    I've had this tool for years. I figured out adjusting the depth of a cut on my own, but did not know I can adjust the length too. Fordham informative thank you for this video. Excellent!

    I purchased this and spent an hour trying to make proper cuts with a scrap piece of coax. Finally searched TH-cam for a good explanation. The blade that cuts the outer sleeve was the problem. Thank you!

    Thank you for this video. I bought 4 of these from China and they came without an instruction manual. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the blade spacing as advertised, so I thought it's impossible. Turns out, it's not! This is very useful.

    How do I determine which length I need when setting the blades (A,B,C,D,E)? Does this relate to the type or cable, or type of connector, or both? And BTW did you mention that those blades are pretty sharp?

    Ah.. I have just read that the foil firmly stuck to the inner polythene of some RG6 and near-impossible to remove, is actually non-conductive, so can be left in place. I'm going to check with meter.

    Great video. How do the letters for blade placement correspond with the mm measurements on the tool? For RG-59 and RG-6 should it be set at 6 or 8 for a compression fitting? Thanks.

    Good stuff. But in the ancient cable I want to use, the inner polythene is firmly stuck to a very thick foil layer. Near impossible to remove foil without munching up the poly. Maybe the tool could do it, not sure. Should've gone to CableWholesale!

    I purchased a crimper kit. Comes with the same stripper. I wanted to strip RG8X and the stripper doesn't show that it will strip the x8. Ive seen utube videos that they are stripping the 8x. What adjustment are they making. Thanks for any help

    • @Budro4764
      @Budro4764 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      8X and 59 are almost exactly the same. The adjustments should take of that, I was going to comment on the RG 400 that I use , it's almost exactly the same as 58 .... I'll try it it's only 10 bux for the tool.... BTW I quit using 8X years ago.... Only RG 400 for me and my customers, not the LMR 400 though, it's almost as bad as the 8X ....

    Does anyone know how to interpret the arrow that tell you the cable size is set for?. That arrow is...in the middle of nowhere. Looking at the arrow does not tell me sh.t. Just confusing at best.

    • @chaudang1016
      @chaudang1016 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see, I must have a bad tool. The arrow on my tool is in the middle of 2 numbers. The arrow on his tool is right on the number. D.a.m.n must be made in China as we all know!

    • @CablewholesaleInc
      @CablewholesaleInc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mo Atwan. Thank you for reaching out and asking about our coax cable stripper. This stripper tool is designed to work with coaxial cable. The two-blade design isn't recommended for use with ethernet cables. We do carry a cable stripper designed specifically for ethernet cable. More info on this is listed below:
      Part Number: 15015C
      Description: Platinum Tools Cat5/6 Cable Jacket Stripper, Clamshell
      More Info: www.cablewholesale.com/specs/15015c.php
      Thanks again for reaching out. We hope you found this response helpful.
