Love the video and really helping me make my decision for our new van. We are leaning towards the Jaco Journey Outback 19.6 rear door as we prefer this configuration. Thanks again
We have a 2021 base and have pounded it. They are brilliant. Service has been awesome and any small issues fixed without question. The tap is not an issue for us. I would be staying well clear of Jayco, friends with them have many issues and certainly not dust proof. We came down to titanium and zone. Both are great
We bought the 19ft Peregrine. Van is awesome, customer service absolutely stinks. They have moved mountains to push sales, but once you pay the money, you're completely ignored.
That’s a shame about the service. Titanium appears the only one with a good after sales reputation- then again if it’s good you shouldn’t need to talk much?
Great episode guys. We are looking at Zone too. Seem to be a top notch manufacturer notwithstanding some issues being raised on the FB page by some owners. Any chance of a video on the drone for us newbies considering getting one for our travels?
Drone - I’ll put it on the list, lots of fun, crashed it twice…. Zone - very hard to go past from everything I’ve learnt about vans. I think all FB pages will have people with issues of some sort. Good luck and thanks for commenting!
@@Chance_It_Oz the peregrine, looks the go to me. I’m a little disappointed with the new front box and the diesel hot water - why they are going that way I don’t know?
Happy wife happy life go with the zone mate you said it yourself quality next level Silverlines are not anywhere near a Zone I know because I had one before my base zone that I have now
We have a Zone Base 20’6 not a year old yet. We have had no issues at all. When we want to ask Zone anything we have emailed and get a response within hours. They definitely have had a communication problem for sure.
We saw the Cub at the caravan show in Sydney - it had a few excellent features like the floor in the shower and the automatic lighting - looked impressive - I’ll go back and look at the video from that show and comment further.
Another great review New vs 2nd hand was starting to confuse us too Given the way quality vans hold their price we just dropped a deposit on a new Masterpiece And are confident it will give us good resale Now all we have to do is wait for it to be built (we don’t need it for 18 months ) We had Sunseeker/Titanium on our shortlist and possibly Lotus, but loved the passion and standard features that were extra on other vans that the team and vans at Masterpiece offered Look forward to maybe catching up on the road one day👍
Jump onto wiki camps, it's excellent and the owner is more than helpful. Deauville Downs - located in Laurieton on the mid north coast of NSW - his contact details are there. 😀
Great Vid. We did the same as yourself`s , But taking it all in.... after sales service and checking the top four of your choices sites for ! i hate to say it ,negative feedback. We choose Titanium.
It’s probably the best system I’ve had on any car - from Torqit - twin 3” into single 4” with centre muffler - www.torqit.com.au/product/4-single-exit-exhaust-hs8133ss-380/ You can get it with or without a muffler. No drone at all just a nice V8 note, sounds good under load and nothing to mention really on the freeway. Got a great bargain at the 4x4 show in Sydney 2 years ago ($500) off.
Thought, we purchased a jayco journey outback, and here are the reasons. Tare weight 1910 kg = 590 kg load. twin axle low ball weight and stability 148 kg ball weight. Pop Top better fuel less weight. Full Ensuite. Aussie Made. 150 service points across Australia. Finally price..... After much research the things that really matter, is weight, ATM. GVM and GCM, the jayco met these requirements, we are still 300kg under fully loaded, not other brand could match this.... Weight is the biggest limitation, be overweight anywhere, and you have no insurance, and can cop hefty fines.
Oh my gosh.just spent 2 weeks going to Uluṟu and up to kings canyon. Sooooooo many Silverline vans. They must be good and well liked for there to be so many on the road! They’re a nice van for sure but I totally agree about the interior…..why can’t they update their interiors?🤔
The Silverline isn’t quite at the standard of the others but it is appealing - they are heading toward 110K now so at that price point they are close to other better ones. 50% of van sales are Jayco so we will keep seeing a lot of them. Thanks for watching and commenting! Take care.
All great brands they are - none for rent however and they are a good 80k too much for us unfortunately. They are also pretty standard construction vans but you can have exactly what you design and ask for which is great - I’ll keep saving!
I agree they seem a good quality van but inside they are very bland. If you could have colour schemes inside that would be better as they do look a bit sterile. We have a near new Lotus they are a great van too.
Some interesting points, but uninformed statements as well. You clearly have not considered some better appointed vans when you were talking about GPOs. I suggest more research is needed before making some comments about which you clearly have no knowledge
Excellent - being informed requires information - please feel free to share some that will help others regarding “better equipped vans” and “GPOs”, we can all learn something.
I’m a bit perplexed as to why you would suggest more research is needed. The comment about GPOs is straight forward and aligns with our experience… i.e. the same GPOs should be capable of supplying shore or ship power. The caravan tested is a few years old and some newer models have this capacity.
OMG White Cliffs is one of my favourite places.
Awesome review and love your humour.
Thanx

Epic place.

Cheers! I love the rear door too - make sure you’ve got good big mud flaps. The new All Terrain Jayco has looks good also - the off grid pack one.

Just 1 question what is the price difference between the Jayco Silverline and the Zone.
Depends what options you take, 30-40k difference really

I priced one of these by the time I added a few essentials items it was 180K jut waaay out of what I consider to be reasonable,
