Chad Gable is the next Kurt.
This is the hilarious part. I remember Kurt's WWE debut. And the fans started booing during the match and I remember Kurt getting on the mic, antagonizing them. So Kurt is right. If Gabe and Shawn Michaels embrace it and go with it, it might work. The crowd literally did what they did to Angle, so many years ago. They palyed exactly like marks.

What sparked the fire for Kurt was his match against Taz. Someone who made a name for themselves outside of WWF.. Then not too long after he was placed in the top tier alongside Rock HHH Y2J etc. There was no nxt 😂 so the excitement for who hed tangle up with was through the roof. He had to prove himself up against guys who were already legends in their own right
Gable definitely entertained the fans after his wins in college with his interviews and backflips
Thats because the real wrestling Dan's appreciate his greatness, unlike WWE "wrestling fans".
Angle is humble. When he started, with no experience, he already was AMAZING. NO ONE has such a start like Kurt.

@princezane148 that's not true. Kurt wasn't even considered the best wrestler of his time. Guys like a bruce Baumgartner, kendall cross and Tom Brands had better wrestling careers than him. I'm talking about real wrestling. Might want to do some research on that. Gable was one of the youngest Olympic gold medalists. The guy could go on to win multiple gold and world gold bur he decided to take the WWE route. I swear WWE fans don't appreciate talent and greatness. Yall don't deserve him

Kurt was a machine in the ring BUT he also had genuine charisma that suited the WWE.

WWE should have brought Kurt Angle in as Gable Steveson's advisor/manager. It could have been a progression and Kurt could have helped get Gable Steveson over with the fans. Kurt is great on the mic. It's still not too late to do this.🥇

What I can see is Gabe becoming a heel and being the "anti" Kurt Angle saying how he was better than him, etc. Maybe even joining the Alpha Academy at some point, but much like how The Rock eventually stole control of The Nation from Farrooq, Gabe can steal control of the Alpha Academy from Chad Gable creating a feud with some awesome matches between the two.
It would give Chad Gable a decent angle to work with for a change, but it would give him the opportunity to help bring Gabe along and teach him the ropes to get him ready for bigger things later on.

Knowing WWE, they likely forget that Kurt was a heel during the majority of his WWE career hence the whole "you suck" chants. Ditto for Dwayne Johnson. Worst case scenario they might give Gable the Roman Reigns treatment in trying to force him as a babyface. Though thankfully it's doubt Gable's booking is going to be anywhere as bad as Roman's booking ala he wins everyone.
