My wife kept telling me to clean the tall grasses on the side of our house along the road and start a small garden and grow our own food and vegetables since we obtained weeks ago free seeds from Dept of Agriculture. I stumbled upon Dr Elaines soil food web as i searched for infos about gardening...its not ai....but The Holy Spirit that guided me. Thank you very much Dr Elaine and the entire global team of soil food web educators. Cris Cabrera Jr Lipa Batangas Philippines
Thank you from Southern Utah! New Worm farmer here, applying Biodiversity to bring life INTO this Lil Rural Plot ... facing erosion, PSI compaction, weeds (ground varieties & milk thistles 10 feet tall); poor water "set up" in relation to Pine Trees (4 @ 250-300 feet high) vs pasture area. Thank you for sharing ALL this VALUABLE INFORMATION ❤❤❤❤
Kansas, North East. I've been composting, but not well. Now that I have quail and a lot of quail straw/poo, I hope to improve my soil the correct way. I've tried growing two types of mushrooms (oyster indoors and winecap outdoors, using cornleaves/stalks) and still have mycyleum in the soil. I just went out today and cut down a tubful of nettles.
See also the phenomenal book by James Rebanks - “English Pastoral”... it offers a personal story, from a farming family, of the take-over of “modern” commercialized farming and how this led to the disappearance of many insects and birds in the countryside..
I like what Mr. Lu is saying. Farming is healthy for body and mind and leads to better things.

Great and very productive session! This has really strengthened my training skills and knowledge on permaculture and Agroecology principles!
