Ah yes, the creative urge to hoard materials just in case you might need it. 😅I still have boxes of material scraps that I haven't used in years, but it's oh so satisfying whenever there actually is an opportunity to use some of those supplies.
now that i emotionally resonated with ur romanticization video, I now feel the urge to follow n watch n like all ur stuff and this is powerful. Now, im also a poor artist, so i dont know how useful my support is compared to someone who might be ready to throw down on a ton of your merch, but i wonder how you can emotionally resonate with people who ARE ready to do that, or might be soon. how do artists emotionally connect with non-artists?
@@DeeAreDee I think any kind of support is helpful, even if you’re not directly buying my art! Knowing people are watching my videos and vlogs motivates me to keep making them, and I rely a lot on income from TH-cam. So something as simple as putting my video on in the background is a huge help ❤️ I feel connected with a lot of my audience, through comment sections, supportive comments, or meeting them in my discord. Whether they’re a buyer or my art or not, I feel connected to everyone here! I think I can personally emotionally connect with non-artists if they just enjoy my art and watching the process of making it, or if they like to watch my vlogs and video essays for entertainment. But I’m sure other artists have different thoughts on this too!
The urge to constantly reorganize is very real
