I got the same code on my 2016 c300 with 48k miles. I cleared out the code with obd-2 scanner and the code does not come back again after 200+ miles driving. How many miles of driving to have the code come back on with your car ?
I know this is a older video. But I just got my glc300 serviced and 3 days after I got a CEL. Pulled the same code as you. Went away just like yours did. Did this just go away for you? Unfortunately I just bought this car 6 month ago im at 53k or so at the moment so barely over its warranty.
@@jussjess2829 The latest revision of the part being replaced does I believe prevent the issue to repeat. It looks like they simplified the part and made some improvements. My 2018 GLC 300 is at the shop and the part is being replaced this week. New (latest) part number is 274090560080
While you were taking it out for a country drive, you could have stopped at the car wash and put it through the wash, maybe it was telling you it needs a cleaning and that's why the check engine light came on, haha.
P052E This car has no PCV valve The crank case ventilation hose serves the same function Mine did the same now it’s stays on Buckle up it’s a $2$ repair bill It’s a part of a regular maintenance at 72K There’s a guy on TH-cam who has the step by step process if you do inclined Bunch of stuff have to come out Ecu, altrnatir, motor mount, throttle body to snake it out. I would love to smack the living daylight if the mofos at Mercedes who designed this 6 hrs job
Most likely a sensor had a bad reading but then corrected itself, happens a lot in newer cars.

Is this car reliable? I've heard a lot of bad things about mercedes 4 cylinder engines ? Do you think a 2019 x3 30i is more reliable?
As far as I'm concerned, our GLC has been nothing but good to us except for this issue.

No, it did not just go away. It came back on 4 additional times. It's a $1,700 fix at the dealer labor included if you're out of warranty.
Damn.. thats unfortunate. Thanks for the insight.
Have the same car and the crank case replacement cost me 1,300. This is a continuous issue in this car.

@@BusMaster99did you get it fixed with no future issues?
What if the engine lights starts blinking ?
That means there is a serious problem that would damage the engine with continued operation. Stop engine immediately.

Funny, my 2016 just threw the same code and at the same mileage...
Yeah apparently it's a common issue with C300s and GLC300s. It's a $1,700 fix at the dealer including labor if you're out of warranty.
@@BusMaster99 wow nice. I bought mine in March this year CPO with a 3 year warranty thankfully

Yeah the dealer wanted $1,700 for that. Car was just out of warranty, but they goodwilled it.
