more than 10 years, it's nice to see some reasonably balanced stories. Have a run out to Kebon Vintage cars..... It will blow your mind.
Indonesia's car right now is very much, since there are tax subsidies in April. Although pretty sure you won't need one especially in busy Bali. Where going everywhere is much better on a bike rather than a car

In Bali you wait in 3 weeks, that's fast !!!! Great to go back to Bali, everything is fast there. Greetings and have fun with your new bike
one little tips for take care this bikes, change oil every 2000 km just a cheap oil its fine, yamaha its know for "vampire of oil", so the oil will gone even without you know it, so better just change it regularly every 2000 km
In Indonesia foreigner are prohibited to having any assets like Home, land, or vehicle. If someone want to buy any asset they have to register it with local.
This is actually a good alternative for foreigner if they are stayong mote than 6 month, cause renting motorcycles is just too much sometimes, and thank you Alex and alex gf (sorry I forgot her name again), it was great information. Also this could also makes foreigner get more friendly and get a pal is even better so they can purchase a motorbike, if you do have a partner u can trust like alex though this would even better. Have fun in Indonesia Alex and we are waiting for ur new content, also considering its Ramadhan there will be more food specific for this ocassion so do try some or even better try fasting, a day is fine 😂😂😂
Good choice of buying that bike, really suits foreigners. Don't forget to service it regularly every 2000 kilometers. Salam NMAX Community from Jawa Tengah.
I'm actually surprised that you bought the Yamaha Nmax instead of the Xmax Xmax is just the bigger brother of Nmax equipped with ABS and bigger luggage space
Great videos , but i think the easiest way to get motorbike for foreigner is to buy used one. If you are lucky you can find one with less than 1 year old, practically brand new
At the end of this month, there will be electronic tickets for traffic violations, the fine is very expensive. Don't break the traffic lights. Don't drive at high speed, don't get too close to trucks and boxcars, if you overtake trucks and boxcars, do it fast. Be careful on the road, because accidents happen because we or others are careless.
Yes Yamaha NMax verry cool😎super cool. Buat boncengan Sama cewe cantik apalagi😂😂🤣🤣😅its a wonderfull Day, A hole Day..Tapi harus selalu perhatikan service rutinnya bro..Terutama VanBelt nya.. dan elektriknya..Jika mati mesin elektriknya Bikin puyeng, karena ga ada Kick Stater..good luck bro..✌️
I love the NMax great bike what I always get always wanted to buy one for there I have heaps of friends can do it with. Also, can you do a video on a traditional Balinese place to stay in , all bamboo built usually up around Ubud, the bathrooms are great , I call them out door orgy bathrooms they normally have walls no roof and gardens in them sometimes water features. I'd much prefer that type of place to stay in rather than a western villa. Even nice homestays for say $100 per month are better usually just a room but your normally with a Balinese family it's great.
Hi, nice bike. I am also living in Indonesia in an Island call Batam. Not sure how bali rules are but I was able to purchase a bike under my name. I also have a KITAS. Love your videos and hope to travel soon to Bali again.
