I have thought of gender dysphoria sometimes but I realized now it may be driven by my cultural and biological basis. Because I'm autistic I have great difficulty in social interactions, I can't do sports (don't like sports), and I can't drive properly (it takes a while for me). In the past sometimes people referring I'm not masculine because I don't do what typical boys do, it sometimes causes shame and guilt. My hope is that any Muslim who feels similar reflects this way, I know it can be hard but think again, it wasn't your fault, it's just your biology, it's fine, you're more than just your gender. Be grateful for the gender Allah has given to you.

We have one US female politician who fits the characteristics of the politicians you mentioned, Ilhan Omar. There might be more. You mentioned that we must warn our children and youth that they should not take our akhlaq (morals) from them. With due respect, I must say, this is an ambiguous stand. It obscures more than what it clarifies. Please tell me how are our youth going to navigate through this complex burden of whom to follow and how much to follow, when, on the one hand, we have media outlets endorsing such politicians and projecting them as role models, and on the other, Muslim organization inviting those politicians in the Islamic events who openly support fahisha, and contradict unambiguous stand of Quran. Furthermore, they are endorsed and even praised by Muslim scholars. Why our Muslim scholars and Imams (you included) are not condemning, without ambiguity, those politicians who support one of the most animalistic human behaviours? May Allaah protect him from the repercussions of this. That said, he's partly to blame for not taking a firmer stance on this issue years ago and for attacking those who did and calling them extremist and fringe. I also wish he pointed out the fact that being proud of sin or approving of it constitutes riddah. Many Muslims don't know this, unfortunately. It should be made very clear that Muslims are not Muslim anymore if they approve of sin knowingly.
Dr. Qadhi still cannot talk about how to deal with Muslim politician's doing/saying/supporting things that is contrary to what Allah expects from us. This is very bizarre. Even after so much criticism he cannot answer this. How difficult is the answer is to answer this you think? That politician should be consulted privately ar first and then publicly denounced for the things she is doing. Every scholar should make it clear to the Muslims that she is not someone the Muslim's should look upto. But instead she is sharing stage with other scholars and this is giving a very wrong message to the ummah. I have tremendous respect for Dr. Qadhi, but he has a responsibility to the ummah and he should clarify things for the sake of Allah. A lot of people have benefitted from him in the past, including brother Daniel as he mentioned in one of his video. This is not a matter of Daniel vs. Qadhi, rather this is a matter of distinguishing right from wrong as clearly as possible. So do not try to show as if it is a fight between two people.
Daniel acknowledges that Dr. YQ says homosexuality is haram. What brother Daniel is criticizing Dr. Yasir Qadhi for is taking LGBT activists as our allies. YQ has told his viewers to not oppose LGBT rights and to stand down. Our Imams and Scholars should instead be telling Muslims to protest against these changes but YQ doesn't say this because it will hurt his political and social justice friends.

Alhamdulillah, May Allah reward you for your efforts. I have been witness to a close friend who is transgendered, and it is real. Born in the body of one gender and deep inside is actually the other gender. Hidden for decades, acting the part of their physical gender to not be found out by family and friends. This person was aware of this at a very young age. When revealed to me, and felt safe to be themselves, their personality changed in a beautiful and profound way. There is no denying this in my opinion. I believe the soul may carry our innate gender and sometimes the external genitalia differ…and only Allah knows.

This is a political stance that I have to agree with to give rights to the LGBTQ community although morally i don't endorse the same.

You can see that even at the end of the video, Sheikj Yasir qadhi could not give a clear answer to what to do about deviant politicians and it is not a small think brother. Other than that I whole heartedly agree with what the Sheikh said. Politicians, especially of a powerful country like USA has a huge platform. They can spread misconception about Islam much easily that any Sheikh or Ulama can. So, please refrain yourself in future labelling people a follower or him or her. The concept the Transgender advocates believe in is called the Performative Theory of Gender, as the good Shaykh said. I personally subscribe to the Derivative Theory of Gender, which is that Gender is a derivation of Sex, not something that varies independent. I argue this theory is more descriptive of human behavior, versus the Derivative Theory, which has become prescriptive. Muslims can be politically against anything that's haram but ultimately it will have no effect on policy, so we have to tolerate haram when it's conducted by non-Muslims.
I just have one small correction. The father in Canada was jailed because he repeatedly violated a court order not to speak about his daughter's cases publicly. It was supposed to be confidential and he violated that.

This is not a matter of Daniel vs. Qadhi, rather this is a matter of distinguishing right from wrong as clearly as possible. So do not try to show as if it is a fight between two people.
Daniel acknowledges that Dr. YQ says homosexuality is haram. What brother Daniel is criticizing Dr. Yasir Qadhi for is taking LGBT activists as our allies. YQ has told his viewers to not oppose LGBT rights and to stand down. Our Imams and Scholars should instead be telling Muslims to protest against these changes but YQ doesn't say this because it will hurt his political and social justice friends.

Alhamdulillah, May Allah reward you for your efforts. I have been witness to a close friend who is transgendered, and it is real. Born in the body of one gender and deep inside is actually the other gender. Hidden for decades, acting the part of their physical gender to not be found out by family and friends. This person was aware of this at a very young age. When revealed to me, and felt safe to be themselves, their personality changed in a beautiful and profound way. There is no denying this in my opinion. I believe the soul may carry our innate gender and sometimes the external genitalia differ…and only Allah knows.

This has always been his position tho. Problem is some listeners keep mixing up political compromise and religious compromise, and they don't try to understand the difference. So I'm worried if Shaykh brings up the political compromise part again, will those people go back to labeling him a sell-out again?
@@Journey-To-Eternity This is absolutely correct, me living in India, i cannot challenge the supreme court ruling on same sex marriage and need to follow the law of the land to have my religious freedom. This is a political stance that I have to agree with to give rights to the LGBTQ community although morally i don't endorse the same.

Listen brother. Do not label people just because they agree with someone who appears to be speaking logically to them. What brother Daniel has been saying is logical. You can see that even at the end of the video, Sheikj Yasir qadhi could not give a clear answer to what to do about deviant politicians and it is not a small think brother. Other than that I whole heartedly agree with what the Sheikh said. Politicians, especially of a powerful country like USA has a huge platform. They can spread misconception about Islam much easily that any Sheikh or Ulama can. So, please refrain yourself in future labelling people a follower or him or her. Dr. Yasir has a huge following, including myself. And at some point I hope he and the others will have a clear answer to the topic of what to do in regard to the last part of the discussion.

It is our right to educate our children with islamic morals, because that is what the hullabaloo is, our children. Lgbtq is coming for our children, they have declared open their agenda. We should protect our youth, our children and our communities. A lot of Christians are into this fight too. They are making an affront to the lgbtq community too. May God guide and protect our families, our communities and all who are on this straight path

Proves how you are in the middle path which is exactly how every Muslim should be since Allah made as a middle nation (Quran 2:143).
The concept the Transgender advocates believe in is called the Performative Theory of Gender, as the good Shaykh said.
I personally subscribe to the Derivative Theory of Gender, which is that Gender is a derivation of Sex, not something that varies independent. I argue this theory is more descriptive of human behavior, versus the Derivative Theory, which has become prescriptive.

I just have one small correction. The father in Canada was jailed because he repeatedly violated a court order not to speak about his daughter's cases publicly. It was supposed to be confidential and he violated that.
Jail a father for 6 months for doing what he thought he had to do in order to protect his child...
