That looked like he was dropping his hand position at the start of the downswing to almost have it laid off s bit to flatten it out. Am i over reading something?
@@garylowry7731 no your not and thanks for the comment. Every downswing will always need a downward and outward movement of the hands. There is still massive debate amongst the bio mechanics folks about how much of that should be done thru bodies rotation or independent movement of the arms. In terms of moving down early to flatten you are seeing something there. Max like many of players use a lot of rotation in their swings. When a player uses rotation the shaft must be flattening in transition or the player will get the club to far out in front of them. So yes you see an early flattening. Now the final piece to the puzzle. The outward movement of the hands early is what makes the shaft lay down. I have a couple videos on this floating around but outward force on the handle will promote the shaft to fall behind the hands and a downward force will generally cause it to steepen. Excellent comment and welcome them anytime!!
💯💯💯. This drill is arguably most helpful with driver. Obviously you will be positioned farther away from the ball so the sticks will be at a flatter angle. But it will still force you into a position of good depth.

How do you set the stick in the right position?
You start it just outside of ball line. Then you want it leaning into a position that forces your arms across shoulder line.
Any similarities with driver? I come down steep and often hit the ground fat before the ball

Did you tie two sticks together
@@brettskinner5895 correct they are tapped together. Yet to find a better alternative
