I got my RAAus licence at Murwillumbah many years ago, then did a GA conversion at ‘Cooly’, so Bob Tait was a big part of my life for a long time. I met him once up at Archerfield and what a wonderful bloke he was. Thankyou Bob. Legend!
Thank you Bob for your many many years of dedication. As an aspiring 73 yo trainee pilot your career, commitment and love of flying is a serious motivator for me. Thanks for extending your expertise into the RAAus field. May you enjoy many more years in the sky. Up up and away!! Adrian (& Colleen), Canberra
Funny watching faces of instructors glimpsing over ASI when Bob doing sideslips :) Bob should put the sticker on speedo and teach them to forget "inertia" and fly the attitude !
That was brilliant. Thank you. I too thank you Bob for getting me through my PPL theory exam. I honestly couldn't have done it without your training - so a big thank you from me.
Did you know there are aerodromes that you can land and they are not in Ersa at all? Bob was clearly within markers and by the look of existing trails, the grass was in serviceable and in use. Suggest reading Caap 92-1.
One could only dream of having the experiences and influence this man has had on so many, thanks for making this short film to recognise a true pilot & thorough gentleman. RAA - 011098.
It was more of an Raaus advertisement and informercial than a film dedicated to the great man that Bob is and the work he's done in aviation. It was a good film but I would've loved to hear and see more of his life.

Wow. That was awesome. Bob is an amazing person who has done so much for the industry. Well done on putting this together.
I loved how natural the instructors HASEL check was. Nicely done.
I truly enjoyed watching his story. I did not know Bob Tait but now I think I do. Well done!
This man is a national treasure
Great film!
Well done RAAus team, that was great viewing, thankyou 👍👍

Congratulations on an inspiring and moving tribute to Bob, and thank you to RAAus for creating this film.
Thank you Bob, haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you in person, but have met you in your books, forever grateful 🙏 a wonderful story
Bob Tait - complete legend - thank you for all your sage answers online to all those nutjob aviation theory questions!!!
Wonderful visual story about a great man. Well done all.

Ermmm, no grass strip on the left at Redcliffe in the ERSA ...

This was like teaching a Doctor to be a nurse. There was no "conversion" here, just a check ride in a light (not ultra) aircraft..
Hurry up RAAus and get that CTA sorted out. More important than MTOW increase.
