this is so true. The way I like to play is to start with a old underpowered tractor and a small old farm and build my way up to big farming. Literally impossible to do this in 24. There's one old tractor and then it's straight to very modern large scale stuff

Plus, you can just lease the equipment, which is the correct and realistic way to do it when starting out. The 420hp valtra can be leased on the cheap, it's literally the perfect large first tractor.
Why does farm sim 25 not have all the farm sim 22 DLCs, features and equipment base game?? No precision farming, no hoses and pumps, not nearly as much equipment? And im not talking just mods, as i know they will come. Giants i think is now taking the modding community for granted, giants seems to have done as little work as possible and is relieing on the modders fix and polish the game for them.
Precision farming was a 2 year contract for a non giants dlc. It came at the end of fs19 and the start of fs22 so the contact could last 2 games. So my best guess is that precision farming will come at the end of 25 so giants can add it to the next game as well.

My reason for creating this video is simple, it's for us to have a discussion. I hope that we can still have a conversation even if we disagree on some or even all the points mentioned. I love farming simulator, but i wish they would quit removing equipment from the prior game! Like the agi and Westfield augers and grain bins from fs22 are no where to be found in 25. The little kinze planter among plenty of others that was a nice stepping stone on moving up in the equipment world. Thanks for this video Spencer!
The thing about fs25 on console as it is now, is that the basis of any farming game, growing a crop and feeding animals is way to basic. There's no knowledge needed for well seasoned players, there is no Chance for anything to go wrong, no decisions to be made that can turn things around with bad weather, wet soil etc. Its to simple for the grown up player base imo. It's not so much about seasons, as a visual, but the lack of depth. Take precision farming and the cropanimal part of realimus's season and mix them together to make the actually agronomy side of the game way better.. Soil types, fertilizer, lime and seed needs, soil moisture and temperature, and lastly different yields around a field should be a Base game option imo.
As a volunteer firefighter i really enjoy the emergency pack update/mod and i find it realistic because a lot of volunteer firefighters are farmers or work on a farm. Sadly enough the mod doesnt have a lot of incidents

FS25 is my first entry to the game The UX is severely lacking in a TON of information, that you have to switch back and sideways to find the information you need, while the screen has huge blank spaces, where that information (on the screen before) could be placed No ability to walk around or examine/interact with a unit in the showroom before deciding >>>ICONS with NO WORDS
Fix build restrictions... Also when adding a fence for sheep farms, allow for a full refund when having to cancel the fence... Because of build restrictions... And allow the fence to go in and around trees. Create a "set blueprint" option for placing buildings, so you can see the placement before confirming the building... And allow a full refund within a set time period if needed to move the building. Allow buildings the option to choose where the input and outputs are, within a close distance of course. Add FLOWERS!!! Why are there no flowers in farming sim? Add flow beds for small farms, add permaculture. More detail on repairs, with option to turn off. Like flat tires, old tires popping under weight... And tire change... - That one's a big ask, but I'd challenge yous. Add more decorative items! Things that you can add around the property that makes the place seem like your own. There should be 100s of fun items, like if I buy a barrel and put two chairs down beside it... I want to add 2 beer cans. I want the map to tell a story. I play my server with my bros and we are on almost everyday. We love the game, but there is alot of basic things that should have been added, and I think Giants rely abit to heavy on the modding community to put extra meat on the bone... Some of what I mentioned above shouldn't take a mod... Definitely add more items... And I'm not gonna talk about pallets getting stuck in the ground.
Imagine what could FS be if it was Stardew Valley type game. Imagine all current ingame mehanics but combined with unique NPCs and building your relationships with them, helping your community grow, that would be awesome.
Everyone has such different things they want. Some things you mentioned I don't care about it have never thought of. Like yeah I'd like to see a lot of mods made base game but I don't expect them to add all these small things and tweaks that not everyone wants. Equipment can always be added and as long as they aren't lying they say they will add more for free which they did for 22. I think they just need to be more open about their reasons behind stuff. I agree with their reason for using their own engine. I don't agree with not having precision farming and no explanation. Console players will never have all mods that's up to Sony and Microsoft you are lucky to have them in my opinion we never did back in 15. Ok, so I play a lot of farming simulator 22 but and I have some things that I want în the new version: 1. More realistic scuplting 2. Make cow farming cheaper 3. More tipes of generators and when you want to buy it it should show the production per day depending on how big the time multiplayer is 4 take out bigger loans (like 2 mil) 5.More snow 6. Easier server cration for multiplayer 7. Realistic fuel consumption 8. Add small plots of land That is all hope someone from the team actualul see this and add some of the things I mentionat. P.S Sorry if I made mistakes english is not my native language.
Cow farming its realistic for now for the prices, if you want you can earn more using the easy mode and not ruin the fun of the hard mode, The generators already show an average income for mounth you need only to make a little of math to understand how much you could earn a day The maximum loan start at a minimum of 500k but can become a lot bigger if you have a high value of terrain or pleacables or production Snow depends on the map you are playing on, if the map you are playing on is based on a country where its not easy that it snows you will se it almost never, if the map its based on a country where it snows always there will be a lot of snow If you put fuel consuption to high you already have realistic consuption but you dont have realistic speed while using equipment, if you want more realism u can go at speed they use irl so you can see that the fuel get used properly Small plots of land are always present in any map
What bothers me the most is the minor details about US farming that Giants ignores year after year. The top price for a crop doesn't happen just once a year (in the middle of the night if playing 1 day months). Why do I need a gravity wagon attached to a running vehicle to unload? Why can't they get basic US details correct? I.E. road signs placed wrong on base US Maps, having to mod in US row crop duals even on FS25, etc. Why can't I open both Hopper bottoms on my semi at the same time? Why can't they get GPS correct to properly center a header on row crops? I grew up on a pig farm for 20 years. Our feed mix was mineral feed mixed with ground corn. We didn't use root crops. I mean, I am not surprised seeing is they wine and dine their "Giants Partners" in Europe multiple times a year, but can even be bothered to attempt any advertising at a US Farm Show.
@samupro9998 I know this, but you won't get 100% mix without it. No pig farm I know of in the central US uses root crops in their pig Food. Same thing with straw in TMR. None of the farmers around where I live use Straw in our TMR. Corn stalks maybe, but never straw. Livestock also doesn't require straw in order to produce manure IRL either. You would think Giants would care at least about some basic details.

My point is that Giants doesn't give a rat's @$$ about their US audience, as evident by the things I pointed out. The road sign placements on Riverbend Springs aren't even correct.

For a game thats made well over 100 million already, it leaves a lot to be desired. It feels very bare and full of stupid pointless mods meanwhile the gane doesnt work. One example the slurry and manure extensions just do not work
The only thing I didn't consider when upgrading was just how long it took to compile all of the mods on console and how little there would be going to 25 right away.
My personal gripe with FS series is that the developers never improved physics on their own. Physics, seasons, gearboxes, and other similar mods that improve gameplay were introduced in FS15. But since FS15, four games came out that have the same toy like vehicle behavior like unmoded FS15 game. They added gearbox, but it feals very clunky in comparison to the FS15 and FS17 version. I tried FS22 and 25, but without physics mods, driving feels very unnatural.
More and more it feels like gaming companies are releasing unfinished games. It is not just giants every company is doing it. How is the harvesting bug still a thing? Fs 25 missed the mark in a lot of places the problem is they want to cater to the younger audience so it really limits the game. Like it would be so cool to have productions based around alcohol. Also nothing has changed with animals. It should be more engaging ie milking a cow by hand or sheering sheep by hand.
I know it’s for reasons, but I am tired of no damage to vehicles. It’s represented by a status bar but I want to see it on the vehicle. Racing games with E ratings have had damage for years what’s the issue?

Yeah the lag can be really bad sometimes. It is a very complex game, but it would definitely be nice to see the developers keep working on performance optimization!
I too think it is a good game, in fact I would go as far to say that it is great!The game definitely added many great new mechanics and features. With that being said, I personally felt there are some aspects that were not polished the way I would have hoped for them to be. -Garrett
Axe the NPC interaction stuff, and make the tornado aspect realistic, or just get rid of it as well.The ground deformation, and the wet look on tires rain/mud is cool. But not paying the price for FS 25... too expensive for the lack of quality, and features.
I started playing farming simulator when FS13 come to xbox. Some many memories playing that game. I would watch puma plow, play his "let's play play" while I would play my game. And I have played every Farm sim release since then. I have to say I'm not entirely happy with 25, the graphics are weird and some of the game play doesn't make any sense. Im still enjoying it though with about 200 hours now on river bend springs

Just seemed like Giants kind of half assed things and completely relies on modders way to much to make the game better. For a farming game why such few tractors and on top of that like no old school tractors like the farmall or jd 4020. And why no fire fighting things. And Giants is adding mods that was base game in 22. So for console players it takes up slot count yet Giants could of easily added to the game and not as a mod
The firefightermod wasn´t from Giants, it was from creative mesh (defintily not Giants). And anyways there are two firetrucks in the ModPack, so what are you talking about?
giants please fix the impassable paths on forestry roads with tractors (near fields 64) the branches hang to low so the small tractors or even skid steers get caught please giants fix it please.
I know this will have very mixed feedback but I feel like if 25 had 17s lighting (with minor changes) and sounds it could be so much more immersive…and loose the tornado, what was that
3:26 this is when farming simulator came to next gen console (ps4 Xbox 1) I believe the first mod hub happened here to and was huge to see in console gaming
I’ve been playing farming simulator since FS 11, and I know that my comments will probably make some people mad. The game is called farming, simulator not logging simulator. I bought FS 19 but barely have played it and the only reason I bought FS 22 was for the Vermeer equipment. I do not plan on buying FS 25 at all. People talked about the feature of rough plowed ground well it was like that in FS 11. I wish they would focus more on the farming aspect of the game. There’s a lot more to farming than sitting in the tractor, prepping fields or harvesting crops and I think the financial side needs to be completely reworked. I grew up on a farm in Wyoming, the farmers that were successful we’re not buying new equipment every year they didn’t start out with new equipment either. Why not introduce, living costs, and/or operating loans? I can’t understand why alfalfa is not in the game either it is a major crop in this country. And to that end, you should have to check moisture in your crops before you harvest them. Same goes for field prep. You have to do it when the conditions are right you can’t just do it whenever. One of the features that I miss on the mods that showed up in FS 11 and FS 13 was interactive control.
i gotta admit, 25 is both impressive and underwhelming at the same time. so yea, its just weird. i came in at 15 to, currently play both 22 and 25. 22 still feels like home for sure.
Farming simulator had always the issue of properly fastening vehicles to a lowboy. Yeah you can strap de vehicles on and fasten them but when you move the machine just slides of as if you just did not fasten your machine.
I want the old helper system back and the old menu style back. The old farming simulator before it was production simulator and waiting simulator was much better.
Can we have heavy lifting on console? I know it's not very realistic, but it can be very helpful. I've currently turned FS 25 into farming contract simulator, and the government substidy mod helps me afford all the necessary equipment.

I’ve played fs since day 1 fs 25 was so bad with crashing on ps5 I sent in 41 crash reports and last week sony gave me a refund and deleted the game. Hopefully it gets a big console update because it’s crashing on ps and Xbox
It would be nice if console players got more pc mods as you said Spencer/Garret,they rely heavily on the modders it seems but it feels like console players get missed out when it comes to the realistic mods all console players want aswell.
More american equipment, Passenger in tractors (there is a buddy seat for a reason), older tractors like more JD soundguards, 4020, and 8000 series, and smaller combines for a medium farming operation like case 2388, Jd sts (With American options)

25 should have just been a dlc for 22

Why can't I open both Hopper bottoms on my semi at the same time?
Why can't they get GPS correct to properly center a header on row crops?
I grew up on a pig farm for 20 years. Our feed mix was mineral feed mixed with ground corn. We didn't use root crops.
I mean, I am not surprised seeing is they wine and dine their "Giants Partners" in Europe multiple times a year, but can even be bothered to attempt any advertising at a US Farm Show.
In fs you are not obligated to feed them root crops...
@samupro9998 I know this, but you won't get 100% mix without it. No pig farm I know of in the central US uses root crops in their pig Food.
Same thing with straw in TMR. None of the farmers around where I live use Straw in our TMR. Corn stalks maybe, but never straw. Livestock also doesn't require straw in order to produce manure IRL either.
You would think Giants would care at least about some basic details.

@@samupro9998 Thank you captain obvious. Which is why 70-80% of the in-game equipment are Euro spec and most need mods for US Style. My point isn't that everything has to be like the US. My point is that Giants doesn't give a rat's @$$ about their US audience, as evident by the things I pointed out. The road sign placements on Riverbend Springs aren't even correct.
@@MooseFarms329 I think it makes sense they focus more on the European farming because they are a german company so they focus more on farms near their region, and I think most players are from europe so
For a game thats made well over 100 million already, it leaves a lot to be desired. It feels very bare and full of stupid pointless mods meanwhile the gane doesnt work. One example the slurry and manure extensions just do not work
The only thing I didn't consider when upgrading was just how long it took to compile all of the mods on console and how little there would be going to 25 right away.

My personal gripe with FS series is that the developers never improved physics on their own.
Physics, seasons, gearboxes, and other similar mods that improve gameplay were introduced in FS15. But since FS15, four games came out that have the same toy like vehicle behavior like unmoded FS15 game. They added gearbox, but it feals very clunky in comparison to the FS15 and FS17 version. I tried FS22 and 25, but without physics mods, driving feels very unnatural.
Add major truck and car brands, add to and polish to build mod
Please add the dlc from previous games into the next game for free also please make mods easier to update across games for inexperienced modders

More and more it feels like gaming companies are releasing unfinished games. It is not just giants every company is doing it. How is the harvesting bug still a thing? Fs 25 missed the mark in a lot of places the problem is they want to cater to the younger audience so it really limits the game. Like it would be so cool to have productions based around alcohol. Also nothing has changed with animals. It should be more engaging ie milking a cow by hand or sheering sheep by hand.
I know it’s for reasons, but I am tired of no damage to vehicles. It’s represented by a status bar but I want to see it on the vehicle. Racing games with E ratings have had damage for years what’s the issue?
I love playing farm simulator the other problem it has is when you buy a lot of tractors or different vehicles it lags really bad or even when you place sheds
Yeah the lag can be really bad sometimes. It is a very complex game, but it would definitely be nice to see the developers keep working on performance optimization!
I think your perspective was right except on 22, i think 22 is a good game
I too think it is a good game, in fact I would go as far to say that it is great!The game definitely added many great new mechanics and features. With that being said, I personally felt there are some aspects that were not polished the way I would have hoped for them to be. -Garrett

Axe the NPC interaction stuff, and make the tornado aspect realistic, or just get rid of it as well.The ground deformation, and the wet look on tires rain/mud is cool. But not paying the price for FS 25... too expensive for the lack of quality, and features.
I started playing farming simulator when FS13 come to xbox. Some many memories playing that game. I would watch puma plow, play his "let's play play" while I would play my game. And I have played every Farm sim release since then. I have to say I'm not entirely happy with 25, the graphics are weird and some of the game play doesn't make any sense. Im still enjoying it though with about 200 hours now on river bend springs
It’s weird how things that was added as dlc for 22 was just a couple of base game items in 25. And where is precision farming? Just seemed like Giants kind of half assed things and completely relies on modders way to much to make the game better. For a farming game why such few tractors and on top of that like no old school tractors like the farmall or jd 4020. And why no fire fighting things. And Giants is adding mods that was base game in 22. So for console players it takes up slot count yet Giants could of easily added to the game and not as a mod
From what I heard precision farming won't be coming to fs-25 unless Giants comes up with their own version of it
In 25 they removed 70% of all vehicles and tools
It's a different game, they are not going to add the EXACT same tractors as in fs22

giants please fix the impassable paths on forestry roads with tractors (near fields 64) the branches hang to low so the small tractors or even skid steers get caught please giants fix it please.

3:26 this is when farming simulator came to next gen console (ps4 Xbox 1) I believe the first mod hub happened here to and was huge to see in console gaming
I’ve been playing farming simulator since FS 11, and I know that my comments will probably make some people mad. The game is called farming, simulator not logging simulator. I bought FS 19 but barely have played it and the only reason I bought FS 22 was for the Vermeer equipment. I do not plan on buying FS 25 at all. People talked about the feature of rough plowed ground well it was like that in FS 11. I wish they would focus more on the farming aspect of the game. There’s a lot more to farming than sitting in the tractor, prepping fields or harvesting crops and I think the financial side needs to be completely reworked. I grew up on a farm in Wyoming, the farmers that were successful we’re not buying new equipment every year they didn’t start out with new equipment either. Why not introduce, living costs, and/or operating loans? I can’t understand why alfalfa is not in the game either it is a major crop in this country. And to that end, you should have to check moisture in your crops before you harvest them. Same goes for field prep. You have to do it when the conditions are right you can’t just do it whenever. One of the features that I miss on the mods that showed up in FS 11 and FS 13 was interactive control.
I think that you should try to talk to some major truck brands like Chevy ram ford gmc or add a tow truck body to the cv international.
I have a Console control idea (R1+ down Dpad) doesn't have a use for lights use that for four ways or hazards lights
Essentially focus kept it professional, then it returned back to Giants and these people are not really good at self publishing.
I think the terraforming is finicky in 22, it's either too drastic or too subtle. Did they fix that in 25? 😊
They somewhat fixed it but 22 and 25 are the same
i gotta admit, 25 is both impressive and underwhelming at the same time. so yea, its just weird. i came in at 15 to, currently play both 22 and 25. 22 still feels like home for sure.
They need to make the game more optimized I’m not even worried about mods or anything else the game needs to run better
Farming simulator had always the issue of properly fastening vehicles to a lowboy. Yeah you can strap de vehicles on and fasten them but when you move the machine just slides of as if you just did not fasten your machine.

Can we have heavy lifting on console? I know it's not very realistic, but it can be very helpful. I've currently turned FS 25 into farming contract simulator, and the government substidy mod helps me afford all the necessary equipment.

I’ve played fs since day 1 fs 25 was so bad with crashing on ps5 I sent in 41 crash reports and last week sony gave me a refund and deleted the game. Hopefully it gets a big console update because it’s crashing on ps and Xbox

Script mods will never come to console since PlayStation and Xbox don't allow to change the game's script
More american equipment, Passenger in tractors (there is a buddy seat for a reason), older tractors like more JD soundguards, 4020, and 8000 series, and smaller combines for a medium farming operation like case 2388, Jd sts (With American options)

Super strength on consoles will never happen, super strength is a script mod, and console companies like Playstation and Xbox don't allow those
