Frankly, I don't have these kind of memories (if it's point-&-click adventures you were talking about). But I'm fond of this genre which is hard to find in the modern game market. So I'm catching up on some old classic titles :)
No there's no master volume AFAIK, my apologies. I meant the Windows volume (Speaker/Master) and possibly your physical speaker volume if your speakers are a separate component to your PC.
Oh man, I had a ton of trouble with that also. You really have to turn those volumes down. Luckily I still have the settings in ScummVM for the game so here are the volumes I used: Music: 192 SFX: 192 Speech: 40 That's right, all the way down to 40. Good luck!
Yeah, just figured out about SPEECH option a couple minutes ago (20 is fine with me). Strange thing I didn't notice its influence on the music in the first place. By "master/speaker volume" you mean the Windows system volume? Because I couldn't find one in ScummVM options.
You just have to crack down the speech some more and crank up the master/speaker volume to get the music up high. It's not ideal but it's the best that can be done.
How did you make the music so loud? Using latest ScummVM version and your ROMs, I can barely hear the music. Adjusting SFX or SPEECH tabs doesn't help: music volume changes along with other sound effects.
My bad, it must have gotten deleted on my Mega account when I did a clean-up a few months ago. I've re-uploaded it now and the link in the description has been updated.
Not a problem, it's great to speak to people with interests in these games of old. They all bring back fond memories of simpler times. :)
The cow handwaving is the best part. Always was, always is.

MT-32 is best sound. No joke.
True, but a simple SB16 is much more affordable and straight forward! :P
Now it's much better though, the way I hear, still not loud enough.
Anyway, thank you very much!
Rain increased with westernly wind from the 😊 thick arrow deployment wating to deploy 😭😂
Got it! Thanks again!

It makes me wonder what kind of sound synth was used in the Remastered version

MT-32 actually supported speech and PCM samples?
NO the voices are played from other sound card.
The Mt-32 can only play samples it saved in its database.
Actually, you can upload custom instruments onto it
Schule04 Instruments yes but not speech.
unless the instruments are speech
Nino Joel you can synth a pcm sampled speech on it but not a custom speech
