Well not for the average breakfast, but if you go out for breakfast or brunch there will always be a glass of sparkling wine included :) At least in my area and wherever I went to in Germany :)
Hahaha the last ones are the best! I have another one: Here in Germany the birthday boy/girl has to bring their own cake and even invite the food/drinks. Am I the only one who finds that weird? Even at work I saw a lot of people coming to the office with their own birthday cake and stuff 🎂🎂🎂🎂
naa, it is more efficient that way. so you have to organise only one birthday celebration per year. just kidding, i have no clue why it is that way. my guess is "because it is tradition".
In Spain is the same as in Germany. I found that reeeeeally weird. Imagine if the birthday person has no money to invite everyone or buy a big cake for everybody. It would be better to keep your birthday date a secret 😕
@J.W.D. Salvation76 I honestly don't see how it can be interpreted as anything but cheap. Do Germans make their children buy their own Christmas presents? No, they don't. Making someone buy his own birthday cake is like making your child buy his own Christmas presents. Germans should not want to bruit this about.
A Russian point of view: 1) We also take the jacket off in a restaurant 2) Showing middle finger from a car is not illegal here, but nobody does it. 3) Bread and cereals for breakfast is pretty common here. 4) But not beer or any kind of alcohol. Yes, we don't drink vodka for breakfast, as you might have expected :) 5) Kissing on the cheek is so hispanic. It's neither common here. We usually handshake. 6) Fork and knife are basically for roasted meat and something like that. Hamburgers are eaten with hands. 7) Crossing a red light is generally NOT SAFE in Russia due to in fact possible speed of 80 km/s within the city. 8) Drinking mineral water is up to the person. 9) Kids may walk alone in Russia as well. 10) FKK is indeed something that exists only in Germany. And maybe in Netherlands. 11) Toilets are basically the same in Russia. 12) Young boyfriends/girlfriends may be allowed to stay over, but that depends on their parents.

I think it's fine if teenagers can sleep at their boyfriends/girlfriends house as long as they're familiar with protection and talk with their parents about it. Here in germany the kids know about sex, they talk about it openly and it prevents STD's and teen pregnancies unlike in other countries where it's tabu to talk about sex, there is much more unclarity about that topic and unfortunetly it leads to pregnancies at young ages and so on..
Not in Mexico, you are simply staying at the boyfriend's/ girlfreind's family to know the extended family, know the family's culture (every family has a distinct "culture" or way of doing things), feel like you are a cousin to the extended family, and be judged sometimes severely if you don't measure up to physical, racial, or career expectations.
Chicos los amoo!!! 💕Y me encantaría que hicieran un video de las rarezas mexicanas (soy de méxico) pero quiero saber que opina Janik. Ja ja ja ja Saludos!
In Greece we often take off the coat in a restaurant or a tavern, and sometimes there are young children roaming in the streets, but we don't generally do the rest of the things. You guys are awesome, love your videos!
Hello! I'm from Estonia 🇪🇪 and we usually also take our outside clothing off at the table and also most occasion we eat with a fork and a knife. Young kids walking outside in the streets alone is also common in here, I think it's a safety matter, depending of the country/city that you live in and how safe it is. But we don't like to walk around naked, that was really weird for me to hear that you saw two men playing football in the public park naked, in Estonia you could get arrested fot that! Also we don't drink alcohol before noon and we only kiss our close family and friends on the cheek, but not everyone does that, it depends how close is the family and where are the parents from. In my family we do that, most Estonians don't and we never kiss strangers who we just met. Usually it's common to shake hands when you meet a new person 😋
Yep. My first proper girlfriend stayed at my house in my room for a weekend with both our parents permission. I was just 14, she was almost 15. My dad had "the talk" with me, but i had that at school at age 12 already, still, with my dad it was a bit awkward. He told me to be respectful to her and stop if either i or she wasn't fully ready or wanted to stop,....we didn't xD. My mom put condoms in my drawer next to my bed, purposely leaving the drawer open, so I'd notice. The next morning my mom had a talk with Laura, not me,....it was "a girl thing" I was told. A few weeks later i stayed the weekend with her in her parents home,....was a bit nerve wreaking i must admit, but her parents were cool.⬅pretty much the same deal, only my face was more red at certain times hahaha 😂. This is the experience of most Dutch people i know,...they all have a story like this. Dutch parents rather have their kids first time happening under their roof in safety with some sort of awkward but well intended guidance, Germans, Belgian's and Danish are the same in that too. One's I've got kids, i'm going to be the same and follow my parents example.
Omg, I'm 25 years old Peruvian girl and even if I'm already an adult I can't invite my boyfriend to stay the night with me. It's such a deal because it was the first time I wanted to invite my boyfriend to the house to meet my family but it didn't work even if I asked politely to my mother. I already had "the talk" with my mother when I was at school so I thought everything was ok but my parents still think I have to keep "pure" until I get married lol. Reading your message made me feel a little bit sad because of how different we are, culturally of course. For some people the first time is so important and special that...I don't know, if one day I have kids I will definitely do the same as your parents did.
@@anaclaudiagaray9094 Big cultural changes start small. That one day you make sure, as a parent, that your child's first time happens in the safety of your home and with protection👍-up Ana. Hope your boyfriend is the same in that regard and shares that opinion. It's equal here, for both son's and daughter's. My older sister (then at age 14) had the same experience before me, and her boyfriend stayed over at our house and she at his, it's quite normal here. And although my dad gave me a talk that i largely already knew at age 14, he made very sure that i understood a girl's perspective of her first time and that i needed to respond to that and be highly respectful of her. Dutch dad's take that responsibility to really teach their son's this, and in my opinion, that's awesome.
omg that's so cool and even cute, here in Latin America is such an akward and taboo thing, which is stupid because there's a lot of young girls pregnant out there, and the problem starts here, sex education should be like this in all countries.
@@grauben9234 Agreed. We don't have that many teen girl pregnancies here, infact, it's very rare and it tends to be with girls that have an immigration background were the parents are "traditional". This "guided"/supported by parents sexual passage if you will,...helps us to understand sex, what we want, with whom, why and importantly when we are ready and when not. It takes the "shame" and guessing out of it, while still retaining the rest that is positive. Especially girls get to be more armed with knowing it's their body and that nobody has a right to it under any circumstances, it's hers and that's oke. A very important life lesson for young girls and we boys learn that too.

Yes so about the naked culture - I was in Cologne at a spa and everyone was naked there and freely walking around! It was very liberating and no one was focused on nudity. Also I have not met any Germans that like bier for breakfast! I LOVE traditional breakfasts with the assortment of breads, fruits, cheeses and meats
I know I'm late to the party but I really felt the need to clear things up 1) who the hell doesn't take off his/her jacket at a restaurant? maybe people who are into sweating their a**es off 2) Please name one country where it is weird to eat bread and/or cereal for breakfast. I'm interested 3) No we do not drink alcohol for breakfast. Maybe some people in bavaria do but you literally can't compare bavaria to the rest of Germany. 4) Are you really saying that using forks and knifes to eat is weird? And no, most people do eat a burger with their hands. Maybe some bougee people do not 5) Well yeah, why would you want to teach your kid to cross a red light? Its not the healthiest thing to do 6) Maybe some people love being naked. Therefore we have FKK beaches. The situation you described about some dudes running around naked in a public park is actually illegal 7) I would'nt specifically say that we love looking at our poop. These toilets are designed like that to prevent water from splashing when you're doing your thing. Its efficient. We're efficient. I'm probably not helping the stereotype of Germans not having humor. But I literally don't buy it that we're the ONLY country that has/does these things.😂 Especially because I've seen 90% of these in other countries too. Okay I'm done now.

Pizza for example (Which I do eat with hands. But some people in Restaurants still look weird at you) 5) We are known for waiting at red lights even when there isn't a single car on the street. I love that :D the rest of the world would just cross that street 6) yeah she overdid here, but older Germans love there sauna/FKK 7) that's just weird xD She didn't say we are the only country doing this stuff , but she was confused at these things and they are pretty strange/ unusual for foreigners.
@@toffifee32milchmaus Yes and no. She specifically said at the beginning that she'd traveled a lot and hasn't seen most of these things in other countries which I totally don't buy. Nowadays, alcohol for "breakfast" is only a bavarian Tradition. My uncle had every friday these "Weisswurscht/Pretzel/Weissbier" breakfast. My grandpa was a "Vereinsmeier" and chief of several garden clubs - so he went to the clubs at weekend mornings and had a chat with other members at the clubhouse. This was called a "Frühschoppen" and included alcohol(mostly beer). But this was about 40 years ago, when alcohol was widely accepted from the Society even at work or while driving.

You might see it in Munich, I’m not saying people from there are alcoholics but it is kinda normal when you’re with friends.
I’m from Munich
@@sarahpapavlassopoulos7280 people from there are alcoholics
That's actually a very common thing in Bavaria. I have spotted that so many time....
Well not for the average breakfast, but if you go out for breakfast or brunch there will always be a glass of sparkling wine included :) At least in my area and wherever I went to in Germany :)
Frühschoppen oder Sektfrühstück. Gibt's schon deutschlandweit. Ist ja nicht so, als wenn das jeden Tag so wäre.
So sad
naa, it is more efficient that way. so you have to organise only one birthday celebration per year.
just kidding, i have no clue why it is that way. my guess is "because it is tradition".
In Spain is the same as in Germany. I found that reeeeeally weird. Imagine if the birthday person has no money to invite everyone or buy a big cake for everybody. It would be better to keep your birthday date a secret 😕
That's because no one else thinks the birthday man or woman is worth spending any money on.
@J.W.D. Salvation76 I honestly don't see how it can be interpreted as anything but cheap. Do Germans make their children buy their own Christmas presents? No, they don't. Making someone buy his own birthday cake is like making your child buy his own Christmas presents. Germans should not want to bruit this about.
A Russian point of view:
1) We also take the jacket off in a restaurant
2) Showing middle finger from a car is not illegal here, but nobody does it.
3) Bread and cereals for breakfast is pretty common here.
4) But not beer or any kind of alcohol. Yes, we don't drink vodka for breakfast, as you might have expected :)
5) Kissing on the cheek is so hispanic.
What about swimming naked?

Dieser Moment, wenn du aus Itzehoe kommst
What the hell, I live in Mexico, I am 17 and my parents don't even let me have a boyfriend!
Yes, we are weird, but loveable. Thanks for this, I needed to laugh at my own weirdness too, the fork and knife, jacket off, looking at your own stool (check if all is healthy 😂). I find the naked thing weird, too 😂 I cover EVERYTHING 🤣

I know I'm late to the party but I really felt the need to clear things up
1) who the hell doesn't take off his/her jacket at a restaurant? maybe people who are into sweating their a**es off
2) Please name one country where it is weird to eat bread and/or cereal for breakfast. I'm interested
3) No we do not drink alcohol for breakfast. Maybe some people in bavaria do but you literally can't compare bavaria to the rest of Germany.
4) Are you really saying that using forks and knifes to eat is weird? And no, most people do eat a burger with their hands. Maybe some bougee people do not
5) Well yeah, why would you want to teach your kid to cross a red light? Its not the healthiest thing to do
6) Maybe some people love being naked. Therefore we have FKK beaches. The situation you described about some dudes running around naked in a public park is actually illegal
7) I would'nt specifically say that we love looking at our poop.

Why clear things up? Almost everything was correct or I could relate lol

2) I think she just meant that we always and most of the time only eat bread/cereals for breakfast which is true
3) She's thinking of Frühschoppen (because they live in Bavaria) which is a bit weird when you're not familiar with it :D
4) I think in spain you do eat a lot things with hands which you eat with fork an knife in Germany. Pizza for example (Which I do eat with hands. But some people in Restaurants still look weird at you)
5) We are known for waiting at red lights even when there isn't a single car on the street. I love that :D the rest of the world would just cross that street
6) yeah she overdid here, but older Germans love there sauna/FKK
7) that's just weird xD
She didn't say we are the only country doing this stuff , but she was confused at these things and they are pretty strange/ unusual for foreigners.
@@toffifee32milchmaus Yes and no. She specifically said at the beginning that she'd traveled a lot and hasn't seen most of these things in other countries which I totally don't buy. Especially bc someone from Russia commented and said that they also do all of that. She probably just phrased it wrong.
