People are just tired of Mahomes cheating. He flopped like a wrestling heel on that play after deliberately waiting in the contact. And to then get a flag? It's just too much, and it puts every single QB in the NFL in more danger as defenders no longer trust them to be sporting. Might as well flatten them with a spear tackle if you're getting roughing flags or get gashed for an extra five or ten yards by the cheaters whatever you do. It makes football aggravating to watch rather than fun. Faking a slide or running out of bounds like Mahomes does consistently should be a 15 yard penalty the other way. Every time.

and there was no second' roughing the passer' penalty, it was unnecessary roughness and all qb's are protected by the refs when they slide because they don't want the stars getting injured. If I am paying a guy 50 MILLION dollars a year to win games he damn well better be doing everything he can to win games, including flopping, crying, whatever it takes to gain an advantage. These morons think that a player shouldn't take advantage of the rules that the league has set. If the NFL doesn't like it, change the rules. Can you imagine a scenario where after a loss the QB tells the coaches "Yea, I could have flopped a little and drawn a penalty that would have kept a drive alive but the TH-camr's don't like it so i didn't do it."

    1. There was obvious helmet to helmet contact on both RTP calls.

I know Try Aikman almost had an aneurysm pop bitching about it, but the most I saw the RTP call on Will Anderson the most I thought "I mean, you can not like the call, but there is more than enough contact to the head there to call it, particularly watching it on real time"
And the other one, even if less clear, is quite similar: from the refs perspective is not one but two guys following through on a sliding QB... and they did had helmet to helmet contact, even if slight.

Ah well, still pretty impressive we made it this far with so many injuries on defense but I wanted to believe they could have gone all the way in spite of that. Instead we'll be left wondering what could have been because that Lions team from like weeks 3-12 looked head and shoulders above every other team in the league
a lot of our key players will still be returning next year and surely we won't be so unlucky with injuries, but we'll have to wait to see how everything else shakes out especially with the coordinators.

Have you actually looked at the NFL rules? If a players helmet hits the QB’s helmet or face mask, the refs are going to call RP. The two Texans who collided with each other, above Mahomes, in real time(not in slow motion) it’s going to be called. Especially when the sound of the helmets colliding. For all the fans whose teams have been eliminated, I get it…blaming the refs is cathartic. It’s a lazy, but an effective way to justify why your team couldn’t play better than the refs occasional bad calls. Depending on the refs is like depending on a hot girl to ask you out

Bullshit. It was a late hit on Goff, but not on the Eagles fanchise moose. He just failed to slide because he's an idiot. If you're outside the pocket with the ball and you don't slide you are a runner and can be legally hit like a runner. That wasn't even a penalty. instead of sliding, Hurts barged into a rather large man named Bobby Wagner to get some pointless extra yards. If you do that you deserve to get hit really hard. And he was. L2P noobs is all I have to say to bitter Eagholes fans.

The Chiefs fans get defensive because you always present it as a "Mahomes" problem. Then you come in with 3 seconds of "Oh yeah, sure, Allen does it too," but you only talk about the greater issue for Chiefs games and Mahomes. I just saw Hurts slide in the Eagles game and look for a flag, and I guarantee you that point will not come up in your Eagles/Rams breakdown later. I will not engage with rules talk until you do a whole segment and analyze every fucking quarterback in the NFL.
