I love the idea of games being played on Christmas Day but I'm afraid I'm on my own with that. I love being in a caravan / camper with the rain falling on the roof especially snuggled up reading. Take care and enjoy your travelling =-)
Good morning Helen - enjoyed your snippet of your campervan adventures and the story of past Christmas games. Really interesting to hear of past entertainment and the eye guessing games 👀🎄💚🚐
Oh Helen we’ve been to Alnwick a couple of times with our caravan many years ago and loved spending times in the book shop that you can get lost in and bought some brilliant knitting books. Thank you😊
Good morning Helen , im glad the weather has been kind for your trip away , i live in the north east but im still looking forward to the trip to Northumberland , its a beautiful area and i never get bored of seeing it , thankyou Helen 😊
Thank you, Wendy! Yes, I am always happy for anyone to show me their experiences of places that are familiar to me - always interesting to see other people's perspectives! xx
Morning Helen. I'm glad you've enjoyed your birthday break. We stayed in Rothbury when we visited the North East in the summer of 23. Also had lovely days out at Cragside, Alnwick, and Morpeth. It's on our list of places to re visit. We definitely want to see Beamish again. I shall look forward to the video in January. Xx
Good morning, Helen! It looks like your camper van trip is another delightful adventure. The book store looks amazing! Continue on with all of our good thoughts!🚐
Thank you for sharing some snippets of your latest camper van adventure, that bookshop looked intriguing and I look forward to some more films I the New Year. It was good to hear the more lighthearted side of Christmas past in today's reading and to know they didn't always take themselves so seriously. The advent Robin was cute xx
Everyone of your videos is so beautiful, the time, energy and thought in each one is just a reflection of what a beautiful soul you are. The campervan on your dash was the perfect addition to your van wasn't it. We would all sing birthday songs to you, I'm so pleased you have enjoyed your birthday. Sending you love from us all here xx
I could have spent days in that book store. When I homeschooled my sons, Christina Rosetti's poems were in their reading books, I enjoyed reading them.
Lovely to see Alnwick, Cragside and Morpeth. Northumberland looks so beautiful. (I grew up in a place obviously homesick for Northumberland...so many names from there). Thank you for giving us a glimpse, Helen. Barter Books looks like a place to spend hours in. Pearl was doing an excellent job and the campervan mascot there in front. I think my aunt from Sheffield had read your Girls Realm annual because for many of her New Years Eve parties we kids were called in for those sorts of games prior to charades and trivia. I've had the best laugh recognising some...thank you!🤣🤣💌
Thank you Helen! Glad to remind you of some places with happy connections. How wonderful that your aunt held parties with games such as the ones I read about today! xx
Mmmmm - Christmas party games - hostesses back then had a lot to think about if they added games to their itinerary. You look lovely and cozy in the van, - sunshine 🌞 yeah. Looking forward to a full video whenever, no pressure 🤪. I bet you’re loving the festive look of the towns you may pass thru. A nice wee break before the mayhem of Christmas. (I’m 3 days behind on your videos - no idea how that happened, but catching up now with my first coffee of the day 🤗).
What an amazing bookshop? I would love to visit that one sometime. I thought some of the games you read would be great fun to do these days too! I personally love a word puzzle!
Happy belated birthday to you and your mum. I'm so behind with Vlogmas I think I'll just start again from here. Please can I ask where you store your clothes when you're away in the van? I think you showed this when you first had it but wondering if you have any new tips. I can either have a wardrobe or a toilet in the Campod. Such a tough decision. 🙄
Thank you Anita - it is definitely rather tricky trying to keep up with Vlogmases!!! We store our clothes in those fabric, zip-top boxes (we have one large box each, which is big enough for a two-week trip) and we store them under the back seat where we can get at them easily. This system has worked really well for us, and the only development on my part is that I tend to subdivide my box with box-shaped bags to keep things like underwear in separate compartments. xx

That is sometimes a problem - finding other people willing to join in with some games! 😂 Thank you Lorraine xx
