- A new video review for the channel with Proxxon tools. This is not a paid endorsement or an advertisement.
I am a fan of the brand and in this video I review some samples from a company I admire.
Full Disclosure: Proxxon supplied the samples and I thank them for working with Scale War Machines.
In this film, I look at the Proxxon Micromot 60EF mini drill rotary tool (reference 28512) and use it as the basis for a new set-up on the channel to replace my ageing Minicraft tools which I got off Ebay some years ago.
I unbox, review and set up the following items from their extensive range:
Rotary tool
NO 28 512 MICROMOT 60/EF
NO 28 940 (Steel collets for higher runout accuracy)
NO 28 704 NG 5/E (Controller)
Universal Holder
NO 28 610
Universal Vice
NO 28 608
And numerous accessories bits and extras.
I also compare it with some of my Minicraft tools.

Over the the last 12 months I’ve totally updated my modelling tools to Proxxon.
In addition to plastic kits I also build wooden boat kits and this range of tools have certainly taken my modelling achievements and detail to the next level…..and some.
You pay for what you get and for me personally I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Like you I moved from Minicraft to Proxxon however the latter are seriously in another league and when you use their 230v tools you achieve even greater flexibility……it should be said that Minicraft still have their uses in my set up.
Look forward to your next update…..👍
I have this same setup and have been very happy with it. Fantastic little tools
Their foot switch is increadably useful for the drill setup. Set the speed first then tap the siwtch when ready.
great content!
after my 4rth Dremel bit the dust I switched to Proxxon, never looked back.
Well done on getting the controller version, I have the 220W version and ut heats up and has given me some grief.
Regarding ass I will say that Dremel has the edge sometimes, possibly due to the Bosch connection the re able to cone out with some excellent tools.
With the controller can the RPM's on the mini-drill be dialed down so low that it actually cuts through the plastic of a model instead of burning through it?
Yep absolutely. It can be throttled right down and is infinitely variable with that controller. It can go real slow.
@@scalewarmachines Ok, thanks. I'm going to get one.
Proxxon are excellent, I didn't realise that they did socket sets. The great brands that I used to use, GB and Japanese are either no longer with us or have faced to the bottom with CCP manufactured products (with the exception of Sykes-Pickavant).
Just another infomercial. If they supply the goods, then, yes it is a commercial.
Yes that’s why car magazines and Top Gear buy every single car they review.
@@scalewarmachines I don't trust them no more than I do you. Plus you said it wasn't a commercial. BS.
Editorial automony says hi.
