He did exactly that, and I don't think it was something anybody should've been sued over. In this age of digital processing it's easy to show that most tunes echo some prior work, all the way back to Pachelbel.

You know, when I clicked on this I wasn't quite expecting the almost sultry vocals for the verses. But it works surprisingly well. This was a ton of fun. And they should really hit you guys up to use this for the next Ghostbusters film. :D

Very good. The Real Ghostbusters(1986 TV show) kept Ghostbusters-mania alive for another five years. I wonder what Ecto-Cooler tastes like? Elmer Bernstein's music score for the first film was superb and avant-garde.

Honestly, if they ever do the sequel, they should use this as a worthy homage to Ray Parker's perfect original.
There have already been multiple sequels and reboots of _Ghostbusters_ .
Parker did a good job…but it’s not actually original. One listen of Huey Lewis “I want a new drug” will dispel the originality theory.
