Even though I feel very burnt out, All in all I believe the end result was totally worth it! So here some facts about the project below! Fun Facts: - I did this entire orchestration in one single project file, hence it took a solid 1 minute to load the file, and another 4 minutes to load all the instruments/sfx due to the colossal nature of it. - I accidentally put "Bonetrousle" before "Sans." and I was too far into the production to switch the positions, so I came up with a creative way in the video to make use of it instead. - The 6 months of production included both Nugisdrawing and Alec8ter creating a list of potential OSTs I could cover, refining it until we had the final list which took a total of one month. - The exclamation mark in "Spear of Justice!" is intentional. - "Bergentrückung / ASGORE" was to orginally have badass german narration in it's intro stage but I couldn't find time to record my lines. - "Bonetrousle" was originally supposed to be a big band jazz orchestra version but it didn't work out too well. - "Heartache" took the longest to cover. - I aimed to make Your Best Nightmare's intro as nightmare fuel as possible. For the first part, I actually sampled a real recording of the infamous "Upsweep". It is an unexplained underwater acoustic recording by NOAA in 1991. To this day, the origin and what caused the sounds remains unknown. - "Your Best Nightmare" is the first time I utilized three-dimensional audio powered by DearReality! - "Your Best Nightmare" has morse code somewhere. Try to find it! - "Your Best Nightmare" originally had an even more terrifying laugh of Flowey that I edited with sound design and creative audio, yet it was so disturbing that even I decided to tone down it's rather horrific nature. - "Your Best Nightmare / Finale" uses a power drill as an instrument that I recorded whilst my room was being renovated. This track was the most challenging one in the medley which was partly inspired by DOOM's soundtrack. - "Megalovania" uses the largest amount of Jet Engines I have ever used in a single piece, with over five instances of it. - My personal favourite piece is actually "Spider Dance"! - Yes, I did incorporate some passages from Attack on Titan into ASGORE's theme! - Until this production began, I have never played or watched Undertale at all. Once I binged watched the game, I understood that I would never have given this medley proper justice if I didn't know the context of these tracks. Research is very important kids!

Undertale, one of the few games that successfully inspired me to begin game development a year ago. The fact that Toby Fox used Game Maker, not being able to code, to created such a master piece, it fills me with *DETERMINATION* to study Lua and C#.
Oh my gosh i love how Bonetrousle was made to sound so intimating and menacing, like a complete villan theme when in reality papyrus is completely harmless and a lovable boy

(though you have to know undertale references). A new chapter of Deltarune has released just 11 months ago!
To me the BoneTrousle part represents how, at first, Frisk is kinda terrified, the start is a bit scary and off putting, but starts to calm down and become a bit more silly, like Frisk calming down and starting to enjoy the scene. The end still becomes absoluteky epic, like Frisk maybe starting to view Papyrus as very cool!

I am honestly so happy that Hopes and Dreams/Save the World, my favorite undertale ost, got the grand and amazing treatment it got. That key change near the end of Save the World was unexpected and literally gave me chills.
That might be the most beautiful rendition of Save the World ever made. That end where everyone just goes all out with the one vocalist taking center stage with those high notes. And then you slow it down at full volume! I couldn’t have hoped or dreamed of better.
This medley really captures what I call "first time adrenaline." It's like you're reliving everything again, you get goosebumps, you start to focus in on nothing but the screen. "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" was really good. The sudden change to "YOUR BEST FRIEND" then back to "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" and the scenes with "UNDERTALE" were really well captured. Bravo!
Yes and no. The story of undertale is incredible, but I don’t think it would translate to movie format very well, one of its biggest strengths is the player interaction, which obviously is better in video game format than movie format.
Adapting Undertale into any other medium would be insanely difficult due to the fact that the game leans heavily on the fact that it is, well, a game. The meta subtext wouldn’t be nearly as impactful coming from a movie or TV show.
You're not the only one. I believe it would make an amazing movie that even people that have no clue about this game might enjoy too with the music and character's.

Just saying, if there is a broadway musical or a film for undertale, they gotta use the 3 timelines as sides of the film/musical, it would be like having one iteration of the fight, like fighting undyne regularly for neutral, running away for pacifist and undyne the undying for genocide It’s the only way it makes sense Also if you get confused with the 3 frisk variants, I would say neutral will look like in game frisk, pacifist will constantly be more uplifting and have a smile almost always and genocide would be the dustiest bloody thing i have ever seen

Every single Ost is making me violently shocked at how goot they are in every aspect This is a work of art. No tierlist is able to compete with this kind of stuff! 10/10. *CANNOT* Reach any higher in terms of how good it is. You've universally peaked undertale ost remixes with a singular medley. Nice.
Made my favorite songs in the entire ost even better. Spider Dance had me bopping my head the entire time, those trumpets and i think violins were nuts. I don't have to explain how cool the guitar was on Death by Glamour. Undertale, it almost made me cry...again, almost like i heard it for the first time again. And uhhh...not to get sappy but this song means a lot to me, so thank you Karu. Off the the sentimental stuff, Asgore's theme truly sounds like a broken King's last stand for his shattered kingdom, truly a masterpiece. I also like how the strings and vocals kinda sound like AOT, made it even more of a banger. Believe me, when I went through my Undertale phase, I listened to WAYYYY too many megalovania covers, this is certainly one of the best. Hopes and Dreams felt like I was being cheered on by the orchestra all over again, this style is so fitting for this song. Side note, the seamless transition between Hopes and Dreams and Save the World insane, crazy talent you have! On the topic of Save the World, the end where it shows the montage of all the good times you had with the characters, this is entirely my honest opinion, and not just flattery, it is leagues better than the original. "His Theme" gave me a comforting sense of melancholy, thats all the words I can sum it up in, the rest the stuff I can't verbalize, and that's a good thing. The last goodbye had me swaying side to side, and dancing poorly across my room, such a good version of this song, once again, the best. A quick thing that I forgot to type was I love the Guitar and especially the percussion, it carries the tempo along soooo well. Sorry for the long comment, I simply could not contain myself, good music inspires me after all. Your little Adage in the credits, "Immerse, Take Heart, Inspire" they are not just words, but words with meaning, if you get what I'm goin for. Sorry again for the paragraph, I sincerely enjoy your work and I'm optimistic for your future, Good luck, but I doubt you'll need it!

I have no idea if there even is a way to put how much I absolutely ADORE this into words. I’ve always loved Undertale, and I think that the main reason why I grew to love it so much was thanks to its music. I’ve heard a bunch of different covers and remixes, but yours has to be the best one I’ve heard. Throughout the whole fifty minutes or so I went through emotions ranging from AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (in the best way possible) to *almost aggressively jamming to the music*. If I love my all time favorite tracks from the game in their original version, I don’t think there’s a word for the way I feel about them here. They sound so in-character and also a million times more epic, like aren’t supposed to be for a game, but for the soundtrack of life if you heard background music IRL? I don’t know if that makes sense. Thank you so much for making this, it’s the ‘I would rather take the risk of damaging my ears than play it quietly because I physically need to feel the music shaking my bones’ kind of good :)

I like orchestral music and I listen to it a lot, but there is something special about your work, we can see that you really put your heart into it and I think you are the best orchestral maker on youtube. fun fact: one day, i was humming megalovania to myself, and my dad(he's a jazzman) heard it ,and he asked me, if i was singing *** (i don't remember the name of the song, it was a long time ago)? at first i didn't understand what he was talking about, and they explained to me that it was some old jazz song. it's quite possible that it could have served as an inspiration for Toby Fox, or maybe the rule "geniuses think alike" works here

The fact this was premiered on my birthday made it more heartfelt for me. I've only played Undertale for such a short time, but it left a dent in my soul only this game can fill. I turned 20 this year and I honestly didn't know where I'd be and who I'll be at 20, but despite everything, it's still me.
I became a fan of yours because of the HTTYD medley, and when I heard you were making an Undertale medley I couldn't wait. Sefice to say, this absolutely surpassed all expectations, these are my favorite renditions of these songs. Those bells/xylophones at the beginning of 'Judgement' gave me chills. Fantastic work from start to finish!
I hardly ever comment on TH-cam videos but I needed to tell you this is, without any exaggeration, the greatest orchestral cover of any video game soundtrack I've ever heard. Truly incredible work.

What a phenomenal piece of art! Definitely gave off some more "epic" vibes than the actual orchestra concert that was released on TH-cam a while ago. Each of the songs are quite unique in this piece. Specifically the introduction into Bonetrousle sounds like you're about to enter an evil castle. Super cool to turn that used that way.

you should definitely play the game spoiler free. The music hits so much better with its story and fleshed out characters
To me the BoneTrousle part represents how, at first, Frisk is kinda terrified, the start is a bit scary and off putting, but starts to calm down and become a bit more silly, like Frisk calming down and starting to enjoy the scene. The end still becomes absoluteky epic, like Frisk maybe starting to view Papyrus as very cool!

I am honestly so happy that Hopes and Dreams/Save the World, my favorite undertale ost, got the grand and amazing treatment it got. That key change near the end of Save the World was unexpected and literally gave me chills.
That might be the most beautiful rendition of Save the World ever made. That end where everyone just goes all out with the one vocalist taking center stage with those high notes. And then you slow it down at full volume! I couldn’t have hoped or dreamed of better.
This medley really captures what I call "first time adrenaline." It's like you're reliving everything again, you get goosebumps, you start to focus in on nothing but the screen. "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" was really good. The sudden change to "YOUR BEST FRIEND" then back to "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" and the scenes with "UNDERTALE" were really well captured. Bravo!

Yes and no. The story of undertale is incredible, but I don’t think it would translate to movie format very well, one of its biggest strengths is the player interaction, which obviously is better in video game format than movie format.
Adapting Undertale into any other medium would be insanely difficult due to the fact that the game leans heavily on the fact that it is, well, a game. The meta subtext wouldn’t be nearly as impactful coming from a movie or TV show.
You're not the only one. I believe it would make an amazing movie that even people that have no clue about this game might enjoy too with the music and character's.

Made my favorite songs in the entire ost even better. Spider Dance had me bopping my head the entire time, those trumpets and i think violins were nuts. I don't have to explain how cool the guitar was on Death by Glamour. Undertale, it almost made me cry...again, almost like i heard it for the first time again. And uhhh...not to get sappy but this song means a lot to me, so thank you Karu. Off the the sentimental stuff, Asgore's theme truly sounds like a broken King's last stand for his shattered kingdom, truly a masterpiece. I also like how the strings and vocals kinda sound like AOT, made it even more of a banger. Believe me, when I went through my Undertale phase, I listened to WAYYYY too many megalovania covers, this is certainly one of the best. Hopes and Dreams felt like I was being cheered on by the orchestra all over again, this style is so fitting for this song. Side note, the seamless transition between Hopes and Dreams and Save the World insane, crazy talent you have! On the topic of Save the World, the end where it shows the montage of all the good times you had with the characters, this is entirely my honest opinion, and not just flattery, it is leagues better than the original. "His Theme" gave me a comforting sense of melancholy, thats all the words I can sum it up in, the rest the stuff I can't verbalize, and that's a good thing. The last goodbye had me swaying side to side, and dancing poorly across my room, such a good version of this song, once again, the best. A quick thing that I forgot to type was I love the Guitar and especially the percussion, it carries the tempo along soooo well. Sorry for the long comment, I simply could not contain myself, good music inspires me after all. Your little Adage in the credits, "Immerse, Take Heart, Inspire" they are not just words, but words with meaning, if you get what I'm goin for. Sorry again for the paragraph, I sincerely enjoy your work and I'm optimistic for your future, Good luck, but I doubt you'll need it!

I have no idea if there even is a way to put how much I absolutely ADORE this into words. I’ve always loved Undertale, and I think that the main reason why I grew to love it so much was thanks to its music. I’ve heard a bunch of different covers and remixes, but yours has to be the best one I’ve heard. Throughout the whole fifty minutes or so I went through emotions ranging from AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (in the best way possible) to *almost aggressively jamming to the music*.
If I love my all time favorite tracks from the game in their original version, I don’t think there’s a word for the way I feel about them here. They sound so in-character and also a million times more epic, like aren’t supposed to be for a game, but for the soundtrack of life if you heard background music IRL? I don’t know if that makes sense.

fun fact: one day, i was humming megalovania to myself, and my dad(he's a jazzman) heard it ,and he asked me, if i was singing *** (i don't remember the name of the song, it was a long time ago)? at first i didn't understand what he was talking about, and they explained to me that it was some old jazz song. it's quite possible that it could have served as an inspiration for Toby Fox, or maybe the rule "geniuses think alike" works here

What a phenomenal piece of art! Definitely gave off some more "epic" vibes than the actual orchestra concert that was released on TH-cam a while ago. Each of the songs are quite unique in this piece.
