These ships probably aren't up to code, considering how fast they had to build them and how little time they had. A lot of the safety measures that should be in place, aren't due to time restrictions. The literal apocalypse was breathing down their neck, so they probably just settled for 'whatever gets this thing working as fast as possible'.
0:13 Captain Michael: we're headed straight for the north face of Mount Everest Mr Anheuser, and if we can't start our engines, we will not survive the impact
By god those are some shitty hydraulics. How are they able to lift a door that massive but get stopped by a cable? Movie logic always baffles me but in the end it's just a action movie just enjoy it for what it is
Yes, but the base of Mt. Everest is from the above sea level. Mt. Mouna Kea in Hawaii has it's base from below the sea level and have the more height than Mt. Everest approximately. I don't know exactly but the theory told like this.
Such an amazingly wonderful design for the ark ships... Can't close a door? Gosh, we have to make sure they can't power the ship or maneuver in any way until they get that door shut! Ugghhh... I watched this film for the fun effects, and even just doing that it often made my head hurt.
Disconnect the logical part of your mind which is difficult for many, get past the numerous nick of time escapes, ignore the ridiculous level of engineering that is over and under engineered at the same time, time frame is number one enemy of logic followed by enormous conspiracy of all governments. Crippling logistics involved in time allowed .
@@curious5887I agree. The whole premise is based on how the elitists would leave everyone behind and save themselves. This is the same reason they will never allow space travel. Take off those rose-colored glasses, and see them for what they are. Great movie describing what those stupid idiots with money would do to everyone just to save themselves. The true stupidity is that they would not have the manpower or intelligence to survive on the other side. For that reason alone, the human race is in dire straits.
The son trusted his gut feeling and still helped his dad, although he clearly told him to stay with his mom and sister.
The difference between being good at taking orders and being a good human being.
In real scenerio , we will bypass that ciruit between engine on and door closing and turn the engine on
In other words: “We need to reroute main power through the secondary conduit”
I also would expect the engineers to have a bypass system already setup. In case of this type of situation.

The people on the summit of Mt Everest were lucky as hell😅
Yup. if they can stay save at earthquake, they are save
The part Jackson saves the day with the help of his son and his family is my favorite part of the movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Just wait until he tells his son about skiing the k12 in high school on one ski.

Collides with north face and remains intact.

They slowed just before they hit so they mitigated the damage to the front

Its actually stupid... They could just say their engire roter was blocked. In reall life they gona activate the engine anyway
This was the start of waterworld
The last thing mount Everest expected is to get submerged in the sea 💀
I feel bad for the mother shes doing everything to keep her kids safe. Shows shes a bloody good actress and a good mother
James Cameron should make this movie 🎥🍿🤔🙏🏻🇮🇳

In reality, it will survive because Everest is not fully snowy.

@@Dragongfbhgrd No, it survived. The ark only crushed the icy snows in little before it went engine ON and reversed.
