Lafcadio Hearn was an Irish Greek writer. Famous for translating ancient Japanese and introducing Japanese culture to the West. Most famous for his ghost stories based on ancient Japanese.

I stayed in Matsue in 2019 and absolutely loved it. They had some super good offers for foreign tourists, with a dirt cheap local bus/rail/coupon pass, lowered entrance fees all across the city, and super nice english-speaking tour guides at the castle. Plus there's lots to see in the vicinity like Yuushien garden, Izumo taisha or the Adachi art museum. Highly recommended if you want to see a different side of Japan than just doing the Tokyo-Osaka-Hiroshima-Kyoto loop.

I am a total fan of Walking Tours - and these are always my favorite. This is most definitely a place I would love to visit. My best to you both.

Wonderful walking tour of the city and the castle was so beautiful! If there are any former residents still hanging around, I can almost picture them peering out of the upper stories of the castle and wondering about how the view has changed since their time. 🎎

Shinichi, Covid is a monster. I'm 64 and I wasn't super sick while I had it, after 5 vaccinations, but it messed with my thyroid which messed with my heart and even my back hurts now. It really did a number on me. They're all problems that can be fixed though so I'm grateful for that.
I hope you feel completely well very soon and thank you for pushing through so we can travel with you and Satoshi. Love and thanks to you both! 💜

I agree that walking from your hotel to your main point of interest is the way to go, because of all the unexpected finds along the way. While it is exhausting, whenever I have visited Japan, whether with my husband or with my daughter, we walk and walk so much. Thank you for your informative walking video. It’s inspired me to video more, more often.

    Wonderful as always!
    And now hungry as always!
    To bring your health back:
-Drink lots of moso soup everyday, some chicken soup too
-Fresh ground Shoga with honey (tea) when you wake up and just before going to bed
-Eat lots of umeboshi, onigiri, in teas, sides with meals and on their own
-Seafood soups with lots of dark green vegetables
-A little of your favorite beef and pork dishes with lots and lots of garlic & ginger
-lots & lots of water (plain & teas)
    -pickled vegitables
Look at what farmers and fisherman eat...
Lots of deep breathing and movement. Taichi is very good
Look beyond the fog. Get your mind out of the present. Do complete streaching exercises every morning and night. Head to toes. Every joint.
    Always breath slowly.
No expectations on when you'll get better, just make each day as best you can for that day.
🙏 be one with the wind, earth and sea... Breath...
    😊 🙏 💞💞💞💞💞

Some of the bridges are so low that the passengers need to duck. The covers collapse so it can get under. Close to the samurai residence is a soba restaurant that was a samurai house

When you eat a whole fish like that, do you eat the bones too? Or do you have to pick them out?

    • @Shinichisworld
      @Shinichisworld  ปีที่แล้ว

The small ones like this one you jaunt eat it all. The bones are so soft and tiny you hardly notice it. They do take out the larger bones before cooking
