  • I previously presented two different methods of repairing a through-the-wall fin that had popped out of its slot (see links to the TH-cam videos below). In this video, I'll show you a third method that you might try. I call this the "Turkey Baster" method, because we're going to squirt epoxy into the back end of the rocket using a syringe.
Is this technique any better than the other two? Probably not better... just different. I present it because I want to give you different options, so that you can pick the repair method that is most comfortable for your skills and the tools/materials that you have to work with.

How’s about a video when the TTW fin breaks off and leaves the entire fin tab broken off inside the BT? GREAT TIPS HERE!

Great video series! Before applying the wood filler or spot glazing putty, it is not necessary to re-apply a fin fillet since the old fillet is cracked? Just wondering.

You can if you want to. Don't be afraid to experiment. You're not wasting money, you're gaining knowledge and experience.

@@apogeerockets Thanks!... You're saying about not wasting money... Very appropriate to both model and real rockets...Look how many rockets Elon Musk's SpaceX blew up to gain the knowledge and experience to do manned flights and eventually go to the Moon and Mars... I twist that saying for marketing and sales people...if you're not getting at least a few refund requests, your marketing department isn't pushing hard enough. ;) but I digress...Thanks again!
