My attempt to coax some Pink Floyd / David Gilmour "Live in Gdansk" tones out of a Digitech RP500. Longer clips and descriptions available at www.bencraven.com
@BiavaStratTele Yes to both I reckon. I think the RP500 would sound fine through a nice clean solid state amp, which is my preferred way of working actually. These settings for instance all use a clean Twin patch, so the sounds are not reliant on any specific overdriven amp tone. And construction-wise it definitely feels reliable.
Like the guy below - I had one of these about six years ago, until I went acoustic. Just bought a Telecaster... looked at every multi-fx on the market and bought another of these. I love the simplicity of Stomp Mode and the five effects categories laid out on individual pedals. Plus, the menu is there, printed on the thing, so no need to consult the manual when changing parameters. AND the computer interface was designed for adults ;-) no gimmicky stuff, just plain and simple.
@WutangClan4LiF3 Sorry I'm not really familiar with the quality of the distortion in Guitar Rig or Amplitube. My guess is that distortion is comparable, but without the potential latency issues with software-based solutions.
Many years ago...I have sold one of the first Rp500 on the market, and after dozen of digital pedalboards (Tonelab Se, Korg AX3000 , Zoomg5, Pod Hd500, Boss me70, Boss me80 ), today i have bougth a RP1000. After 6 years DIGITECH is still the best on the market, witch line6 helix, kemper, and others are a waste of money...
Very nice sounds! Even though this unit is since long discontinued, I still have some fascination for the sounds it can deliver when programmed right. I remember thinking that I probably should pick one up when a lot of stores sold them dirt cheap a couple of years ago, but I never did. I think the fact that I already owned the RP350 played a part in my hesitation, and as far as I understand they sound pretty much identical at their core. Same Audio DNA 2 chip and all, but the RP500 is of course a far better option for gigging. Probably has a few more amp models and effects as well. I still have the RP350 so maybe I'll try to copy these settings as close as possible and see what happens... :)
hi sounds great, but cant see EQ bass and highs frequency, level and Q, can you let me know that please, I have digitech RP 1000, thank you I appreciate that
entra a la pag de digitech oficial, seccion de productos, rp 500, a la derecha te sale para descargar tres programas para windows o mac. Tenes que conectar la pedalera con usb, ademas asi la actualizas

@xlocknloll The EQ settings are exactly as you see them here. Only the Mid EQ is engaged. +2dB @ 3kHz, using the widest Q.

Yep it was recorded directly. No post processing.
This sounds amazing. I'm getting one soon and I'm sure it will sound great with my Roland JC-120.

@k0staZ Yep, cheers djluis49, it's X-Edit, available for free at digitech's website.
