What’s amazing about her new song is that I first heard it in the car while a panic attack was coming upon me. It calmed me and relaxed me. It reminded me how God was in control and thank God I had him in my life.
I have had 43 surgeries. I was in the military and like many others suffer with PTSD. I spent the last year bedridden form several spine surgeries that did not help and then was diagnosed with cancer. I was contemplating my end coming in a number of months. Friends and family gave me support. Even my doctors, nurses and hospital staff were so caring. I went through another major surgery for cancer. Over the last year I have listened to Lauren and her songs have given me strength at times when I needed it most. God has blessed me as I was told that the last surgery was successful and I only need surveillance for the next 5 years. It makes you realize what is important in life. I have the time to come closer to God, my family and friends. All the little things that bother people on a daily are meaningless when you are facing your own mortality. God bless you.

Everytime I hear her music it causes my anxiety to be majorly reduced. Sometimes all together. I don't even understand it at times. How it has that impact. She is truly something special and that voice stole this mans heart.

As a Jewish woman, I never thought I’d connect with a Christian artist… and then I found Lauren Daigle. What a beautiful light of a human. A lot of her music references God rather than Jesus, which makes it relatable and universal. I appreciate her so much.

As Lauren said, this song is multi layered. It gives thanks to God for her friend. But it easy to see it as describing God's goodness. I'd avoid analyzing it theologically like a sermon, which it isn't. But there are more than a few things to take away from it. - Getting hope - Remembering God is around - Letting friends in when you are troubled - Lastly how you can be that type of amazing friend...sharing a person's hurt and mess,, being their "saving grace", being open to being used by God in that fashion. Are you praying and training yourself to be that type of friend, so that when you are needed, you see it and are ready. So sad that there are people trying to convince others this isn't "Christian" enough. Those people are like the ones Paul speaks about in Roman's who care about the Law more than people.

Did anyone else notice the subtle, yet not-so-subtle, power play that happened at 9:57? Lauren's story was powerful enough on its own. Why did the interviewer have to make a joke out of it and bring Beyonce into it? It's actually degrading her story and the power in it. God was moving through that story and the interviewer ruined it. He said "We have amped up this song a lot now. We really amped this thing up." Is that really the point of interviews? Lauren is an amazing musician who channels God into her music. She is adored by many, many people. She did not need this interview, this radio station needs HER. PLEASE respect your artists and the people you interview by not undermining their authenticity and the truth of their stories and words.

I really struggle with Lauren daigle... If she were a secular artist hands down she would be fantastic. But it just seems like the world's fame has gotten a hold of her and she's getting farther and farther away from giving glory to Christ. Her explanation of who this song is to tells me that it should not be on Christian radio. I'm glad that she is successful but her earlier christ-centered songs were so much more powerful than this watered down "God loves everyone no matter what" music is not the true gospel that we need to be sharing. You may disagree with this but she had so much potential to be a vessel for the true Christ
One more thought..."the phrase (which nonbelievers use inappropriately quite often "Thank God" can be seen as using his name again if you are not really thanking God for anything.
I'm 100% with you on all of this. I love listening to her music, but this interview has been popping into my head every few days since I watched it. This song is so CLEARLY about Jesus, including all the biblical language we use to talk about God (keep me in your hands, you're my constant, etc). Yet, she's saying it's about a lady on an airplane. In my mind, there are two options: a) It's about Jesus and she doesn't even know it, which makes me concerned for her faith b) It's about Jesus and she's pretending it's not, which makes me concerned for her faith The idea that it's about a lady on an airplane is just so implausible. Imagine meeting someone once and then being like "You're my constant, my steadiness. You're my shelter, my oxygen". That's just nonsensical and creepy.

It is clear to me who she is singing about! There is, admittedly, a bit of double entendre here. The woke, liberal pop music world may not like to hear this! But she is singing about a personal relationship with our Savior, Lord Jesus! It is the love of Jesus that sustains us, especially in a time of anxiety. His love sustains us and is a beacon of light to the world. Lauren Daigle should not be hiding behind a dual meaning.

Christian radio stations need to stop playing her music she doesn’t want to be called a Christian artist she also needs to youve back her awards with christian categories specially because she sad she couldnt speak on if being gay was wrong.

I really struggle with Lauren daigle... If she were a secular artist hands down she would be fantastic. But it just seems like the world's fame has gotten a hold of her and she's getting farther and farther away from giving glory to Christ. Her explanation of who this song is to tells me that it should not be on Christian radio. I'm glad that she is successful but her earlier christ-centered songs were so much more powerful than this watered down "God loves everyone no matter what" music is not the true gospel that we need to be sharing. You may disagree with this but she had so much potential to be a vessel for the true Christ
One more thought..."the phrase (which nonbelievers use inappropriately quite often "Thank God" can be seen as using his name again if you are not really thanking God for anything.
I'm 100% with you on all of this. I love listening to her music, but this interview has been popping into my head every few days since I watched it.
This song is so CLEARLY about Jesus, including all the biblical language we use to talk about God (keep me in your hands, you're my constant, etc). Yet, she's saying it's about a lady on an airplane. In my mind, there are two options:
a) It's about Jesus and she doesn't even know it, which makes me concerned for her faith
b) It's about Jesus and she's pretending it's not, which makes me concerned for her faith
The idea that it's about a lady on an airplane is just so implausible. Imagine meeting someone once and then being like "You're my constant, my steadiness. You're my shelter, my oxygen". That's just nonsensical and creepy.
She can never speak the name Jesus and give back the credit to the Lord on any of her interviews
