You missed one of the best features of montage: Midland (aka tent city) The area next to the parking lot has tents you can rent for the day with your own personal fire pit that workers keep going for you! There’s also bathrooms, food and drinks, live music, and it has its own lift access straight from the bottom “expert” terrain. The tents are perfect if you’re going with a group of friends/ family. Also, mountainfest every year is a killer end of season winter party that always features great bands and good times!
Yeah, the claim is just a marketing tactic, realistically it's the steepest (or second steepest, if you include avalanche at Denton Hill, which doesn't exist currently) in Pennsylvania. It's definitely steep enough though! Also, it's about 600 feet vert, not 100 feet.
Love all your ski reviews! Montage is my go to local mountain! Keep up the great work!
Keep it up! I switched to Indypass from EPIC for the 24/25 season.

I’m hoping to finally ski there this winter. My cousins are all from there and I’ve never been there the right time of year to go…
Just looked it up and the steepest trail there is only 31 degrees. Not the 2nd steepest in the east coast whatsoever.
Lol, I wasn't convinced either. Still a nice trail
