Great video James, thank you. We are researching Cape Verde for next May so will be watching your videos over and over. Sadly the swim up rooms have all gone not surprisingly :)
I spot a northern twang😄! Going to RIU Boa Vista from Manchester with TUI on 31st October this year, has anyone been before Oct-Nov time. Love this video! We're staying in the swim up rooms so looking forward to it 😍
Just looking again at your fab video James, and whilst getting my planning head on could you tell me if you need any sort of Visa or other documents/injections etc please ? i have read a few conflicting items so I thought i would ask someone who has actually been. Thanks for any info you can provide.
I remember there was a Cape Verde Gov traveller entry form that we filled out through TUI and there was no charge when we booked it through them. Think we had to complete it at least 5 days before we went. Probably best to look at Gov.uk for their travel advice which gives current info(if you are from UK) we didn't have any jabs and were fine. Cheers.
Hi James, great video...we are thinking of coming for our wedding anniversary at the beginning of December and I was just wondering about evening dresss code.....is it trousers or will smart shorts suffice?...grateful for any insight you can offer.
Think the official dress code is no vest tops and long trousers for men in the restaurants. They were more relaxed than that though and l wore jeans most evenings. Think you would be fine with smart shorts. Cheers for your comment.
Yes, download the RIU app and book the restaurants through that. I think you may be able to book them at reception too. We didn't go on any trips, had plenty to do lazing around the pool etc.😂 Cheers
Yes, it was quite windy when we were there and heard others say the same who had been before us. To be fair, it didn't bother us that much and was quite welcome to cool us down a bit. Cheers
I have a question if you don't mind answering. I'm booked going in October theres stories about flies and mosquitoes. Did you see any flies out there around the food? Thanks
There were flies about when we were eating at lunch but l suppose no more than you would expect in Africa...it didn't put us off and would defo go back. Hope you have a great time. Cheers.
Hi James, this is such a gorgeous video! Thanks a lot. We think about travelling to Cape Verde in November 2025.
Hi Sonja. If you go to Cape Verde, lm sure you will have a great time. Many thanks for the comment.👍
