Haha I can relate! When I was a little kid I always said that the first thing I would buy once I had a job was one of those collectible FX lightsabers 😂
Which is why I was so excited to them bust them out in the end of this performance 😂
They actually got to keep those lightsaber props from the concert. I've only ever seen exo incorporate the water into the stage design. Usually if there is a water element for a dance performance then a tarp with very little water on it is set up. Not an actual part of the stage that can be filled and drained.
Super Junior have had fountains shooting up on stage before, I guess it's an SM thing
Finally! Thank you so much! This was one of the original songs they had in their teasers before they even debuted but it never got released until right before The Force Awakens when Disney teamed up with SM. When you said Kai was beautiful at the start, it was actually Suho ;) There is also a performance of this where two of them go head to head with lightsabers and Kai hits so hard with his the light actually shorts out. I knew you would love the end choreography
I think it was another song named "Lightsaber" but idk for sure, they sound very different to me but maybe they have the same sample etc. 😊

How can you say your a fan of Star Wars and not recognize R2D2's iconic signature chirp sound? LOL The "whistle" was the robotic voice of the little Jedi robot named R2D2, that was Luke Skywalker's partner in all the movies. The whistle noise was not made by the members, but it was an electronic noise on the music track for the song. Hence the Star War's theme and why you hear Darth Vader's iconic breathing as well. :D
Kpop and EXO have so much influence on international pop culture that big western companies, such as Disney are asking them to partner with them. "Lightsaber" was a collaboration between Disney, which owns the "Star Wars" franchise, and EXO as a way to help Disney promote the most recent release of their "Star Wars" movie at the time. Disney actually approached SM Entertainment and asked them if they would be willing to create a song and MV centered around the "Star Wars" theme as a way to promote the upcoming release of their newest installment of the "Star Wars" movie across Asia. So SM Entertainment came up with "Lightsaber" and the accompanying MV. And because EXO is one of the most popular groups across Asia with one of the largest fan bases, which has a lot of international influence, its not surprising that "Lightsaber" as a song and MV got a lot of recognition around the world. And because of the song's popularity SM came up with this concert stage as well. One of the reasons why SM agreed to partner with Disney on this project was because it fit so well with EXO's storyline and concept. As aliens from Planet Exo, it makes sense that EXO might be Jedis as well. :D Rumor has it that an executive from Disney happened to catch EXO's performance of "El Dorado" at one of their concerts, in which EXO also has choreography that uses lightsaber-like lightsticks, and that's how they were inspired with the idea to ask EXO to collaborate with them on this project. Also as one of the big 3 Entertainment companies in Korea and around the world SM has had a relationship with Disney for a long time now and SM has partnered with Disney to produce programs for Disney Channel Korea in the past. Many of the members of NCT got their start pre-debut as members of Korea's Mickey Mouse Club and they starred on the well known variety show which aired on Disney Channel Korea.
If you were paying attention at the end when they started their dance with the lightsabers you would see that they turned on their rain machine. That part of the stage has a rain feature that can be turned on and off. So it was raining down on them the whole time they were dancing with the lightsabers. That's why they were wet at the end. That's also where the water they were dancing in came from. Water played a big part in this concert and they got wet several times during it because of the rain machine and moat filled with water that encircled that part of the stage.
Suho's superpower is the ability to control water so water plays a big part in a lot of their concerts, but especially this one because they built a whole section of their stage around this rain machine and moat. As I have mentioned before, everything EXO does revolves around their concept and origin story so you will see elements of their story and powers even in their concerts. For example, when there is water elements you will see them focus on Suho and you will often see him raise his hand in the air right before something to do with water happens, and Baekhyun controls light so often when the lights turn off on stage they will focus on him right before the lights go out or when a spotlight turns on because he controls the light. And when they sing about winter or snow you will see them focus on Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost and when there is fire elements on stage you see them focus on Chanyeol because he has the power to control fire, etc. Even their choreography has nods to their powers. D.O. has the power of strength/force and in some of their dances you will see D.O. use his power to move the members or push them around in the dance and Sehun has the power to control wind so you can see his power being used sometimes as the members rotate around him in some of their choreography, etc.
Oh yes there you go! That water thing and rain effect is only for EXO! I'm happy you liked it. Yey, more items to watch from my list.

you asked how to go to EXO concert? since you are in US, thats kinda difficult like last year they skipped US cauuse they have many solo job....but i hope this year they will add US and Europe too...Fyi, EXO first US tour in the beginning of 2016...
If EXO skip US again this year, i recommend you to go to Japan, why Japan? cause Japan very professional...the camera works, the stage, the facilities are really good. But if you want go go to Korea thats also good...but...its kinda hard to get their ticket in Korea cause there are more than million ppl tried to access their concert ticket last year...so yeah, u knw what i mean...
But again,...EXO concert is another level...really worth to watch...
