Thank you very much for your sharing. I have a question: how to verify a paper is a research article or a review article? Because some universities require that giving proof of a paper which is a research article or review article but the journal doesn't show it. Is there a system to check it?
I was thinking of writing after literature review as we have to write anyway for comprehensive viva. After experimenting I did find method comparison issues with existing papers. So conclusions aren't always necessarily true, and a critical understanding of the experimental method is important.
1-Purpose Research To share data that u collect and analyze and explain what that data means Review To compile a large amount of research on a very specific topic , include research that maybe u and other people have performed, and u synthesize it what did u really get when u put all these research paper together what comes out of it what should be done next 2- structure Intro Method Results discussion and conclusion It give u information what they done and what are the results and what should u do next Review Introduction Literature story of different research Conclusion what all have done where is basically that particular topic is going to next 3- time frame Research Once u completed all data ,makes Figure , coming up with the story and then working on ur paper Review Need some paper to write
I just started my master by research and I am very confused. I am supposed to do Preliminary Research, maybe it means literature review. I am doing paper reviews i think. Most papers are very different from my given topic but it is on the same general field. for example (Electric cars) . These papers taking totally different sub topic of that. I dont know how to benefit from them and what I am suppose to read and summerise on them. So far I just read abstract and conclusion to get general idea of methodology and result. So when the paper different from my topic I gain nothing from that and the gap is irrelevent. I dont know what I am doing if I am just confused or my approach is wrong
Hi! If you are just starting your research, I wouldn't be trying to write a review paper. Instead, you just need to learn your field and start creating a research idea and plan. Download my 30- Day Research Jumpstart Guide: www.sciencegradschoolcoach.com/30day-research-guide It will give you a 4-week plan to learn your field and develop are novel research idea and plan. I hope it can help set you on the right path!
@@mdismail5461 In the context of this video, yes. Technically, you could call a literature review type paper for a class a research paper, but I am discussing it in the context of papers based on your research that you would submit as research articles.
According to me, writing a review requires more comprehensive knowledge and better understandings over existing gaps in the field. Honesty future research plans are drafted based on literature review. So publishing review paper costs you most in terms of merit, time and outlinining the field with critical emphasis on future research. To me, it's not just about old or young researchers to write a review, it's for those who understands the challenges in the field and can portray or present it better
I agree, it has nothing to do with age in writing a review. My use of young means the time spent in the field. If you have never completed research in that field, it is very difficult to make a publishable review, because you don't have context for the research papers you are writing about.
Hi, I'm senior high student and my teacher didn't teach us what is review paper, so I don't have an idea to explain this questions. Explain why it is important to know who to approach to gather informations in writing review paper? Explain why methods are important in gathering information to write a good review paper? Explain why knowing how to present yourself in front of interviewe is important in gathering information in writing a decent review paper? Can you please explain it to me? 🥺
Hi! Review papers are used in research fields to summarize the research in a field. This video is likely not meant for you if you are still a high school student, because you need to be within a research field.

Does our review paper does matter in PhD position like...... Does it make impact or not in front of committee for our PhD admission... I'm From India
Great video!!

@@SciGradCoach yes this is also true... So in any way a review requires deep knowledge in the field
I would more say a great review will come from someone with practical experience in the area vs. the most knowledge.
What should i believe review ppr or research ppr, i mean suppose if i wanna know about a new kind of vaccine???
