Rather than just hanging out with him for being a cool kid, he legit sees Bakugou as his friend and would do anything to save him. Bakugou is lucky to have someone like this for a friend. Imagine if he had a bunch of lackeys around; he would have become an even more entitled bully, or worse, a villain.
