@Daniel Rumbacher I think it's hard to prove that when he was playing so well. It was generally very close and he was well in control overall.
@Daniel Rumbacher Being able to be calm under such high pressure is a part of what makes a champion and rapha has always been on another level when it comes to mental agility/stamina.

At this point the only thing that can beat Rapha is carpal tunnel syndrome.
Hes such a good role model because hes very aware of that actually. On streams he mentioned how important it is keeping his hand and arm healthy.

This is why I love watching rapha play,I see him getting often mechanicly outmatched by some oponent with insane aim,yet rapha is like batman fighting superman,he wins with experience,good tactical play and stone cold mentality.
It would be very VERY interesting to watch the QC tournament, where all these PROs don't know who they play against, but we will :)
I think they can easily guess, everyone has it's own style.

Incredible. I won't spoil who won the final, I'll just say that both Rapha and Raisy played some absolutely amazing games. Props to both, there were a BUNCH of nail-biting moments in this one.
This was my 2nd favorite quake game of all times. The only one that tops it was Rapha vs Evil in 2016. Also you streamed it in 4k quality on youtube, why do we get the twitch 1080p blurry version VOD now? :(
Cypher had some great games vs Evil too. I wish evil would do a come back.

@@mitsuracer87 agreed, I could almost not breath during the whole final, it was so intense. This is the best of e-sport I've every seen. This one is final with Raisy is pretty good though.
Very close and well played both - a worthy final. As others have said, if only there was no DK...we would have had a classic final map and it could have gone either way. I have a feeling it could be these 2 guys again in the next final. Great season!

Fuck these players are insane. The skill level is just insane. I know rapha is amazing but i have to give it to raisy, he was so close. Such a godlike performance from both these guys.

I hope he gets a buff/rework. He probably should get air control to match the Quake 1 flavor and since there's no medium air control champs, but that would make him too similar to Sorlag.
In that case I'd remove damage from spit and instead make it reveal champs who step on it, but make its duration both on floor and champs longer and size bigger to make it like a zoning tool, also flavor wise it's great since Sorlag is a hunter who uses it to track her prey. As for DK passive it's way too niche but it's flavorful.
It was a perfect end.
@@davorbrijacak I would make the fire wave half as long as the acid spit, but player is unable to heal when on fire. It would turn into a great denial skill.
I think raisy only picked dk because he didn't expect himself to make it that far, he would've won with a good champion pick for sure.
@@davorbrijacak DK should have the ability to use lava or fire as a healing “blood pool.”

GGs both! I must say something: Raisy had a rail-day-of-his-life. If it was just a "standard day" it would be sth like 4:1 or 4:2 in games at max. Rapha on the other hand is getting so emotional at times, so frustrated which is untypical for him? He looks a emotionally drained. Strange finale but awesome to watch! Raisy with nothing to lose and Rapha with his opponent having a rail-day on his hands in the final. Shame about DK pick but respect to Rapha! GG glad the zis is Rapha won :fanboy: :D

I miss the qpl
I see a lot of complaints about DK, but Raisy had to have known he had last pick on that map. If he didn't want DK, he should have banned him instead of Scalebearer and then he could have used SB instead (or Eisen if Rapha chose SB on Ruins). Raisy had to of been able to guess the matchups of the next three maps when doing the ban. For better or worse, the pick/ban phase is a part of QC that shouldn't be glossed over.
Fortylions really nailed the Groucho Marx look.
These indeed are great games but mostly I'm just happy djwheat is still around. Esports wouldn't be the same without this guy.

It's all about the servers which leads them to win a match but sometimes it's about the good players.

GGs !! But why does the guy coming from Winners Bracket get one map win by default?? That makes no sense & does NOT happen in any other sport ! Keep it fair !
It's fair. He played at a level which earned him that map. Raisy could have won the bracket and achieved that one map buffer, but didn't. He was lucky that this particular sport allowed him another crack at Rapha with a loser's bracket. Clearly there should be a reward/ advantage for the player who has won the upper tier, otherwise it's only a bragging right.
@@jtjdrums RAISY played 3 BO5 against BaSe, cYpheR and k1llsen, while rapha could rest and analyze his playstyle. Rapha also had the seed advantage. Why it is not enough of an advantage?!
@@calwerz Raisy put himself in that position of having to battle up hill all the time. All credit to him, but more credit to Rapha for his almost flawless performance in his bracket. He deserved to have the advantage, obviously, because he'd played the cleaner tournament overall. His loss-to-wins ratio couldn't illustrate that any more clearly. It was unprecedented.
