      @masonh4409 that's great to hear! What has been the biggest improvement for you over living in Los Angeles? Danny is from LA 😉

      Potentially leaving LA for a job in Sacramento. What do you like about the change? (Originally from the Bay Area)

      @@hiketysonI just moved from OC. It’s definitely a change! Way less crowds here, but less amenities as well. Mornings right now are pretty chilly and summers are supposed to be brutal (relative to where we were). But people are friendly, Sacramento is actually a pretty neat city with a lot going on and a lot of potential. There’s definitely a buzz here and a big future I think. We chose West Roseville for cost, safety, schools, and shopping. Went from a 1 bed apt in OC to a 2500 sq ft house here.

      @@Erm439 Wow! Your new living situation sounds like a dream compared to your life in OC. Thanks for your response. I appreciate it!

    I see your video is quite recent. At 4:38 you show gasoline prices on full serve from 6.79 to 6.99. I live in Sacramento and nowhere have I seen such high prices. As of today prices vary
    from 3.55 to 3.95. Why would you show such ridiculously high prices? Even at the peak of high prices a few years back I've never seen prices as shown. Did you take this picture in Hawaii?

      @eddie-xi6ls Thanks for watching! That was an example of how high they can go here in California, and yes, Sacramento gas prices did hit that high in 2022. But I clearly say they run about $1.50 over the national average, so people can put that into perspective of where gas prices are today. Thankful that they are lower as of now, but still always run higher than most other states due to all the gas taxes.

    Rosevile and rocklin are chill and calm mostly but most areas in sac are starting to look like a dump now and full of homeless

    Bought a house for $690K back in summer of 2022 and put in $50K in renovations. Feels like it's too big for 2 people still, coulda gotten away with a cheaper house!

    • @livinginsacramentosuburbs
      @livinginsacramentosuburbs  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @delayedgratification581 we often advise clients to buy less. We know things seem cheap compared to higher price markets like the Bay Area or So Cal, so a lot of times people buy bigger just because they can but not necessarily because they need it. We are all about saving money on a home so you can to enjoy life more (more vacations, more dinners out, ect) 😉

    You forgot to mention the growing population of HOMELESSNESS and high crimes in some areas. The home prices double after people from the cities moved here.

    • @livinginsacramentosuburbs

      @duong7071 we've mentioned in prior videos. Most of our relocation clients choose the suburbs, which we find to have far less issues with homelessness & crimes. The police departments in many of the suburbs do a really good job at cracking down on these things. But I agree, especially in downtown Sacramento, there has been an increase over the last couple decades. Hopeful California will find a way to better address the increase in homelessness 🙏🏽

      RV encampments sprouting like mushrooms. More and more headscarf-wearing women at the farmers market with food stamps. The bike trail by the river used to be nice, but now there are too many homeless along the trail who assault riders.

  • @lmt1701
    @lmt1701 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Sac is very bicycle and pedestrian unfriendly. Public transportation is full of the unhoused. The whole region has a major housing crisis problem with homeless encampments everywhere. Porch theft is an epidemic. Traffic is terrible with too many hit and runs, esp killing cyclists and pedestrians. I don’t mind d living here but wouldn’t look at a map of all possible places and choose it. The job market is about the only reason.

    • @livinginsacramentosuburbs
      @livinginsacramentosuburbs  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @lmt1701 most people relocating here are choosing the suburbs where we find the things you mention to be less of a problem. But those are definitely more prevalent issues in the heart of Sacramento Proper. And yes, many come here for higher paying job opportunities, but other big factors are weather, public education, availability of new homes, want for more recreation & lifestyle aspects while balancing with affordability in comparison to other California major cities.
