I agree that we should avoid social media. Lauren has the clear mission to reach out to the broken and lost in the world. Her music invites non believers into a dialogue about Lauren’s relationship with God in a way that is disguised as a secular love relationship. Non believers can feel a way to accept the message without having to concede that they are outside our “club” of faith. The hope is once they accept the message they can choose freely to see a path to salvation. I think no one does it better than Lauren. Who would we be if we didn’t know her?
Unfortunately I’m seeing things that I genuinely hope won’t crush her. There are websites publishing articles about her that are less than flattering and I just hope she can ignore these people. From my vantage point, it’s gossip.

I haven’t seen anything so that’s why I am regarding these articles as gossip. My advice to people would be if you don’t like the album or her don’t listen. It’s that simple. Don’t listen if you don’t like her. But making up stuff about her, and even if this stuff is true, it doesn’t matter. I don’t think people should be spying on where she’s going or who she’s hanging out with, and the other article could be considered slander against the person that writes with her. Her biggest hits are written with Jason Ingram, a worship leader, and very well-known songwriter and Christian music. He’s not lgbtq. I feel sad for her honestly. Well, God doesn't use music to save the broken world The Gospel message and preachers/evangelist is who He uses. My fear for Lauren is that she would be usurped by the world influence.

I grew up in Vicksburg , Ms and plugged Nashville songwriters in Beverly Hills back in the 80's so your creative team and process is real interesting to me. And, like mentioned, she has an entire song named Kaleidoscope Jesus. She isn't a perfect Christian, no one is, but she's also not a teacher or preacher. She's a musician. And she's doing a lot more for the kingdom of God than the vaaaast majority of musicians. I feel like Christians are quick to put down other Christians... And I'm not talking about calling out bad teaching at the pulpit.. That should be done. But just simply other Christians... People are so quick to point out where they're going wrong. There were like 10k people at her concert hearing about Jesus... Have you spoken to that many? And that was only one stop in her tour. Really.. Unless someone is making egregious mistakes or straight up teaching incorrectly, we should encourage them.

you should have heard her interview on Apple Music, which is also here on youtube. She kept using phrases I'm completely unfamiliar with that felt completely like substitutes for "God led me", "God created me for such and such". I'm not saying she doesn't say Jesus Christ... I'm saying she didn't mention one word in 45 minutes about God, any kind of God. It was weird. It's almost like she has two different kinds of interviews prepared... one for secular, interviewer, one for Christian interviewer, and doesn't mix vocabulary from one to the other at all.
