That zoom out when typing in Boomerang was some top-notch editing right there 👍
Only the best
Boomerangs are some of the most underrated coaster types. Very intense. Also love these quizzes keep it up
They're really not all that bad.
Ugh I don't like them. They make me neausous. Intense yes. For me. No
As much as I love roller coasters, boomerang coasters are boring and painfull.
Boomerangs don't do anything though they're just intense for being intense. It's what a teenager imagines a coaster should be.
I'm surprised that Ninja at SFOG before becoming Blue Hawk wasn't on the list since it had a lot nicknames such as "the headache machine" for example.
Interesting quiz. Apparently this was based on the rankings on Captain Coaster.
After just riding Ice Mountain Bobsleds and Big Timber Log Ride (not a credit for me) I’m shocked they would be in a list like this. Both were very unique fun rides with a lot of character in my opinion.
I’m shocked Las Vegas Nevada New York coaster isn’t on hear that ride is god awful
@@brianwolf399Supposedly the new trains did wonders in making that coaster rideable
Im surprised no Nevada coasters appeared on this list, especially Big Apple and Desperado
Video idea: Best rolling launches in North America
Stop.
Video Idea: how much I love rough Woodies and bad Vekoma SLC's
End of list
Maxxx Force
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, USA, North America, Earth, The Solar System, The Milky Way™
Sadly, my 2 worst rides are ones that are (technically) defunct: Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom and Twister 2 at Elitch's (The latter got a refresh...while the park was still trying to find a new site. Though, it's more of a Disneyland Space Mountain kind of refresh than a Top Thrill 2 kind of refresh, where it just got new trains and a retrofitted audio/visual package. Granted, I'm discounting Twister 3 a bit because I haven't been to Elitch's ever since this year). Though, I do remember that Elitch's Boomerang was considered to be one of the better ones of that model.
I agree, elitch boomerang wasnt bad
Completely disagree with Teddy Bear at Stricker’s Grove. It was my oldest daughter’s first wooden coaster and it got her hooked on roller coasters in general.
The boomerang at elitch gardens is tolerable despite it having hard bulky restraints I’ve had a good rides on it.
Video Idea: Top 15 worst launches that you have been on or in America
A cool idea for a video could be to rank the 4 major reigons of America by their coaster collection
No worst coasters list is complete without Firebird at Six Flags America.
As someone who has ridden a lot of these coasters including Firebird I disagree. It’s just eh.
Roar is worse
Flight of fear at KI is not that bad. I rode it this year for the first time so maybe it used to be worse, but I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.
Great video! I nominate Son of Beast for the top 50 though.
Ice Mountain Bobsleds really isn't that bad. It is nice way to introduce kids to some bigger coasters. I remember riding it once as kid and even though I was scared as hell to ride it at first, I ended up enjoying by the end.
Looping Thunder, a defunct Pinfari Zyklon ZL42 model, at Oaks Amusement Park was much worse. That ride was so rough and painful that my shoulders hurt for 5 days my visit to the park. The discomfort and headbanging I got from both Viper and Green Lantern: First Flight (may this ride Rust In Pieces) at Magic Mountain were more enjoyable than the pain I got from that ride.
Video idea: Do's and don'ts of visiting a theme park (follow up to your video of maximizing your day)
Solid, think firebird, big apple, hurricane fun spot atlanta (worst transitions I’ve ever experienced, solid airtime tho), honestly mine blower after the rmc refurb is horrendous going from one track type to another, Pegasus, le monster, hurler should 100% be on here
I agree BTW, those first gen Vekoma Family Suspended coasters SUCK
Tidal Wave looks pretty next to the ocean in Ocean City, MD, but it’s one of the earliest boomerangs and still has the old restraints. They have tried to care for it, but since it’s right next to the ocean, it’s definitely showing its age.
The worst coaster is Ninja at SFSL. I rather ride an SLC
having ridden cliffhanger, I will say it feels like a janky fair coaster with bad transitions and jolty moments. would not recommend
Got 25/50. Seems not great, but I ended up getting basically every coaster I would've been able to, so that's a win for me lol. Also Dahlonega Mine Train is fun imo, but I can see why people don't like it... Also, Swamp Thing isn't that bad. Just rode it last year and it's not much of a "bang" like others I've ridden.
Also, I need to catch up on Airtime Thrills videos...
No wonder it has taken so long for Vekoma to comeback to the US (outside of Disney). This continent is filled with their older, bad/mediocre rides.
Haha yeah all their 90s models are on here
This dude has obviously never ridden Pegasus at Mt Olympus.
The Flight of Fear clones are good rides. They both rank top 5 for me from their respective parks. It may just be because they’re air conditioned. Lol. Who knows
I liked FoF even when they had the awful OTSRs (though I probably wouldn't like it these days if it still had them). Fun launch, good atmosphere, good theming. Awful capacity.
@@DoomPlague That awful capacity is a good thing when you’re trying to avoid heat stroke from lapping I305 on a hot day. Lol
Also I liked sand serpent :(
The hang and bangs are bad. Came off flying ace saying it was “shitty ace concussion chase”
Soaring Eagle was pure pain for me. Granted I was having some SI joint problems and it was my last day of a 15 day coaster trip. So maybe going again sometime when I'm in better joint shape I'll have a different opinion.
Soarin eagle is terrible. Pretty much as bad and painful and uncomfortable as time warp. Remove them both ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you imagine to be a ride operator of these rides and are required (as part of the opening procedures) to ride any of these rides.....
I can imagine, because I used to be an operator at Flying School. I've ridden that ride too many times, and I'm definitely not mourning it's removal.
As a Wisconsinite, how does he have Meteor on there, but not Pegasus? Pegasus is way worse than Meteor.
Tidal Wave opened in 1986 at Trimper Rides in Ocean City Maryland
Shots fired!! Haha, the Timber Wolf is legit tho, not nearly as good as it use to be before they changed its layout and added trims, but it's still a solid little wooden coaster.
Spoilers for the end of the video.
Wow Tidal wave! Probably the first time I've seen it even mentioned in a video like this. For context, this ride is in Ocean City on the boardwalk, and while I've never been on it (can't really handle most roller coasters), my mom has and she got a real migraine on it. Total headbanger of a coaster, from what i remember you could almost feel the shakiness even off of the ride. Cool to see it here nether the less
Canada getting insulated
Giant Dipper in San Diego has to be the worst roller coaster I've ever been on. It has a beautiful location but so painful!!!
Tidal wave in Ocean City Maryland. It's fine. It's a boomerang. It's a change of pace after chilling on the beach all day.
I had no idea that existed
Your coaster knowledge is pretty darn impressive!! Especially considering you've been on a lot of these. How are you not in a coma?
I don't know what's funnier: Swamp Thing being on there without Twisted Typhoon and Boomerang (in spite of basically every other SLC and Boomerang being on there), or you forgetting that Wild Adventures existed.
I’m surprised no Vegas area coasters are on here. A lot of people report a terrible experience on the New York, New York casino one, and Desperado at Buffalo Bill’s hotel and casino has gotten to be a rough ride over the years Not sure if it will ever open again.
I can think of at least a dozen coasters I've been on that are worse than Teddy Bear. That doesn't deserve to be here. The 90s Vekomas can stay though.
You figured it out, but Tidal Wave is a boomerang in Ocean City, MD. It’s bad.
Rode Cliffhanger earlier this year and it wasn’t at all a bad ride. Definitely very jank, but not rough or uncomfortable. Defiance had more head banging
SEABREEZE NAMEDROP LET'S GOOOOOO
Little Leaper, the kids coaster at Lakemont Park caused huge bruises. They let adults ride now but I kind of wish they didn't.
Stunned Big apple coaster wasn't on the list
I disagree I actually love time warp, out of 6 rides I only had headbanging once
I wish i coulda gotten a reride
After I typed in Hurler, Green Lantern, Gotham City Gauntlet, Hurricane and none of them came up I just stopped because my list is obviously nowhere close to this one
I’d love to see a “top 10 worst coasters built since 2020”
Or the past 10 years or so
Just a side note, Canada is in North America
Right but the quiz was for America...i guess you can extrapolate north America from that
@@AirtimeThrills gotcha! I read your title and commented too quickly!!
I wouldn’t have Silver Streak or Canada’s Wonderland’s Bat on here if it were my list.
Big Apple should be here. I am a big person and knew all the stories but I can take the pain with over 500 credits. New trains they said its not too bad they said. The first drop gave me air time in the middle of the train, then slam at the bottom of the first drop the base of my back slammed against the strangely designed seats. I though my back snapped it was super harsh and I knew I had the rest to go through. I love Arrow and Vekoma jank but the seats were so bad, I think I would rather the old trains and take the punches tbh. Perhaps I caught it on a bad day but I was gutted.
Gauntlet is by far the best SLC I've been on so far. Nor easter probably destroys it though.
Agree with most of the list, I also think thunderhawk is probably the only slc I've been on that I liked.
"Dahlonega Mine Train Isn't A Bad Mine Train" You Must Love Monorails........ That Beat You With A Club
So are we getting a top 50 worst coasters from the channel soon?
I agree with Pirates Hideaway for New Jersey
OK, the one of these I've ridden is Zoomerang at Compounce, and it honestly does not deserve to be on a worst-coasters-ever list. It's a Boomerang and it's not that rough. The worst you could say is that it's unremarkable.
(I think Zoomerang's vertical loop was the first time I ever noticed I was graying out on a coaster. It's got some respectable force.)
A little too heavy on Boomerangs and SLCs.
day 2 of asking if u can make a video ranking the defunct six flags parks or just all of the major defunct parks in america
If I were making this list, I would definitely have Le Monstre on here.
Video idea: the worlds vekoma SLC's. From worst to best.
Meteor should be nowhere near this. That ride is fine
Of all the bad clones on this list, I swear the creator probably forgot Six Flags America even existed.
Though there’s definitely some questionable choices on this list. Somebody just hates Vekoma.
Who ever this guy is, really hates vekoma boomerangs, slc's, and arrow loopers. But mostly a hatred of boomerangs, and even though I only rode one boomerang at knott's berry farm, I think that all these coasters are a solid 10/10 in my eyes
I get why the Boomerangs were cloned as heavily as they were too, thanks to the novelty of the ride (3 inversions on a relatively small plot of land and smaller budget, but that's my inner tycoon talking).
@@TheLomdr And since it's a shuttle coaster, you could advertise it as giving you 6 inversions, three of them backwards.
The modern equivalent would be something like a Sky Rocket II or one of the small Eurofighters. It doesn't take up a lot of land, is less expensive than a lot of rides, and to the general public the ride format has a fair bit of novelty. Good value for money. But Boomerangs are not the smoothest rides and to enthusiasts they're overly familiar.
@@MattMcIrvin Yeah, they're a bit too prolific for their own good. Though, we are getting a new take on the boomerang with the Super Boomerang model from Vekoma themselves that's going to Great Adventure, IIRC
This guy really hates Vekoma lol I certainly enjoyed Tidal Wave in Maryland. Must be biased against all Boomerangs. Some of these other ones are puzzling, like the Oregon log ride? Really? And maybe it's my own bias, but no Arrow belongs on this list either. I scored 37/50 and it would have been a lot lower had I not figured out the Vekoma thing.
Green lantern should of been on here the only coaster I’ve ever ridden once and said never again
My first thought when you said 1998 in California was Wind Jammer. For me one of the worst coaster ever.
I remember taking this quiz a while ago and I didn’t do too well
No CGA Grizzly? Bah!
My home park Darien lake go disrespected. Understandable though because the 2 vekoma clones and predator
This guy keeps picking on Canada's Wonderland. Tell that to the little girl that rode that back of Flight Deck with me as was her mom's plea, although I admit it's a pretty bad ride, but not as bad as Time Warp or Great Canadian Minebuster.
Also: I could be wrong, so please correct me if I am, but I believe Zamperla owns Deno's Wonderwheel, NOT Coney Island. Also: While Zampera Volare coasters are bad: the one at Canada's Wonderalnd is worse than Deno's Wonder wheel. Like I said: I could be wrong about Zamperla owning Deno's Wonderwheel and not Coney Island. If I am, please let m know. Thanks for posting!
99% sure Zamperla owns Luna Park which is why its loaded with Zamperla rides
@@AirtimeThrills I need to do more research on that: All I know is that there are two parks there and one is in the middle of the bigger one that owns The Cyclone which is now my favourite wooden coaster I've ridden since El Toro was rough when I rode it the same year (last year) and Coaster at Playland now has seatbelts. BTW Ghostrider comes in 2nd.
@@AirtimeThrillsI believe Luna Park is the name of the beach regardless of owner. Once again: I could be wrong about that.
As a happily ex-Californian, I kept looking for Great America's Willard's Whizzer or Grizzly, and Magic Mountain's Flashback. The Great America two were just plain boring, and the Magic Mountain one was strange and painful. And I admit, on the Ohio listings, I kept saying "Son Of Beast!" Oh well...
Grizzly should have been on here for sure. I think for the most part this was supposed to be active coasters
this one kinda sucked. basically just slc's, boomerangs, and hang'n'bangs. Teddy Bear and Meteor definitely don't belong on it.
I’ve been on cliffhanger multiple times. It’s just very Janky
I won't go out of my way to praise any Boomerang, but they aren't exactly awful rides. SLCs? Yeah, those are crap. The Boomerangs, with the right restraints, aren't awful. Just repetitive.
I hateeee Soarin Eagle in NY.
idk about the other boomerangs but flashback isn't even bad not sure why it's on here
Thoughts on american heartland biggest thing to ever come to OK
HEAR ME OUT! Swiss Toboggan would be okay if it had an open car.
It wouldnt hurt it thats for sure
Okay I'm Gonna Take The Test And Come Back :Okay I Finished I Got 37
Boomerangs aren't that bad
Doo wopper is the worst coaster at morey’s
I am very sure Kiddy Hawk is in South Carolina. Just saying. We NC people want to be very clear we're not associated with that thing.
Youre not wrong
I wiuld do horrible on this, i have a horrible memory when it comes to remembering a rollercoaster and the park its in, i get KD and KI confused all the time lmao.
F'real
Probably watch the 2004 Florida one be the wooden coaster by the highway that closed a few years ago. 😅
Edit: Guess I was wrong. 😅
Yeah I think this was meant to be active coasters
Starliner?
@@jameslitwin1726 was thinking of the Danica Hurricane that was, I believe down by Fort Lauderdale.
Video idea: Worst drops
Good idea
Goliath would likely make #1
@@SnowghostFilms which one 😂
@@CatsAreKindaCoolthe one at magic mountain
@@CatsAreKindaCool the one at six flags, duh!
Only 19/50
To bad defunct coasters aren’t on there. Everyone’s favorite punching bag wasn’t there. T3 at Kentucky Kingdom lol.
No way both of the Enchanted Forest Coasters are on here. That’s when you know you messed up.
Wildcat at HersheyPark SUCKED. Am I glad that Wildcat’s Revenge exists now. RMC are such legends
Worst coaster ive ridden is T3, oh god that hurt REALLY BAD
Hey airtime thrills :)
"Canada is not USA."
You're right, it's USA Lite
Last time I rode the bat in 2019, it wasn't that bad... *To be honest, I was young* I may have to see how bad it actually is. I'm fact, according to what people say, I may like it less than Goofy's Sky School at Disney... Who knows.
Also, I agree that Corkscrew at Silverwood doesn't deserve to be on there.
Hmmm, I wonder when he’ll bring up the Big Apple Coaster. (This comment was made before watching the video)
So Super Flight didn’t make the list? Is that because it’s now defunct?
Canada is part of North America though.
First
Sand serpent is in Tampa. Orlando and Tampa are not the same city just FYI lol
