  • Today is a black day for me! After realizing that there is nothing that i can do to fix my motorbike, I'm going to have to cope whit it and keep on going! I'm making my way to a town called Broome, where the nearest motorbike shop is! In Broome the quest continues to find a solution to my now falling a part gearbox!
    One Bike! One Adventure! Adventure Fever!

    It mite just be the selector in the gearbox 🤔 wait for the Mechanic's opinion. Anyway great channel mate enjoying it 👍 all the best !!

    You're doing a great job bringing the outback to us armchair riders. I sincerely hope you overcome this problem but unfortunately being so remote can have it's drawbacks. Wait until the mechanic returns to the workshop to get the best advice. He'll need to pull it apart to see exactly what the problem might be. In the meantime enjoy the wonderful location and many thanks for sharing your journey. There must be something in the Dutch blood - between you and Noraly you're spoiling us.

    Shame about the bike, it happens.
    Found out the hard way, but good things will happen.
    You’ll meet new people now that you probably never would have met. A solution will come!!
    Take care

    For that sort of money, you may as well buy another bike... something like a DRZ 400.

    Tough times, hope it all works out. If the bike has been dropped on the gear lever side it may have bent something. Of course if the gear itself is broken it could wreck the gearbox. Yikes! If the bike has had regular oil changes I doubt the engine itself would need any work at 80 000 ks.

      Oil changes are done every 5000 kms or less... Eventhough the manual says do it every 10.000kms. After doing some research, it turns out the 2009 model tenere wich i have has got a known gearbox faillure.... Some bikes of this model reported to stuff up after as little as 35.000kms.

      @@Adventure_Fever Thank you for responding. You have good mechanical understanding, the extra oil changes will certainly protect the engine. I guess the only good thing is that the bike was stiil rideable! I look forward to more of your adventure.

    You sure beat the shit out of that bike. Have you heard about the Australian Postie bike. You might need that one to finish your trip. How long are you in Australia for. My son and daughter in law are going to the NL, leaving Oct 31.

      Il be here for a fair bit longer! A postie bike wouldnt cope whit the stuff i put my bike through..... The gear i carry etc! Thanks for watching mate!

    When and where did you start this trip. What is the green P on your number plate. How is the repair going.

      @Adventure_Fever  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The green P's Mean provisional! I will explain that in a later video! Good to point that out. This trip started in Brisbane for me. unfortunatley i only started making video's ever since Darwin / Berry springs!

    Do you have a video on the cost of the whole trip? And what do you do for income?
