If so then yeah he should be releasing a 5k and a 9k (that does over 12k) eventually I actually own the Wolfram AW-9000.1D, AW-5000.1 & AW-175.4 all absolutely amazing amplifiers for their price! Just wish I'd have snagged up a handful of Wolfram's W-7500.1 when they were like $799ea solid korean overbuilt amps that do way wayyyy over rated power! I bought this amp based on this review. I put it in my daughter's 2014 Scion tC with four 6 and 1/2-in hexacones and two kicker 12s. This amp has not disappointed in any way in fact it has exceeded expectations in every way, particularly sound quality. I cannot tell you how many comments I get on the clarity and quality of the music. Down for sound knocked it out of The park with this one. I'm going to order two more to put in my Tahoe
I just got mine in about an hour ago…… and I gotta say this amp is gonna hurt some feelings. Performance VS Price is through the roof. And the sub channel wired at 2 ohms was a tad less output than the nine.1 was at 2 ohms , but a whole heap cleaner and tighter. Highly impressed with it. No plans to remove it , only plans to get that sub channel down to 1 ohm in the near future. Hats off D4S , it’s not every day that a class D amp impresses me as far as sound Q goes. System is a kenwood bt375u deck , older pioneer D series components and coaxials , and a pair of old school eclipse aluminum SVC4 12’s
Bought 1 of these jp95s, and it sounds great, and very loud 140db+ out of the trunk! Amp is powering a component set up front, a component set in the rear, and 2-12s in a ported enclosure. All in one package, and the voltage gauge was dead on accurate vs a dmm.
@@rhurtadorh32- Vehicle has a stock 120 amp alternator, and if fully cranked up, (+ Bass knob maxed, with clip light flickering), with the ac on, and the headlights on, it will dim the headlights, when the voltage dips into the high 11s! I have one. Don't really know anything about this stuff other than I like my music to slam. Had my bro build me a setup for a bus. He chose this unit to drive some NVX 15s and some D4S Little guys behind an older pioneer head. Love it. Love the remote. Able to really enjoy the tunes despite the big space
Loved the look of I guess it would have been 2nd gen US Amps. I had a USA-100 and USA-150 in that style and the old boxy style VLX-200. I do miss the old school amps like Autotek Mean Machine, etc. Wish I still had my old amps.. Xtant, PPI, US Amps, gen 1 125 HCCA.

I know this video is old but if you're watching this and thinking about getting one, do it. I have 2 of the newer ones that have the input clip lights also that were added. And it sounds unbelievable . I did get the dual 2 ohm 12s so both 12s are seeing about 1200 w each.
Man, this is funny because I was looking on TH-cam for a review of this amp LAST NIGHT after seeing it on the Down4Sound website. Found zero. Today, here it is. Strange how that worked out. Haha… That said, due to the great review, I’m ready to cop one come payday this week. Very much appreciated!
@@THELIFEOFPRICE The amp arrived in the Philly area a few days ago... Very beautiful and great sounding amp right out the box! Need some time to fine tune it to get its full potential but I'm loving what I'm hearing so far. The JP95 replaced an Xtant X1001 and JL Audio JX 400/4D so I'm basically getting the same power - or maybe even more - in 1 chassis and I love that idea! Oh, and that bass knob is craaaaaaaaazy cool!! Thanks for putting out great product!
Mine came in this past Saturday. It'll be on two sets of Skar SPX-65C components and either four 6.5 Massive Audio Hippos or two JL Audio 12TW3-D4 in my '72 C10. I hope that truck doesn't rattle apart. Probably will. (Said like Derek of @ViceGripGarage).
I have the same components and thinking of getting the tw3s with this amp on my 71 c10 haha, did you end up hooking this up? what subs did you go with and are you liking the amp?😅
I had an old school US Amps amplifier at a flea market it was red and close to 3 foot long and hooked it up to 4 Crossfire 15s and it pounded but ended up over powering them and blew them
Not a bad amp at all, for the price you really can't beat it right now. 😉 Thanks for sharing, excellent video as always. Wonder if a half ohm warranty is available on this as well?
Down4Sound is a great company focusing not on just cool looking amplifiers because who cares what it looks like, it's what it sounds like. And I could tell even with TH-cam (and having a decent home stereo system) this again is a very good sounding amplifier, with plenty of power. I bet 20 years from now this amp will still be working and sounding good! That's what you get for the price difference in car audio amplifiers. An amplifier that will outlast your car. lol. And sounds great. And sounding great is what it is all about!
Great vid, as always! I decided to go with this amp for a friends install that I'm doing this coming week. The decision was partly due to seeing this. I would have liked to see the efficiency but not a big deal. I'm hoping we can get by with his stock charging system, but I have doubts. Keep up the good work!
Dang!! Complete tease when you peaked the underside early in the vid… then I had the same reaction as you when it cleared 1300 watts. Great vid. Beautiful amp. Keep the vids comin’ D. We love it..
Those old school Linear Power amps ...advertised there amps as ear candy....they had quite a few colors available back in the day...nice touch for colors on the JP amps
These are high quality for their respective price range. I doubt JP designed the circuit, but from the look of the bass knob I’ve seen this manufacturer before and these are very solid amps. JP is releasing these at great prices these are same manufacturer as EMF audio amps for a lot cheaper. I would even use them in an SQ build if he let out a class A/B 6 channel or maybe a 4 channel and I would run two.
@@CL-yp1bs my daily has 2 Kenwood Excelon amps. XR-4S on the doors and XR-1S on the sub. My summer car has Focal door speakers, Digital Designs sub and 2 Crossfire amps.
@@wal their customer service is on point. ive bought a few subs from there(local in vegas so i go down there myself) and they were cool as shit. plus the dum dum's are a great selling point, i even sent my boss down there so he could buy some stuff for his slingshot and one of them ended up walking him down the warehouse isles test fitting speakers into the little speaker pods on the side til they got something that would work. 12/10 will shop again. got to get me some free dum dumbs somewhere. plus they give any color decals and lanyards you want with every purchase. lol
it is not uncommon for the Chinese to copy successful American designs..... it is what they do,....it is what they have always done.... and may be our(U.S.) undoing.
Just ordered one after watching this, hoping the sub channel will be enough to push my 12w7 decently. Love your dyno reviews, really helps weed out the BS brands.
@@Alexlivingloud It’s working great, sounds crystal clear and drives my Infinity Kappa 6x8s and 12w7 nicely. Was having a problem with clipping at lower gain levels but that was solved with replacing the 15 year old alternator on my truck.
@@twonoles I’m running a jl audio RD900/5 and looking to upgrade. I was looking into this amp or the incriminatory audio 5 channel. Not looking to run 2 amps and was looking for something that will put out more than 800 to the sun channel.
It’s almost like an actual car audio guy is involved in the design or something. 😝 I would recommend this amp to anyone needing the power, control and ease of a single amp install. Thanks Big D! You big dummy! 🤪🤪
Good job big d your officaly the AMP DINOMASTER...AUDIO SWARD ..LEFT SHOULDER...RIGHT SHOULDER..AND A BIG PURE BRONZE BASS KNONB CHAIN AROUND YOUR NECK!and from bassheads around the world we solute you!
So I can't remember exactly which model I had, but I had a US Amps that was red anodized with a plexiglass bottom. I believe it was a 125x4 and it was 1/4 ohm stable. That amp ran my four Kicker Solobaric DVC 10s in my Integra. I sold it and got a 250x4 (1000w max) Soundstream Reference and it was a great amp as well, but nowhere near as good as the US Amps amp. Now I have an Orion HCCA 3k SPLX amp running four Sundown SA12-D2s in my Accord.
Damn Derek..I just got it and forgot to use your affiliate link.i think that last track is actually bass mechanic-bass check up...I know sundown audio uses it to test their woofers...
Hey. I bought this amp and it seems great. I’m running 2 subs at 2 ohms (rated 600w each). 6 highs, 4 paired together at 2 ohms, and the leftover pair running at 4 ohm. This is a ski boat install and I used a DD1+, subs set at 10db overlap and the highs set at 5db overlap. Best sq system I’ve had - boat, car, or truck, etc. But I don’t think I’m getting anywhere near the same output you are. My speakers should have popped by now. I have a Pioneer HU. 57 for the lows and 61 for the highs. But even at 61 we can only hear our system at maybe half a mile away. Have I done something wrong? I’d thought we’d be able to hear it from coast to coast 😉
Hi you should run bass at 5db overlap and mids around 3 to 5 db overlap. Trust me you clipping at 10 db especially with bass boosted songs. Also set your gains at head unit at 57 volume that when clipping starts . Then set your gains from volume 57.
I have owned D’Amorees 5 channel amp, JL Audios 5 channel amp, Hertz’ 5 channel amp, and JBLs 5 channel amp. JBL was actually the best from the 5 considering the quality it put out and the power to the sub. The one thing I wanted more out of the bunch was just A LITTLE more power from the subwoofer channel. And this has that extra kick I’m looking for...... I’m kinda scared to buy it, sounds too good to be true!
@Fake Name generally speaking, more components means more sophisticated power supply management and filtering. On the output side it means less distortion and less noise. Just look at a gut shot of any jl audio amp and compare it to this amp.
The gold one is an A/B surfboard amp. The green one is 6300 watts. But I forget what the purple one is… None of them will be available until spring 22 though.
Perfect amplifier for a single amplifier setup 👌 I bet it sounds incredible in a car with some good mids/highs and a good 1200 to 1500 watt rms subwoofer

One amp to rule them all "you shall pass"!!!love the OG look
This is amazing ive been contemplating going with this 5 channel over others. This helps out a lot. Thank you
Awesome, Awesome. JP has done it right! can't wait to see what else is coming! The little touches, amazing 👏🏽
Yeah boi
Got this amp and absolutely love it! Thanks for the extras!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for sharing, excellent video as always. Wonder if a half ohm warranty is available on this as well?
It's not designed for 1/2 ohm, but I'll ask if it's stable
This is awesome. Been following D4S for YEARS. Can't wait for the day I can build with there tech..
And sounding great is what it is all about!
that's an very cool Amp and the colors available is old school candy...wow
That Kicker Quad box is straight insanity!! If only I could fit it in my Camaro!! That amp bump doe!
Great vid, as always! I decided to go with this amp for a friends install that I'm doing this coming week. The decision was partly due to seeing this. I would have liked to see the efficiency but not a big deal. I'm hoping we can get by with his stock charging system, but I have doubts. Keep up the good work!
Im running this with stock everything. Battery and alt
Powering 4 speakers and dual 12s
@@TerenceGrier do you have dimming lights? I was thinking on adding a agm battery. Will be putting 1 15 american bass rated at 1,200 watts rms.
@@rhurtadorh32 no sir
No dimming lights
Love it. I always liked the simplicity a 5ch amp. Yess considering upgrade.
Beautiful amp and sweet numbers. Nice work JP and great video Big D
Dang!! Complete tease when you peaked the underside early in the vid… then I had the same reaction as you when it cleared 1300 watts. Great vid. Beautiful amp. Keep the vids comin’ D. We love it..
The only amp you will ever need !
I hope JP keeps the price at this intro for at least a month to give the common folk like me a chance to pick it up lol
I thought about audio control 5 channel, lots going on with that amp. This amo on the other hand, simple and dope. Im getting one 😁👍
Cant ask for much better than that over 20 percent power sounded great thru my speakers!
So you'd run an amp they don't make. Cool, thanks for the info.
@@CarAudioObsessions I dont run them. Hey buddy let us know what amps you are running?
@@CL-yp1bs my daily has 2 Kenwood Excelon amps. XR-4S on the doors and XR-1S on the sub. My summer car has Focal door speakers, Digital Designs sub and 2 Crossfire amps.
@@CL-yp1bs bahahahhaahhah . the original purple urban audio
What a great amplifier for a complete stereo on everyday use.. Great breakdown on the video.. D4S is 👍👍. Love the old US Amps looks vibe
It’s got the looks and the performance 👌
@@andrewstoner4355 thank you!
From Florida so love the US Amp look. Had mine on 3 JL w6 in 1998
Just ordered one after watching this, hoping the sub channel will be enough to push my 12w7 decently. Love your dyno reviews, really helps weed out the BS brands.
How are you liking the amp?
@@Alexlivingloud It’s working great, sounds crystal clear and drives my Infinity Kappa 6x8s and 12w7 nicely. Was having a problem with clipping at lower gain levels but that was solved with replacing the 15 year old alternator on my truck.
@@twonoles I’m running a jl audio RD900/5 and looking to upgrade. I was looking into this amp or the incriminatory audio 5 channel. Not looking to run 2 amps and was looking for something that will put out more than 800 to the sun channel.
I love that gold color one
That's impressive to see especially since most people won't run the 4 channel sides any lower than 4 ohms
Gonna grab this for my golf cart.
It has a cool, old school Orion look to me. Good looking & performing amp for the price point.
It’s almost like an actual car audio guy is involved in the design or something. 😝
I would recommend this amp to anyone needing the power, control and ease of a single amp install.
Thanks Big D! You big dummy! 🤪🤪
Love the red! Love the design!
The 8/84 combo is the smart choice but this one is so pretty
Admit, I haven't yet watched the 8/84 vids, but would be very interested in the pros vs cons of them together, vs the 95 alone. TIA
Definitely on the same fence right now ha
I gotta stop watching your videos. Here is another amp I don't need but now i really want it!! The current price is just crazy.
This is rad.
I am definitely interested in this amp
I’m buying another to keep in the box, open it 20yrs from now
@@wal test it first be a bitch if it was a dud remember its made in china Q.C. ant the best
...I am not
@@wal grabbed one when I got home. Wish it was in Canadian dollars though. Haha
Never got it turned on, bummer
@@fullpeladas cool. Thanks.
I bought one of these and of man is it ever great. My next amp is also gonna be from down4sound. Their stuff is great and the price is too.
I think they are great also and people think I’m just saying that, but it’s literally the truth
@@wal They really are just offering good amps at good prices. I only wish they would rate their amps a bit more accurately.
Oh man they're going to make me change up my stuff. I'm tempted to sell my Wolfram and my audio control LC4800
Keep that ac to this day I regret selling mine
Make this a 7 or 9 channel ( distribute the front 4ch a bit to be a bit lower for 3 way active) Ill be all over it.
🍆 9 channel.... my comments alittle gay but fukn A🤘🏽
On the kickers it looks weak but on my single SA v.2 15" sundown audio I bet it would put in work.
Red on sale right now for $249.99. CANNOT beat that.
Awesome video bro 💪🏼👊🏼 you definitely will have some crystal mids and highs with this one amp set up 👀🔊
I have owned D’Amorees 5 channel amp, JL Audios 5 channel amp, Hertz’ 5 channel amp, and JBLs 5 channel amp.
That's not biggest problem with a lot of these five channels they lack on the subs
I wanna see a 7-9 channel amp for a complete all in 1 setup. Ch1/2 75w, ch3/4 125 watts, ch 5/6 300 watts, channel 7-9 as much power as possible.
@David Long lol 3000+ watts man at that point you really need a separate sub amp. The current draw and power supply needed would kill the modest size.
But how is SQ on it ? Love the numbers not every one is using P.A speakers for high end ?
JP FOR THE WIN ☣️🔊🔊
GREAT REVIEW... AWESOME PRODUCT!!!... WILL DEFINITELY BE LOOKING INTO THIS FOR ONE OR TWO OF MY VEHICLES...
Could you use an RCA splitter for channels 1-2/3-4 at the amp end so you can still only run one RCA?
The JP 34AB would be an amazing dyno too see
Very good video big D. This is the amp I'm trying to get my brother to buy for his set up. 👍👍
For 5 channels the component count is kinda light. Great power output but I’d be concerned about the sq of the 4 channel section.
@Fake Name generally speaking, more components means more sophisticated power supply management and filtering. On the output side it means less distortion and less noise. Just look at a gut shot of any jl audio amp and compare it to this amp.
Give us a little detail to tide us over. Build the anticipation. What do the purple, green and gold amps rate at?
The gold one is an A/B surfboard amp. The green one is 6300 watts. But I forget what the purple one is… None of them will be available until spring 22 though.
Perfect amplifier for a single amplifier setup 👌 I bet it sounds incredible in a car with some good mids/highs and a good 1200 to 1500 watt rms subwoofer
