Thanks for posting about Xu Xin. I am a great fan of XX, and I play also left hand and pen hold, so every news about him is precious for me, to learn. Not many pen holder players around, not where I live, anyway (Italy)
Because than it’s difficult for the opponent to return the serve short and low. So if the return is to high or to long you can attack the third ball and win the point.
When the ball turns in the last moment, an inexperienced opponent will miss the ball. This will have psychological impact on the opponent and will fear and service variations. I won a game from 4-10 down with that technique
Im still sad that XX will not get a shot at olympic singles. Although not as strong as ML or FZD i still believe that he still has a winning chance. Waiting another 4 years is unlikely as by that time age will already catch up to him. This might as well be his last chance at olympic :((
It is to stabilize the knee. Often use, when you got a little knee pain. It has a similar effect like some bodybuilders or heavy lifters are using. but with more flexibility, so that you dont loose flexibility and speed.
Actually he did 2 Errors within 10 backhand topspin attemps. The didn't hit the second ball he was playing. I know it does not change the point but just to make it clear I will mention it.
It's called topspin if the ball is spinning forward. A back spin is when the ball is spinning backward. It doesn't matter if you hit it with your forehand or backhand.
He's teaching Fan Zhendong. Fan's backhand has been his best weapon, and I believe Wang's coaching contributed to this. Xu Xin is aged as an athlete, especially compared to Fan, so his playing style is also harder to change at this point.
@@buttxrontoast-7100For me Xu Xin has been the saviour of the penhold grip. There are a few next gen penholders coming through with a chance to make their mark. It is a pity he did not have Wang Ho's great RPB. But XX's forehand loop is special.
@Nike Crean oh please. Wang hao has retired 7 years ago, and people still enjoy watching his gameplay. Even until now, there are still constant news abt him, his family, his life as a coach, etc. Even though he is retired, he is still well known. And he is not the past, so how is xu xin? Besides, if i was cap, then i would have not been here.
3:06 with a penhold grip aswell, what a madman

Amazing video with an amazing content!! Like always, got to learn something new. Thank you Coach ❤
2:20. Coach, why should you add more sidespin to the serve?
Can you explain it please?

1:30 why XX does open his fingers (thumb and index) for cutting? Then, closed them to the backhand?
3:32 just like the one i found in Ti-Long's Channel

What is rubber for rpb?
I have a question. Some people calls a backhand topspin "backspin". So a forehand topspin is called "forespin"? 🤔
It's called topspin if the ball is spinning forward. A back spin is when the ball is spinning backward. It doesn't matter if you hit it with your forehand or backhand.
@@enter_username1312 oh then i guess those who call backhand topspin a "backspin" are from another universe. 🤔
@@johnwellstewartespiso3690 lol they sure are

May any one knows whether Xu Xin recently using Carbonado 190 or the Dynasty Carbon?

He is getting old. Harder to do the forehand pivot from backhand side
First comment yay
