Thanks! :-) The microphones are RODE NT3s (3/4 inch condensers), and the sound was recorded from the sound desk, with microphones over the audience added to the mix. A graphic equaliser boosted bass subtly to make it sound much like they do on their CD. My microphone positioning for the quartet is not pure X/Y. It's not ORTF either. It's in between! Our ability to locate the source of sound left or right of us isn't only due to one ear hearing sound louder than the other (which is all X/Y does), the same ear also hears it slightly earlier due to the horizontal separation between our ears, so by spacing the microphone's diaphragms a little, perhaps 8 cm, it results in a stereo recording that sounds natural when listening on headphones. This technique however makes it slightly less mono-compatible than pure X/Y due to some phase cancellation in very high frequencies, so I'd use X/Y if I had to record or amplify in mono.
emanuel slays so hard in this one like don't think we didn't see that hip wiggle go shawty bae go
it's fun to compare this to the studio recording they did of this one, all the extra little stuff they throw in live is so cute !!
It might just be me, but the audio quality of this setup is the best I've ever seen on youtube. So Clean.

I understood none of that
But I'm going to send this to the sound guy at our next convention
I was thinking the same. This is the best.
I was thinking the same thing!
Love these guys.
An excellent version! I especially like the first guy's moves. The one wearing glasses reminds me of Mike Mills from REM.
Emmanuel's so... Flexible.
I miss Martin :(

Okay, this is the best cover version (well, the only GOOD one) EVER
Try the cover by Josh Turner. That one got stuck in my head for a month at the least.
Does someone know where I can buy the score of this song? I love it so much
