Or would you rather recommend a guided tour leaving from and returning to Malaga?
@@herika006 there is a regional train going to el Caminito, but as we haven't been there yet we cannot share many specific details of how it works. Hello Tony, I constantly keep learning from your very informative and interesting videos. Will be in Malaga at the beginning of March .planning to spend a bit longer than a week. Which day trips from Malaga would you recommend ? Thank you very much!
Thanks! Málaga is no different from most Spanish cities, parking for free near the centre of the city if a bit of an act of luck. We haven't got any specific advice. You could try the area near the Rosaleda stadium, which is not in the centre, and then use the public transport system to get you closer to town.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal ok I have read online there is free parking near the Stadium, hospital and University but not sure how accurate this information is I guess I will find out when when I visit.
The city centre has 5 public parkings where you can park your car without problem. For having an idea, almost 2 hours with your car parked in one of those parkings can cost you around 3-3,50 €, it depends in wich parking you're going to park, due every parking has his own tariff, anyway, they're very similar and they adjust to the price I told you before. @@Enzodaytona2 Thanks for the information. I have had a look online and apparently there is free parking near Malaga FC stadium which is only a short walk away from our apartment.
@@Enzodaytona2 that was very helpful, Álvaro. For short-term stays, public car parks are fine, but for those intending to park for longer hours, they become a financial liability. All the best!
Question about traveling to Malaga from Sevilla. I have been researching day trips from Sevilla for a trip in late October. I've got Granada, Cordova and Ronda all planned out. My sister and I cannot find any day trips from Sevilla to Malaga. What do you recommend?
We do not conceive Málaga as a day trip (even less so, Córdoba or Granada). I'm sure there are private companies offering the trip but, in our opinion, it's an absolute waste of time. How are you going to decide what to see and what to leave out in all those cities?
Hi Tony First thank you for your wonderful videos on travelling to Spain. They have been most helpful. I could not find videos on how to buy local bus tickets in Malaga, (and actually also Granada, Cordoba and Seville) on your website(it looks like for most of the travel within these cities we need to use buses) - so was wondering if you could guide on the options to select in English while buying the tickets(similarly to what you do for metro/train tickets). Are there multi day passes that I can buy in each of these cities and can these tickets be bought at Granda, Cordoba and Seville train station or Malaga airport. Lastly do we have to validate card/tickets on both entry and exit of buses (as is needed in some countries like Netherlands). I apologize for asking this general question but could not find any place else to post the question to you. Thanks for your help.
Hi Mita, we haven't covered on the channel the type of content you mention. In Málaga you will rarely use the bus (just to go to Gibralfaro castle), so buy the ticket from the driver, no need to validate it. All the best.
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal ok I was thinking they had like local booths set up as you get off the ship to buy different excursions instead of buying them on the cruise ship.
We don't have a video on Granada, it is top of our priority list. Only bags smaller than 40×40 cm. are allowed in the Alhambra. There are free lockers.
Can you recommend a legit tour company that has bus tours to hike Caminito del Ray and well as a day trip to Ronda? I am not sure if some of the sites are shady. Thank you! We love your videos and are planning an extended trip to Spain in April and May.
Hi Bud, we would recommend this one for the Caminito www.civitatis.com/en/malaga/caminito-del-rey-day-trip/?aid=2167&cmp=YTENG Al and this one for Ronda www.civitatis.com/es/malaga/excursion-ronda-setenil/?aid=2167&cmp=YTENG All the best!

At El Tintero when the waiters walk around with plates can I call them over and have a look before deciding? I might not know what they are shouting. It's definitely a must-go to place. Looks delicious. As well, I plan to stay in Malaga for at least 13-14 days, but taking day trips to Ronda, Marbella, Cordoba and Granada. I plan to go to Cordoba and Granada for two days each but returning to Malaga each evening. I'm sure you can take the train in the morning and spend all day there and then return, and then return the next day to the same city. Can you confirm that? Can I?
At El Tintero the waiters come to your table. They will show you their offerings for you to decide whether you want them or not. Córdoba is a feasible day trip, although you will have to focus on the basics of the city and will miss the beautifully lit Córdoba at night. Granada is also an option if you take a fast train although, once again, you will miss quite a few places and possibly one of the most beautiful views in Spain, the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás at sunset.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal I will finally be visiting Malaga in June (2023). Looking forward to it. I will walk up to the castle since I want the exercise.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Thanks Tony, we have been to Nerja and Friglliana twice, infact we were there in April this year. They are both absolutely beautiful places to visit, we will try Ronda, what is the best way to get there please?
Lot's of people do that. It's not perfect but it can be done, you won't be able to see all the places we talk about on our video no Córdoba th-cam.com/video/2tTlT68kxEo/w-d-xo.html but you will have time to see the basics.
Hello, the latest train from the airport departs at 00:24. After that, probably best to take a taxi. We don't have a video on public transport in Málaga, as a tourist, you are very unlikely to use it, the only exception being the bus going to Gibralfaro Castle and then you can buy the ticket from the driver.
Our advice can only be, don't do it: you are going to spend more time on the road than on the Alhambra itself, which is truly unforgivable. You can go by train (renfe.com) or bus (alsa.es).
how about if i leave Seville to arrive in Granada around noon to visit around and stay one night. next day i go to Alhambra in the morning and other places and leave for Malaga in the afternoon.
@@patrickchung2710 not perfect but that sounds much better than your initial proposal. Try to leave for Málaga at the end of the day - or as late as possible in that day.

Hello! How to get from Malaga airport to city center after midnight? Do you have video about public transport in Malaga? Thanks!
Doing 2 days in Malaga and 2 in Granada. Can you tell me the best and quickest way to get from Malaga airport to Granada. Thanks
That would be a rental car.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Isn't there a high speed train now?
@@johnsain it's a middle distance train. Not as fast as a high-speed train but fast enough.

Is it possible to go to the top Alcazaba in wheelchair??
Or we disability people are not included???
Please watch the video, we show how to reach the top of the Alcazaba in an elevator.
how can you visit Alhambra from Malaga in one day. Don't have a car
