Agar aap 50mm leke aur front jaake photo liya tho same cropping aatha tha and 50 mm blur would be better So what I conclude is 50mm is useful for close shots because it can focus from 1ft distance and if we want good blur like 85mm we should go near to object so that we can get same blur and the cropping of image will be same

Firstly what camera ur using. Apsc or full frame camera. 50mm becomes 80mm on apsc. And 80 becomes 128mm on apsc cameras. If u use apsc cameras even the 50mm is very zoomed in. You have to stand bit far to get full body pictures. Not so good for videos too. Good for videos only when shoot at close ups. 85mm is made for portrait photography. 50 mm is just the mini 85. It depends on your work. Check 85 mm photography and 50mm photography videos and choose which focal length 85 or 50 mm looks good to you. My choice is 85mm bcoz it produces very good portraits and professional use it.. I dnt like 50mm. Bcoz it doesn't produces good videos nor pictures. Its just in the middle.. But for starters even the average will look good. After u become pro , u will use 50mm very less, or wont use. Thats why 50mm lens is cheap too. Good for beginners.
