I really love your videos. They’re so relaxing. I love that when I go to work with my horses, I can take my mind off of all my problems. Have a great day, and thank you!
Thank you for driving me to Ohio, then adopting my horse for me! I couldn't have asked for a better person to have gone with to pick up Question. Ily 💕
Sam I want to train a mustang with you more than anything. You are the best in my eyes. Oh, and I keep forgetting to tell you how much I like your video opening. This is a great vid. Thanks so much.
It must be such an honor to gentle these mustangs. I wish I was in better shape to be able to adopt one, and gentle them. Life long dream for me,Maybe one day💖🐎thank you for showing us the process of adoption🤗
Thank you for making this! I am in Cincinnati and wanted to get up there just to see the horses. Been following your youtube had no idea you would be there to pick up ;-( Hope one day to have a set up for a BLM Mustang and Burro. Boarding stables around here shy away from mustang. its a shame.
I wish u explained the paperwork more. I will probably pick up from Ohio or CT as I am in adk ny. This video is nice. Hopefully they will start to do in person picking soon 🙏

I would cry if I got drawn an Antelope Valley for a competition. Mine was so nasty in the beginning. I have the scars to prove it! They sweeten up quickly, though.
Sam, wow, I wish Kristen's last name was mentioned, the BLM lady. I think that might be the Kristen that used to have a farm in NJ and was a TIP trainer. I know she was offered a job at the BLM. If that's the same Kristen, she put 30 days on my, then, 2yo Mustang that we adopted 12 yrs ago at an auction in PA. I adopted her for my 12yo daughter, and now Annie is mine. That would be wild, if it was! Sort of looks like her.
My Navada was in a big pen and stayed behind a huge one. I didn't see him until he was home. I knew he had four white feet and a blaze. But he never trotted just gaited and I was sold. He was eight on my list. Really wanted a curly
Can you adopt from the BLM even if you live in Canada? Also do you need a 3 horse trailer or can it be a 2 horse straight/1 horse angle haul? Also Do you need to have doors on it or can it be a ramp? Sorry so many questions :) Also thank you so much for this video it helps so much!
I’m binge watching while I do my Sunday deep clean around the house. Do you know of any good/trustworthy Mustang trainers in the NorthWest area (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas)
I have a question. Do you get paid for taking these horses and training them. Also are you single supporting yourself with this lifestyle. I don't own a horse, I don't ride, I'm just curious as I watch you. TH-cam has become very interesting to me during this Covid 19 problem. Been watching several shows, and find the love of horses interesting. Thank you for allowing us outsiders a change to watch your life.😉
@@SamVanFleet thank you for answering my question. If you only break even on this venture, I hope you give lessons, have sponsors, or earn money surely by other means. You said you are doing a different makeover but the only one I see on the website is Los Angeles, is that the one you’re doing? I was just accepted to do that one, it’s my first one, but my trailer is too small. Do you happen to know anyone who could pick up in Ridgecrest and how much they would charge, it’s about 160 miles to where I’m keeping the mustang. I’m asking some people in the area but I thought you might know the mustang community a little better.
You don't have to be a TIP trainer Anyone can adopt one as long as you meet the requirements (check out the website blm.gov ) and yes you can pick (as long as it's not a challenge like the EMM)
12:33 gosh guys, my heart dropped 3 feet and I had my hand in front of my mouth when he put that halter on - haven't those horses been through enough? - have some compassion, put yourself in their mind: they think they are going to get their head cut off - they are panicking and you are excited and laughing - no offence, just be more aware, please
Yes I have a question I've been researching this now there are wild mustangs in California and in other states do they transport these horses if you are buying them or adopting them to Kentucky or whatever state the BLM Sands Mustangs I live in Missouri and I myself and a friend of mine who is a bull rider are highly considering adopting one or more Mustangs and so I am trying to find out some of the things that will be done or can be done when adopting them thank you so very much
Where do I go to in Kentucky I've been waiting on somebody to mention Mustangs in Kentucky been waiting a few years I have property in NancyI don't want to do the Mustang makeover I just want my own mustard or two how do I go about doing that
I’m from Springfield. It’s not considered to be in “southern” Ohio. It’s more like Western Central Ohio. It’s right off of I- 70, which leads due west to Indianapolis.
I think you should look if the shelters can send animals overseas and check at laws about animal trading and probably CITES since there are wild animals. Maybe because there are horses it might easier than for example a rhino but you should look it anyway. Wouldn't be cheap, that's for sure.

Love this. and i loved to see all those mustangs!
This is exactly the video I needed, I've been researching how to possibly adopt a mustang but it's so confusing
There are some at horse sales also
This is a dream of mine..someday 💕
When you click in on this video and see your old comment...my someday came true!🥲❤️
Omg thank you!!! I am thinking about getting a mustang
I would cry if I got drawn an Antelope Valley for a competition. Mine was so nasty in the beginning. I have the scars to prove it! They sweeten up quickly, though.
Simple------let the Mustang pick you.
For EMMs you can't, they're randomly assigned
And some people need specific traits, like i wouldn't be able to ride a horse under 14.2 hands
Excellent videos!
I love the Mennonite/ Amish girls who picked up horses as well. My parents background is Mennonite.
Informative and interesting. Excellent.

She works for the BLM on the east coast. I believe in the Milwaukee office

There is a black mountain mustang for the online auction in July

I wish there was a program like this in Australia, most of our wild/feral horses go to waste :(
You guys do have some sort of brumby challenge! I know 1ItsCrunchTime1 on insta adopted one named Gypsy!
This is frigging intriguing

When Will you get your next mustang??
End of April
Hi Sam,
I would love to adopt and train a wild mustang. Could it be possible even from Germany?
😊👍🙈
Mustans are being sent to GERMANY now
Would you say it’s better to halter them in the loading chute or wait til you get home and start working with them?
Either way is fine. I’ve done both, just personal preference
wait, do you or do you not have to be a certified TIP trainer to adopt a mustang?
can anyone buy one?
can you pick
You don't have to be a TIP trainer
Anyone can adopt one as long as you meet the requirements (check out the website blm.gov ) and yes you can pick (as long as it's not a challenge like the EMM)
What would I do if I want to look at horses in long term holding ?
Love your video and have to tease: 3:00 you have geldings in the wild? Those horses have evolved, is this the work of the reigning stallion?
No, these horses have been gelded. BLM does not adopt out stallions. All horses available for adoption are mares or geldings
I live in Florida do you know if thare is a b.l.m in my state and what is the price over 2 or younger
Can you do challenge and adopt with the same horse
I would say the halter is not worth the trouble and potential vet bills!
How do we get a mustang trained by one of you ladies?

This was a satellite adoption event

can people from Asia adopt mustang? I wanna adopt some someday
Krizzalyn Perez No, lol.
I don't know if you can, but sure wouldn't be cheap.
Can you adopt a mustang when you don't live in America?
You could buy a sale authority mustang, or you could buy one that’s for sale in the USA once it has its title
I haven't watched this yet, but I've always wanted a wild mustang! Thanks so much! Question, how much do you usually pay for them?
To adopt a complete wild one is $25 or $125 depending if it’s on a year contract or not
