Ye a lot of people are with you on that.
I would like to see an update that lets you change the online trophies to offline trophies planned by the developers. Even if it's just "Kill 500 enemies.", I don't go online and so can't 100% games that I would be able to. UFC first annoyed me with this as it was the first game when I switched from xbox360. Or you could set it to "never online" and get the plat for completing all offline trophies r something. Either way would be an improvement. They want you to pay to go online, so can't see them helping you stay happier offline.
Ye and I dont think trophy hunters represent a large enough percentage of gamers for it to be worth them adjusting things for our sake. I like it when they introduce a vs Bots mode for when the online goes quiet like with Killzone Shadow Fall

I hate how some games will give you a bronze trophy for doing something difficult due to trophy points for that game I would believe.

Sony should reward people who get plats, however small.
Haha :P There could be some kind of in game reward system but it would only make sense and be fair if the rewards were for the game you earned the trophies in, maybe a small discount off the season pass if you have the platinum or something. That would benefit them because it would keep more people playing the game for longer and give people incentive to purchase the DLC as noone likes to waste a coupon :P They couldn't have the rewards carry over to other games or people would just farm loads of easy plats (like we already do I suppose lol)

you should be able to get a small official platinum trophy mailed to you with an inscription of the game title and your username on the plaque

They could give stuff like avatars or themes. Doubt those would cost Sony much.

I just got my 21st and my 22nd Platinum trophies today now I'm working on code vein trying to get the Platinum for it also Monster Hunter world also I got to go back and actually try to platinum Dark Souls remastered once and for all

Ye I started my Stay-Pationt account almost a year before the PS4 launched. I had a lot of experience from beforehand too. And it's great to see so many female trophy hunters getting involved on the channel :) Gamings certainly not a hobby enjoyed primarily by guys anymore as the stereotype used to suggest all those years ago :)
StayPationt Trophies thank you! It's surprising how much of a stigma it still is though. I work in the games industry and video games are my biggest hobby. I love Dark Souls and Bloodborne and being part of a Souls fan community as a female, people scrutinise you and your abilities so much, the same goes for trophy hunting but hey; I'm beasting all of my male friends trophy-wise so far 😎!!

I find that after your 10th or so Plat.... something clicks in your head and BAM... you are a trophy hunter. Then you get addicted. Took me years to get to 30 plats, then in one year im nearly at 100

WAIT. People pay you to play games for them so they get trophies that they didn't properly earn so it makes them look like better gamers then they actually are????? Am I reading or hearing this wrong because if not then I do not like this.
They pay me for trophies yes but none of my customers really do it for how it looks to others, it's more of a personal thing. Almost like how when collectible sticker books were big people might buy the last few they needed off someone else to satisfy their in built desire for completion. It's not something that many are interested in but it's worth remembering that noone gains anything for having trophies so if purchasing them is something they feel inclined to do it's not affecting anyone else. The only reason I do it though is because I have permanent health problems so earning a tiny bit of money by doing something I'm good at and can do at home helps keep my brain active and stops me falling into a slump :\
you are reading this right. i think people that pay others to get their trophies is super lame. All of mine came from me. I've been getting trophies since 2008 also. I am just about to get my 100th platinum as well.

Yeah I don't like it. Trophies feel good because you know you earned them. Having someone else earn them for you would just feel hollow.
Thanks buddy, I'm at least coping :\ lol. And ye despite doing what I do for a living I agree with you guys in the sense that I wouldn't pay for them myself. But each to their own and if it means I can earn a VERY modest living playing games then I'm not going to complain :) I'm on the other side remember, earning trophies is rewarding as you say and whether my customers are missing out on that feeling or not is really their call, I on the other hand get to experience that feeling even more so due to doing it all day every day literally for work :P lol. It's just a shame I don't get the credit or the trophies on my own account but we all have to work I guess.

Great vid. Me personally I convert my points in percentages. Example if you on level 13 and you earn all the trophies in one game (Platinum) it adds 15% to your level. So you need about 7 platinums to level up from 13 to level 14. Once you get to level 27 a platinumed game adds 12% to your level. So you need about 8 plats to fully level.
Yes and that translates to what we spoke about in the video. The chart is handy if you forget because usually we have multiple games on the go at once meaning we don't see what percentage a single full platinums adds, unless you only play one game at a time until it's platted then move on :P
StayPationt Trophies on your pinned comment. Some viewers give dislikes for no reason at all. I've watched some vids which are an hour long and they give a dislike in the first minute the vids uploaded. Keep up the good work and as long you don't get as many dislikes as Infinite Warfare then you good to go ;D

It would be interesting if you did a short video explaining about people paying you to get platinum trophies for them. How did it start, what is the cost, what type of requests do you get, who is using it etc etc. Not as any type of expose, I just think it's interesting and would like to hear about it. Thanks.
I did do a video sort of like that when I was looking for applicants to come work with me. The problem is a lot of trophy hunters disagree with the idea so I kind of keep it separate from my channel now ya know. Was thinking I could start a new channel about it but to be honest if anything I'd prefer the work slowed down more than anything so I could have more time for making guides etc :P I know it's an interesting subject to some but is also a very contentious one to many others :\

Updated leveling system:
• Levels 1-99: 60 points (4 bronzes) per level-up.
• Levels 100-199: 90 points (6 bronzes) per level-up.
• Levels 200-299: 450 points (30 bronzes) per level-up. (30, 15, 5, 1.5)
• Levels 300-399: 900 points (60 bronzes) per level-up. (60, 30, 10, 3)
• Levels 400-499: 1,350 points (90 bronzes) per level-up.
Bronze trophy - 15 points
Silver trophy - 30 points
Gold trophy - 90 points
Platinum trophy - 300 points

As a person who transfered from the 360 to the PS4, I just wanted to let you know that not all games on XBox come with 1000 Gamerscore. I'd say about 90% of the time, if a game on Playstation doesn't have a Platinum, it probably has a total of around 200 Gamerscore. I managed to get up to 75,000ish Gamerscore in my time on the 360 and at least 15 of the games I played had 200 Gamerscore total.
Other than that, great video homie. I've hit Lvl. 17 and I can't wait to see if any of the other videos from this series can help me jump up a bit faster. Keep up the great work!
Ye sorry I should have been clearer but didn't want to sound like I was talking about XBOX for half the vid :P I was referring to the current generation, afaik all XBOX ONE games do have 1000GS, it was a new thing implemented more recently (again, afaik) :)

I've been platinum hunting since 2009 casually and have always loved trophies as the best addition to a games console and an amazing device to get me fully completing (or trying) everything I play and getting more out of the games but I never looked up how the percentage side worked as it never really bothered me but now I know it's another great way to compete with people on my friends list so thanks for the video and great tools of explaining how it all works thank you!!

I'm very interested in the series, nice video as always. I just figured out a couple months ago, on my own, after 2 years on PS4 that different trophies have more points lmao. I only have 29 plats (I believe) and consider myself a casual selective trophy hunter so I don't know jack about anything real hunters do.
yeah i think casual hunting is best as it lets you not get too stressed with games trying for the plat, and only going for the ones you truly love and just play other games for fun and whateva unlocks unlocks i guess
29 plats thats pretty cool im very slowly building up too but got mostly bronze lol
KrazyBomber- 95 Most of my plats are grindy, like Skyrim and The Saboteur. I only have a few that are 'fast' plats. Actually only 2 were fast, (from memory) Color Guardians and Day of The Tentacle. And yeah I just play whatever game I want on my account earning any trophies that are simple or natural, if I like it enough and it isn't terribly frustrating, I'll eventually go for the plat. I'm definitely not a 100% trophy on all games guy, I don't have the patience lol.
Haha, dont worry mate i got you i really cant do 100 percent on most games only a select few, funny that Colour gaurdians i got not to long ago it was my last plat and by far the easiest one i earned excluding the walking dead, your doing well by the way i hope to earn 29 plats one day lol, i think i pick games before they come out like for me i heard of this crash bandicoot remake but i said to myself id love to have that platinum trophy (Crash Fan) it will look nice so i may try go for that if it aint to grindy XD

I honestly don't know why people pay others for trophies. It doesn't offer the same satisfaction as when you get out yourself. It also negates their trophy hunting status, since they didn't do it themselves.

I've always loved the trophy system but never cared for trophy hunting, until last year. While I'm a very low level (16) most of those levels came from the past 6 or so months and I literally just gained a whole level from watching your videos lol

Question: how do you obtain online-only trophies for old games whose servers remain active? I'm a bronze trophy away from Platinum in Uncharted 2 on the PS3, and all I need is to finish a coop match with someone in my friends list. However, I don't have any friends who own this game and I fear its servers may be shut down at any moment. Thanks!

- I love that Trophies allow you to see the Platinum for completion (excluding DLC) at a glance
- I hate that Trophies don't keep a tracker/completion percentage towards a particular trophy like Xbox
For example, I've been playing Friday the 13th for AGES. The rarest trophies are "Play 1,000 matches as Jason" and "Play 1,000 matches as a Counselor". I didn't keep a tally from the start, so I have no idea as to where I stand - could be close, could be far off. On an Xbox One, they have a tracking system where you can see your progress at a glance! On PS4, it's a wild guess...
Annoying as it is, my method was to manually keep track once 500 popped.

I've been slowed by level 12 😂. Although it isn't too bad just haven't been able to put the hours in recently. Seriously don't know how anyone gets that many trophies, they must never go out or have a job. I've only 3 platinums and under 1000 trophies. I would say I game quite frequently. Even games that I feel I have skill at I still miss trophies. I very rarely do a second run through so hence the low amount of platinums. Fact is you can be quite a frequent player and still be under level 10, I am not a trophy 'hunter' but still like collecting them if that makes sense, it doesn't bother me if I don't get a platinum. Most people I know are under level 10.
Hi Stay-Pationt! Just found your channel and instantly subscribed. Always great to hear views from a fellow trophy hunter, though I thought I was doing well with my 84%+ completion rate and 94 plats (that 100th plat is so close now), I take my hat off to your 243 plats & 95%+ completion rate.

I just relaxed a little when I reached a higher level although I like to have what I call a "rolling 100%" - another words there are always games on the go so it's never actually 100% but I could reach 100 if I wanted to :P lol.

I'm trophie level44. It's really a struggle for me now to level up quickly, cause i need so many games to level up. One advice i can give to trophie hunter beginners is to have fun, and to never give up

@@StayPationtTrophies I've been trophy hunting seriously since 2015 then I stopped for 2 years with just one Platinum bloodborne acquired my second Platinum was Minecraft that took forever eventually I bought Destroy All Humans 1 + 2 got the Platinum for both Grim Fandango I got the Platinum for it Amnesia collection I got the Platinum for it that took 5 days as of today I have 22 platinum's 5505 trophies just got my silver trophy count above 1000 today

Here's a tip for trophy hunting: Play indie games much more than larger games. for example instead of grinding 600 hours on Skyrim play a game from the "indie" list.

What I don’t understand is why buy a trophy like that I would rather earn it myself I mean don’t get me wrong if that’s what floats your boat go ahead but why not gain the satisfaction of doing it yourself
I was under the same mindset until I recently started playing Goat Simulator and I got all the trophies except one. If you've played Goat Simulator you may know what I mean and if not, look up Flap Master trophy to see what I mean :D The collision detection in that mini-game is HORRENDOUS. I tried for around an hour a day to get that damn trophy until I gave up on the 3rd day.
Great guide but one thing to note. Not all Xbox games have 1000 gamerscore. Some of the Xbox Live markteplace games and indie games only have a maximum 200 gamerscore available to earn (much like the smaller/shorter indie games on the PS Store.)

I hear you there man. The trophy which requires you become Emperor in PvP is possibly one of the hardest trophies to earn. The amount of time and dedication it takes for that one is crazy.

The value of trophies will always baffle me. I'm at level 13 with nine platinums atm, yet a friend of mine only has a single platinum and he's sitting at level 11. I guess having PSN+ and it's free games can really inflate a score even without platinum trophy obtention. Which feels kinda weird, one would think that platinums would have higher importance.

Sorry to hear about your accident. To answer your question:
TH-cam basically makes me nothing, I mean I've recently been growing quite a lot and reached the point where I bring in around £150+ a month, which is literally like a couple of days wage in any other job. If you keep at it for years and years eventually it can make you an income if your channel makes it big, but there is a lot of blood sweat and tears (or time and effort lol) that need to be put in before that's even a possibility, and even then most of the time it never is.
The trophy service is kind of similar. I'm also unable to work but due to permanent health problems and that's the main reason I run the trophy service, to keep my mind active. I make about a 3rd of the national minimum wage (if that) and still live with parents, partly due to ideally needing people around due to my health but also because there is no way I could have my own place on my income, despite working around 15 hours a day 7 days a week. And that's after 5 years of slowly building a reputation and customer base, at first it was literally just like having a once a week paper round as a kid (in fact I'd earn more doing that now lol)
So no unfortunately I wouldn't recommend either to anyone who needs work :\ I hope you find something though buddy!
I wish your videos were a bit more concise. Sometimes your videos feel a little long and sort of feels like rambling. But other than that i love your videos! Keep up the good work!
Ye I just like to be thorough and cover everything. I think so many people on TH-cam rush through things which is fine but I figured I would offer a different approach so I could stand out as having my own style and not just being "another youtuber" ya know. You should watch kindafunny games vids, most are a couple of hours long and they often 15 mins+ at the start just rambling on to each other about what they ate that day :P lol

I'm so glad I found your channel and this video. I had no idea how the trophy system worked. It looked like to me every trophy was 2% added to my total score. I just got to L10 myself.
I m curious about the percentages to the right of the gamer score. Like L10 to L11 is 2000 points and each level has some percentage of each trophy?

Hey, I really enjoyed this video. I don't consider myself a trophy hunter at all, although I do own a lot of visual novels (I'm learning Japanese and it's a fun way to practice reading skills). Don't get me wrong though I do enjoy trophies and if it's a game I love or something I think I can do I'll go for it, but most of the time I'm not fussed either way. however, I do find the culture around trophy hunting quite fascinating and that's why I'm looking forward to the rest of this series.
Thats cool man and thats a very interesting and inventive way of learning a language. I guess the extra investment you feel in the story and your involvement in it helps it all sink in :) Good idea. I was on the Japanese PSN store once when my Mother walked in and asked if I was learning Chinese hahaha, funny for several reasons lol :P
