Heard Pahang variety is a good one. Nestle Musang King ice cream is not bad. Should try it. I'm the odd one in family where I only eat one durian I wanna say pod (not too crazy about it, but don't mind eating it. I prefer something crunchy like carrots or apple 😅😂).

hello durian lovers, I'm from Indonesia here 😍😍😍
FYI there are more than 200 species of durians in Malaysia… among all Black Thorn and Musang King are the Top quality durians. They are different in terms of the taste and textures, hence the price varies!
XO is bitter, 101 sweet… when you try different varieties, always start with the lighter taste first and eat top grade durian like Musang King last!
God, I need to take a trip to Malaysia for this.
usually i insist 'beginners' D24 as it is sweet and pretty fleshy. this is to introduce and develope the flavour pallete to the 'cheap cuts'. after that would be the D101 and D111, followed by Tekka (D160) and Musang King (D197) and lastly Blackthorn. These are good and readily available durians to note for flavour profiles and can be the basic referance when eating other new species (123 types) you have yet to sample. :)

@@kirana1002 sitting down and having only one type of durian is okay however when you arrange durians for a sit down buffet with friends and family, its nice to plan the climactic peak moments and a finish to make it all worth it. the kids will usually be full way before the final fruit.

I think the durian is not really pure musang king! The seed are way too big for MK, should be thin & small...should check carefully, a lot of hybrid musang king, grade.

To get rid off smell.....wash hand under running water over the back of the prickly spikes of the durians. Smell will neutralize in seconds in comparison to washing smeel off wth soap.

@@KakakKorea you can get them tepi jalan. Usually a lorry that sells them. Live in PJ. At SS 5 KJ near the small Giant had them earlier this week 🤔. The traffic is abit horrendous there. Also, if you visit there, try buy kuih from Daud Kuih (Green van directly in front of Giant). His kuih is delish 👍🏼. Not sponsored but just promoting local vendor lol.😅😂

The correct way is to hold the durian husk straight, let the water wash the outer shell (the prickly part) and you wash your fingers below the shell not in the shell. You drink from in the shell to cool down the heat.

Finally your durian video is here, i also use cleaver to open the durian but with a wet rags to hold it, an easier way to open durian is to use the flat surface of the cleaver to smack the surface around the bottom durian, this is to loosen the skin to make it easier to open and the thorn wont be that sharp anymore, then finally use the edge of the cleaver at the bottom center of the durian, stab it and twist, practice makes perfect

you should try durian with sticky rice. with a bit of warm coconut milk with pinch of salt in the coconut milk and bit of sugar. my style of eating durian. idk. its just, next lvl beb. next lvl.

Kakak! That's then wrong and dangerous way to open your durian!
1. Cut the stem - you did correct. Wear thick clothes not plastic gloves or use a rag.
2. DO NOT CHOP the durian because one slip you get hurt.
3. Use the edge of the blade and pierce it into the middle of the "star" of the fruit.
4. Then pry with the knife OUTWARDS away from your body to open the husk a little. Never pry durian with the knife inwards towards you.
5. For reference, refer to Jetlag Warriors durian trip to Raub. We took them there last year for filming (th-cam.com/video/xPguG1HnR5Q/w-d-xo.html).

I am so happy you like durians. And looks like you live it. Only remember this. Your glove is dirty after you touched the outside of the durian. And then you pick up the inner seeds with the same glove. Then, you eat with the glove on. You should take out the glove when you hold the seeds.
I prefer durian kampung. I like the bitter sweet taste and thin layer it has.

@@KakakKorea My family lovessss durians. since i was little i saw my parents opened durians using a spoon and cloth, it was fast and easy!
This is what u need to do.
1stly, spread some newspaper on the floor ( prevent the floor from getting dirty and also prevent the durian from moving when opening it).
2ndly, take a cloth , fold if possible (to make it thicker) and place it on the durian (depend u r left handed or right handed. I am right handed so i use my left hand to hold the cloth).
3rdly, use a spoon(normal METAL spoon, normal size, don't use tea spoon cuz too small), aim at the bottom of the durian and push the spoon into the durian. (before u push it into the durian, look at the bottom of the durian 1st, there is this very very very light color "lines'. aim at the line, and push the spoon hard into the durian.)
Remember while trying to open it, use ur left hand to hold on to the the cloth and so the durian will not move. That is how we open a durian, metal spoon, cloth and aim at the line of the durian, that's it.

Just to tell you why she is right to say it Subang. In 1970s, the Sungei Way New Village and adjoining housing areas, the adjoining recent housing areas near Subang Airport and Taman Subang Jaya were combined as a new potential township.
