Also, I notice a lot of people in TT brake way too late to try and keep speed as long as possible. I've found that braking earlier, keeping your momentum up, and thus getting better traction makes you a lot faster. You don't want to be hitting the brakes super late unless you are trying to overtake in a race. You scrub off too much speed, risk a lock up, and get poor traction from trying to gun it at such a low speed.
If you want to learn to play without traction, turn it off, or you will never learn Just be more accurate on the throttle and upshift early when exiting the corner to avoid wheelspin
Thanks for this! Could easily have been a clickbaity video with that title, but this was great. I'm not a serious sim racer or anything but I do play long F1 careers and such and I have been cranking my fuel mix to rich before lights out since that became an option in these games. Ive always struggled with starts a bit and I'm super excited to try this out and see if it can yield any improvement. The look back lens refresh during the wet is awesome too. Had no idea about a lot of these. Thanks!
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO USES A CLUTCH PEDAL AS A BRAKE! I find it waaaaay easier to push down and my legs dont hit each other bc i move around alot
I'm dumb for not figuring out the manual gear MFD shortcut one: I've been unable to concentrate on fuel, ers and gears at the same time on controller. Great job.
I guess where you put almost the entire car off the track where there's run off, keeping just enough (part of 1 wheel) within the track limits, so you can carry more speed through the corner
Am new to f1 2020 and I don’t know how to use the hold clutch method at the start of the race I play on controller and the setting to hold clutch doesn’t pop up

He displayed himself doing it in game which is arguably the better strat since pictures/videos help you retain knowledge because you hear it and see it from the perspective that you would be doing it in.
I cant overtake on straights, I dont know whats wrong, I plan on 80 difficulty and win most of my races in career but I gain most of my times through corners and can only really match pace on a straight, I have traction control turned off so I dont know what else to do?
@@braylon6496 That's ok, still useful! In that 6 months, I joined a league, watched a lot of e-sports content, bought a Skip Barber 'Going Faster' manual and learned an absolute ton about how to work out the best line. Nice wee reminder of the progress I've made since watching this.
Use whatever you’re most comfortable with, if you run traction control it should be easier to control wheel spin therefore running rich would be beneficial
@@iContrast Okay, I tried to play with no ABS but I lock up way to much, I'm starting with lowering my Traction Control (I'm now playing on Medium) and I already see that I can be so so much faster. after I mastered Traction control to off, I will go and try to learn how to drive with manually shifting and after that without ABS.
